I got a call from Dena!

...........sorry guys, it wasn't the one we were praying for! Medicare, believe it or not has asked for a shrink eval. on me! Another hoop.....dang! I should of lost all my excess weight by now with all the hoops I had to jump through (other things as well as for wls)! Anyway, I know what I will be doing tomorrow along with calling Dena back! She had said something else about waiting for a call back from the hospital but I didn't catch it...I just went kinda deaf and numb after I heard the part about the shrink. It wasn't what I was hoping to hear! Hubby too, I saw him out the corner of my eye, with his fingers and toes crossed! I don't think he was breathing either, cause when he realized it wasn't "the call" it looked like somebody stuck a needle in him and all the air blew out...lol Keep us in prayer, it WILL happen!!! Debbie that isnt unusual. all of us had to have the psych eval too. it isnt too bad and wont hold you up too long. Jan

Deb I got the same call from Dena today also. I believe she said to me that she was calling all of Dr. H's patients that havnt had the surgery yet. Medicare in the past i guess has been easy on checking patient records. At the seminar I remember someone asked Dr. H if we could get a eval from our Pastor and he said that should work that Medicare wasnt to picky. I guess they are starting to check patient records or something. Dena said I could get something from my Pastor but I'd be taking the chance that if Medicare checked my records and didnt see a pysch eval from a shrink they might decide not to pay so hang in there Deb we're all right there with ya on this. Im gonna call Medicare tomorrow and see what they have to say, I guess it wont hurt to ask em. Also is there anyone thats found a shrink that accepts Medicare?? So far around here the I havnt, cheapest one I found near me charges like $500 bucks I so can't afford that with moving and all so we'll see I guess. It's in the Lords hands. Pray for me Deb and I'll be praying for you also, we'll get it done one way or the other, we're gonna be on that losing bench no matter what!!!!! Bless ya, Andrew

I was lucky to find one in this area that does accept medicare and it wound up costing me 120.00 . They have one in Sedalia too that takes medicare. There should be one over there somewher. A Phychologist is what you need. sure hope you all find one soon. There has to be one somewhere that will accept medicare. check with your nearest hospital. they might have one on staff that will accept it. I thouhgt it was Dr. H that wanted the eval not medicare but anyway . God will help you all find someone soon im sure. will be praying for you to get that done . Jan
