Calling Lap Banders
Hi. I am looking forward to being banded soon, and wanted to learn if and how many banders there are in Missouri, more specifically St. Louis. You can email me back at:[email protected]. THANKS!!
Hi there! I am actually in Kansas City, but I thought I'd say hello anyway! I have been banded a little over 2 years now. I have lost 100 pounds so far. I began at over 378! So I feel like I'm doing okay even though it's been slow. My life is much more active now and I can walk an hour everyday non stop. I could not do that before surgery. I can still eat junk, but try to live by the rule "just because I can doesn't mean I should". This is not an easy road. Congratulations on your soon to be band! I really believe that this was the right choice for me. Best wishes for your surgery and a speedy recovery!

Hi Janet. Nice to meet you! Sounds like you are doing very well. At times I have had mixed emotions about getting the band, but people I have spoken with say that is normal. I just wi**** was yesterday. I am in the process of getting off diet coke (what a winner that one is). I had the jitters very bad yesterday and am learning to substitute flavored coffee for the coke. So far so good.
Who did your surgery? I was looking into one of the surgeons in KC, but decided I should stay in St. Louis - 3 1/2 hour drive for a fill is a bit much. I hope I wil be as successful as you!
