Confused

Has anyopne out there with cardiomyopathy had the Lap RNY with Dr. Hornbostel and continued taking the same meds as before surgery? Just curious!!

Hi Theresa...my name is Debbie, I'm from Harrisonville, MO and I plan on having the Lap Band Surgery too and with Dr. Hornbostel! I don't have Cardiomyopathy but my hubby does! His, is the one where his heart beats way too fast, hard and irregular...he is on a lot of meds. too! Sorry that I can't help you but if you have the same type of heart problem as my hubby please keep me up to date on your situation! He is overweight and I have thought about the Lap Bad for him but was afraid to even bring it up with his condition. He is going to have surgery on Oct 5th for a cyst in his nose but they are going to do a local on him. They have tried regular surgeries on him twice now and had to wake him back up before they could do anything because of his heart...that was before they knew what heart condition he had. Now, he cardiologist has put him under once, for a cardio version (where they try to shock him into normal sinus rhythm)...that lasted for a day. Anyway, please keep in touch and let me know...Deb M
