WEDNESDAY WHATS HAPPENING

Wednesday my weight and measure day. I was really feeling bummed out about the weight, only lost a half of a pound this week . Isn't that a bummer? But feel better since I measured. I must be building muscle mass and that is why I don't weigh less but am smaller. I have lost a ½ inch in both of my upper arms, an inch in my waist, hips and abdomen also in my thighs I have lost an inch in each one so, now I feel better. Anyway I am going to quit stress over how much weight I lose . It will happen I know it will I just am going to be a slow loser I guess. But I do notice that all the lose hanging skin I had on my upper arms seems to be a little less. So maybe my body is just adjusting to what I have lost so far. As long as we eat what we are suppose to and drink what we are suppose to that is what is important. And I did discover refried beans tonight. ½ cup of them with 1/3 cup of cheese on them is a tasty meal and has a much protein as a protein shake and a nice change from the shakes. Rachael: I am so sorry that you are still in pain. Doesn't sound like they have any ideas what it might be. Have they ruled out anything yet? Wow your baby sure is growing up fast isn't she? We will keep praying for you and your pain. Andrew: you aren't just whistling Dixie man about it being cool. It was only 47 here yesterday morning and never got above 65 all day. We got about an 1 ½ before the rain stopped Sunday. Was really nice. We emptied the pool and cleaned it up and put it away today. LOL I never did get to use it. The day I put it up it got cool and the water never did warm enough to use. So next year. I know you all will love your new place and next summer you can have a good garden and be able to work it with your new body. Tell your wife that if she wants some flower seeds I have lots of them. Debbie: So sorry to hear about your husband grandmother passing away but the worst is how you say his mother is. That has to be an awful family situation. We will put you all on the prayer list. Don't know if she can or will change but we can pray for you all to be able to handle the pressure and stress from all of this . So sorry about your back too. I know how that feels it is horrible. Take care of yourself and know that we all love and care about you. Sky: glad to see you too. Glad you came in for a spell. OH yummy that gator meat sounds great. I love it is good eating isn't it. Sherr: congratulations on the weight loss Not much longer till your surgery now is it? We are all waiting along with you for the date. 9 more days yippee. Not long. I think I will get me some Strawberry or Vanilla protein shakes the next time I go to Springfield. Probably Vanilla so I can change the taste every few days. I love the chocolate but am beginning to get burnt out on Choc. Melissa: I don't think you are weird looking up thru trees. I do that all the time. I like laying on my back looking up like that. Very pretty. Some trees are prettier than others. I have always wanted to go up thru Maine and that area in the fall of the year. I can just imagine all of those Maples turning all pretty colors. Do you think your FIL will be able to pass the driving test? It is hard when you get older. It really is. Even if they know what to do the reflexes alone are slow. I hope he is able to make it if he can do so safely. What will you all do with your home if you have to move in with him? Barbara: I don't think you needed the fan or a/c last night either. Did you? Yes with the van ice cream shake you could put it in the blender and add different fresh fruits. Would be really good I would think. You could also go to wal mart and buy some of the Divicia s.f. syrups and mix into that. They have different flavors of the syrup. Isn't it nice to start to be able to do our own cleaning again? I love it. Makes me feel like a person instead of an object anymore So glad you are feeling better every day. This life we have been given is a wonderful one and now since surgery I almost feel like we have a new life to live again. Maybe get some old things right this time around. I have been thinking of a lot of things that have happened over time that I want to change in some way. I think I can change a lot of them or at least add to them , maybe in a good way this time. Love all of you and miss you when you aren't here. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Moring Everyone Is this a sign that were going to have a cold winter this year??? I bet we do the only winter where it is still consitered summer and I am running around in long pants and a flannel shirt, shoes & sox. I had DH lol so hard last night he had tears running down his face. He was cleaning out his garage getting it ready for the siding he is putting in there for the neighbor. DH & his friend are tearing off all the rock on a house and going to be siding it. Anyway around 11:30pm he comes in from the garage wants a snack then off to bed. I went ahead and went to bed cause I was tired and I had walked all thro 3 different grocery stores yesterday and came home and put everything away. I climbed into bed and the sheets were so cold. That I plugged in my hair dryer and turned it on to warm me and the covers up. DH came around the cornor to find out what that noise was and couldnt walk straight out of the room he was lol so hard. Sorry I was cold!!! Well like Jan today is my weight in day. Were going to head over to my F-I-L's house today. To check on him and see if he needs anything. Then home to fix some homemade stew. It sure is nice to see all the new people that are posting here on the board. And all of us oldies that are still hanging around. lol I hope and pray you all have a great day!!! God Bless Melissa

