WHAT HAPPENING TUESDAY

Went to see my PCP yesterday and She was really happy at how much weight I have lost already. And she agreed with me about trying to get the shots in my knees now would maybe be the best thing to do instead of jumping into another surgery. I like Her scales they weight the same as mine do at home. Lol I now need to lose 25 more pounds and I will be below 200 or in Onederland !!! I havent been below 200 in years. Yesterday when I went to town , I went to the drugstore to get my B-12 prescription filled and since I had to wait for awhile and I hadn't taken my walk yesterday morning before I went to town I decided to see how far I could walk on the flat sidewalk in the mini mall there. It is about a block long and I walked the length 6 times back and forth. WOW. And it wasn't but a little over a month ago that I could barely get from the truck into the drugstore . This surgery is amazing. Lana: your soup sounds really good. My mother use to make hamburger soup and all of us kids loved it. I really like soups they are one of my favorite things to eat . Before surgery and after both. Now that I am able to eat things that aren't pureed I can eat some regular home made soups. I am going to make our soup of butternut squash this week sometime. I know you will be enjoying getting to visit your daughter and grandson more now that they are closer. Did you hear from Adam how his first day at school went ? Hope he found some one to be friends with and will enjoy it. Melissa I know what you are talking about about getting cold easier. I have been wearing light sweaters and jackets that I use to wear in the cold winter before as my only protection . I would go out and it was really cold with just a sweater on and be comfortable . So I am thinking I might ought to go to the thrift shop and look for a coat for the winter. I have one that I havent given away but it is sure awfully big on me already but it might have to do anyway. I have found that almost any recipe can be converted into good ones for us. Instead of heavy cream you can use different things. One thing is Yemen. That is plain yogurt , drained overnight in cheesecloth . I hang it over the faucet in the kitchen sink . It gives the texture of the cream and is good for you and lots less fat. There are lots of other things that you can also do with the recipes too. I think it would be a great idea Melissa for you to come up with a good new recipe for us. I am trying to cook more healthy and even Joe seems to like it more. Yes we will all remember Sherr. Her surgery is the 29th isn't it? Is she going to Columbia on the 28th and is anyone going with her? Craig: great to see you on line posting . I know it is getting harder and harder for me to find time to post sometimes. Thank God I still wake up in the middle of the night to do this. Lol. Congratulation on the losing the small child . Soon it will be a large adult. Lol hey you better watch swinging in the park , someone will think you are a kid again. Lol Barbara: LOL you tickle me about the B-12 shot and you have given yourself insulin for a long time havent you? I admit that the needle is a lot larger than an insulin needle but just don't look at that part. Lol Doesn't it amaze you all you are beginning to be able to do. Just like the standing and it not killing you. It is so great. That is what I have decided about naps in the middle of the day. I gave myself permission to take one and I can then get twice as much done later on instead of vegging out. Andrew: Hey there guy hey believe Melissa when she says you will be colder when you have surgery. Mine really bothers me when I sit down I am always grabbing one of the throws and covering up while I watch TV. and I had never done that before. Hey anything I can help with on planning your new yard will love to help with and I have lots of flower seeds I can send her. Well if she wants the kind I have that is. I will send her a list of what I have and she can tell me what she wants and I will send them to her if she would like. I hate to keep calling your wife she . What is her name. Lol Sounds like you will be pretty busy in the next couple of weeks getting every thing packed and moved. Then unpacked again. Glad the tornadoes didn't tear up the place you are moving into. Is there a place there close you can get into when a tornado is coming your way? Mobile homes aren't very safe in storms. Hope all of you have a great Tuesday. Good morning Jan and Everyone!! Just a quick "HELLO" this morning, not to much planned today got to go an get more water, go buy a new lamp for my living room (needs more light) just walk around in the store looking Got my bill from the hospital and it wasn't bad, a lot lower than I expected so I don't plan on spending much so I can meet this bill every month. I think now I need to find me a job so I'm going to work on my resume and update it, I'm just looking for something part-time for now because in January I plan on going to school in pursuit of a degree in Theology that is one of my dreams that has been on hold for ever. But now that I can walk and breathe at the same time I'm going to do that with the help of God. Besides writing this book (Autobiography) I would like to do Christian Counseling, and with this new life I plan to get started on things soon, I have been talking about it too long. Well enough chatter for now I pray for a blessed and wonderul day for all of you beautful people on this board and may God's richest blessings be yours. Barb T. in KC

Good Morning Everyone Well can you believe it?? In just 5 days we will be in another month. I cant hardly believe that October is just around the cornor. 4 more days and we will be adding one more beatiful person to the losers bench!!!! CONGRATS Sherr!!!!!! I had such a good day yesterday I got to meet Janet for the first time. She is such a sweetheart!!!! And her little boy is such a cutie!!! Today I am going to paint on my lighthouse. Clean off my back porch/bedroom. And get ready to bring my house plant into the house. The weatherman says that on Thursday it is only suppose to get to 67 for the high and 42 for the low that night. Can we all say it together?? BBBBBbbbrrrrrrrrrrr On Wed is my F-I-L's dr's appointment. So we will see what takes place there. DH has been working on the house trying to get it ready for the winter. Seems to me like we actually might have a winter this year as cold as it is already. I am going to add a new photo later today. So I will have a new face on my post and profile. Looking foward to the meeting in Springfield in Oct. Hopefully I will be bringing someone with me. No not Benny I havent heard from him in a awhile. Good Morning, And isn't it a wonderful morning. The weather here today is just beautiful, sunshine and crisp, a beautiful fall day. I'm like everyone else post-op, I get cold real easy. I haven't been cold since 1992, now I'm like you Jan I reach for a blanket everytime I watch TV. I never wore a coat in the winter now I guess I will have to find one, but I love it!! Jan I went back to my PCP last week and my bloodwork was really good. I have taken cholesterol medicine for 25 years, but Dr. H. didn't put me back on it after surgery. My total cholesterol this time was 164 !!!!! so I don't have to take any cholesterol medicine, I have taken it for so many years it seems strange not to. My bad cholesterol was 114 and they would like to see it under 100 and believe it will keep coming down as I lose weight. I know I haven't posted alot here lately, but it seems that the better I feel the more I do around the house and outside, and the less I get on the computer. Before wls I would set at the computer for hours, BUT NOT ANYMORE, I HAVE A LIFE AGAIN!!!!! Hey what ever happened to Wayne? I guess like me doesn't seem to have time for the computer.
