Surgery Date Set

My date is 10/30/06 first case that morn. yes the day before trick or treat i will fall victim to Dr.Hornbostel LOL hope he does turn into any thing during surgery LOL Hello all i'm new here but have been lurking and reading profile's for at least 6 month's which i have gained alot knowledge and good info.from all of you good folks.My wife had her RNY done at Boone Hosp.in Columbia Mo.by Dr.Pitt on 01/23.06 so far she has lost 101 lbs.So i know what sshe went thru on her post-op and she had alot of complications with her RNY I was supposed to have my RNY done there as well but thanks to Medicare changes and this Center of Excellence i had Medicare put the ax to me 2 days before surgery,so here i go in search of another Hosp.and Surgeon then Bothwell and Dr.H come up so off i go over to a seminar on 07/04/06 yes firecracker day that is when the road to Sedialia started done everything so far that Dena requested go on 10/24/06 andd finsh up before surgery.Sorry this was a little long winded.

welcome John to the board. You wont be sorry that you have Dr. H to do your surgery. He is an excellent surgeon. Your wife sounds like she has done well with her surgery even if she did have complications. Heres hoping you dont have any. and if any of his other patients here lately are any clue you will come thru with flying colors. again welcome to the board and be sure and come back often. John, Congratulations on your surgery date. Dr. Hornbostel is awesome. I will be using Dr. Hodges in Springfield but I would not hesitate to have Dr. Hornbostel if I was on Medicare. Sounds as if your wife has lost well, despite having complications. We'll all be thinking positively of you on 10/30 and keep posting so we can stay in touch. Lana

Hello John Welcome to the Missouri Board Congrats on having surgery soon. I was at the same seminar you were on July 4th. Was pretty crowded for a holiday wasnt it? lol My surgery date is Nov. 14th Hope to see ya around the board more, we're one big happy family here and love having more join us. Yes Andy for a holiday i was very surprized with turn out it almost standing room only when i called to find out when the next seminar was going to be the sec. told me July 4th i asked her 3 times she said i know but it falls on a tues. so that is when he will have it i said ok.

Hi John congratulations on your surgery date . My date for lap band is Oct 4th first thing in the morning with Dr. Pitt . I went to support meeting last week and there were only about 8 there but that was good because we did strength training with the physical therapist and we were all over the floor( for real ). I am glad your wife is doing so well . I'm sure you will also. Good luck to you. Jane