Hello Jan and Missouri Board Just wanted to pop in and say Good Morning! I seem to be getting lots of exercise my DH and I are sort of remodeling our little office space and we have been out looking for different things for the office almost daily so I have been walking instead of riding in those little carts (love them) and my body feels like I have walked a marathon I know it will get better, but I'm not trying to go from 0-60 right now just taking things slow. I love this time of the year cool nights and warm days I wi**** was like this all year around but I would probably never move to some place where the weather is like that all year. I like visiting other places but my heart is Missouri. Guess I get a move on and get started on something else, not going to do much though today,I've got plenty of time, got my bill from the hospital and it wasn't bad at all, I was surprised that it wasn't higher, so I thank God for working things out again and again. Well everyone have a wonderful and blessed day in the Lord. Remember God is always watching over and protecting us. God bless! Barb T. in KC

Jan and all my dear Missouri friends, Just a quickie note to say my DD and grandson will be here today through Friday. I can hardly wait to see them. They got their furniture moved into the house her dad is buying for her and their boxes and stuff they put into a big stock trailer and covered it with a tarp. She'll hopefully get into the house by the end of the month. She's staying with her Aunt and Uncle up there. Adam will start the new school next Monday. Gotta get to work. Love you all so much. Lana

Jan...geez girl, you almost made me cry...you are too sweet! Thank you!! Thank you ALL for your prayers!! GOD IS AWESOME!! We got there, prayed up and ready but God was already there! The complete funeral and dinner was as peaceful as could be! David's Mom must of gotten a good talken to from the Lord before we got there because after she saw David, all she could do is cry! She could only speak a few words at a time and cry more! HIS spirit was all over her! Thank you Lord and Thank You All For Your Prayers! She was nice to me, we shared pictures and ate together. We talked and have made plans to get together in the near future to trade some of the pictures we have. There were no cutdowns, criticizing...nothing! Simply Amazing!! Someone must of mentioned something to the Lord about my back pain too because it's gone! Praise the Lord!! Beautiful Day! even though we had to go to a funeral! Hubby's grandma, 91 years old and still as ornery as she ever was! They say she didn't get bad until the very end. I guess a few months back, she had even escaped the nursing home she was in, she was put there against her will (strong will). When she escaped, I guess two of the nurses went after her and couldn't catch her...lol Go Granny Go!! I guess it took one of the nurses getting into her car to catch us to the 91 year old escapee. The only way they got her to get in the car was by lying to her, telling her they were going to take her home! She thought they meant HER home.....you can imagine the battle once she realized she was going back to the nursing home! 100 lbs. of mean granny can be quite a handful!! ....and I wonder where David's Mom gets it from?? This was one of the stories that was shared at her funeral. My favorite story was when she rode on the back of her grandson's Harley for her 90th Birthday...I have pictures of it....they had one picture of it blown up to an 8x10 and placed it with the other memorial pictures they had of her....what a life! 91 years! and now shes home with God! ( I wanna she her try to escape from there...lol ) ...but really, who would want too? Love & Prayers...and many, many thanks for the prayers, Deb

Well here it is 930 p.m. and I am only posting for today. Had to work today and did not get all that I needed to do done. It is hard to catch up. Been reading the posts and tried to catch up. It will take a while. I am so proud of all of your weight losses. Keep up the good work. Dont get discouraged when no loss is gotten because inches are coming off. I know as I have been standing still and everyone keeps telling me I am geting thinner. I know it is the exercising and I know inches are coming off as my clothes are getting bigger. Been looking for all the surgery dates getting closer. Andrew is going to have his surgery on my one year anniversary. So we will have a party. LOL We are sorta rested up from trip and all went well. Sure do like the cool weather we are having now, but dread the white stuff that might soon fly. LOL. Everyone have a great day tomorrow. Colette
