Rain , rain, rain, we finally had some. Wonderful. I got out early yesterday and did some work in the garden of digging and transplanting and moving and repotting etc. Then I took a walk too, before the rain got here. I think fall is about as busy of a time in the garden as spring time is. I have about 100 tulip bulbs to plant before next month is over. Have a lot of clean up to do in the flower beds. But I love doing this about as much as doing the things I do in the spring too. It is just one of the processes of having pretty flowers. We are going to my brothers in the next week , if we can find time to get a pickup truck and trailer load of horse manure to mix with a large pile of compost we already have. All of my beds will need to be amended in the spring. So to mix this up now it will be nice and ready for them then. Melissa: you were on my mind all day yesterday. Are you feeling any better today? If not you need to get yourself to the Doctor and find out what is wrong. Like someone said not everything is related to wls. You know you may have something that protein and water wont solve. We will continue to pray for you and hope you feel better soon. Andrew: did you all get some of the rain we had yesterday? Hope so it just seems to make things really nicer doesn't it. Sort of like God gives everything a bath. Oh yes I am so looking forward to come spring time that a lot of us can get together for a picnic or two. Maybe I will just go all over the state having picnics with people lol. The traveling picnic lady. (Have Picnic Basket Will Travel) I bet most of you are too young to remember that western show that was on when I was younger called ,Have Gun Will Travel. Did you give in and go to the Church breakfast? Those biscuits and gravy sure sound good . Even tho I cant have them. Lol Lucky: so glad to see you back on the boards and posting. Hope your days back at work go well for you. How are you feeling? My biggest problem the first 2 weeks after surgery was just feeling tired easily. So take it easy and try to rest when you can. Craig: So glad to see you posting here too. Thanks for the prayers for my loved ones. That makes me feel better know that you are there praying for them also. Joe is feeling better. Renee is doing fine. She really gets down in the dumps sometimes and if when we talk I let her she can really get her self talked into a funk. I try to get her to see how much God has given her but she does lead a very poor quality of life. I am hoping that she gets this surgery soon. David: wow you are doing really well to drive to Gainesville and then go to 2 shows. Just one show is enough to tire most people out. Wasn't the rain wonderful. Those tomatoes and peppers are really good late in the year like this aren't they. I am going to try and get a special area made up just for tomatoes and a few things next year. I am going to use an old drive way and make a raised bed to fill with good dirt and compost. It is right in the sun most of the time so will be a great place to put it I think. Huera: I think a clothing exchange here would be great. We could as each of us drop down out of a size could just post that we have some size such and such to give away and then people could email us about the clothing. How do you think that would work? I understand your problem with going and buying a new outfit for the wedding and knowing that it will be probably the only time you will wear it. Maybe go on line to ebay. You might find a really good deal there. One of my granddaughters bought a wedding gown on there the other day for her wedding . It is beautiful and she paid ten dollars for it. It would have cost her probably at least a thousand to buy it new. She is like her grandma she said it is beautiful and it is like what I wanted but couldn't afford so why not. I think she is really smart for doing it. Well guess I will get this posted . I am going back to bed for awhile. I seem to get my best rest from about 5am to about 8am. Isn't that weird? Just want to praise and thank God for the wonderful rain he gave us yesterday. Hope everyone got some. It was needed everywhere I think. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

I love these rainy days...I love fall, and these gray clouds somehow make the days more mysterious, romantic, and cozy. I wanted to thank Craig for the prayers he sent for my brother-in-law. He is reovering from the pnuemonia, and while they aren't sure about his heart just yet, they feel that nothing appears to be critical right now so they will let him get stronger before doing any further testing. Woot Woot....we got some rain too yesturday. I just let the dogs out and I guess it had just stopped raining again. It's so nice and cool out, even tho its sorta humid but at least it isnt hot and the rain feels so nice. I had just got home from church when it started pouring down for awhile. No Jan I didnt go to the breakfast lol Last time they had biscuits and gravy I ended making some of the gravy and gained 2 friggin pounds LoL so I stayed away until service time. Im so proud of myself cuz when i got to church one of the ladies said "ooooooo andy i saved ya some sausage and biscuits" Im like oh lawd no thank ya lol I think she was kinda hurt but I explained to her I really had to lose some weight and all so hopefully she understood. I was gonna go ahead and take them and not eat them but you know its like giving a kid candy and saying dont you eat that candy lol it just dont happen lol. I think I remember my dad watching that show "Have Gun will travel" he loved old westerns. LoL @ Have Picnic Basket Will Travel...You are just to much gurl I so hope we really can all get together like that, I know we'd never regret taking the time out to meet up with each other, that would be such a highlight for us all. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday...enjoy the rain!!!! God Bless, Andrew

Got a slight one in the evening but nothing like it had been. This morning I am feeling pretty good. A little sort cause I slept so much yesterday and so hard last night. But nothing that getting up and moving my body wont help fix. I appricate all your prayers. So how did everyone weekend go?? Andrew: I am very PROUD of you that you made that choice to say no to B&G. Once you get yourself in that mind frame there isnt NOTHING you cant do!!!! CONGRATS your awsume!!!! Jan: Thank you so much for your prayers. Sound like your green house is going to be beatiful. I just told DH last night that were going to have to make room for the plants to start coming in soon. I will have to repot several since they have grown so much over the summer. Rachael: Have you heard any more about your Mother?? Sherr: Did you get your package in the mail today?? Craig: Thank you so much for the prayer. You touched my heart!!! Lana: How are you doing beatiful??? Looks like Sept is on the way out and Oct is next in line. And your 6 months is getting closer and closer every day hun?? Brenda: Just remember Baby steps. Good morning Melissa Glad to hear you are doing better today, I was here just being quiet, seems like I'm going through some mood swings and I've been gettting on people's nerves so sometimes I just get quiet so I won't bruise any feelings . Thanks for checking on me though and I have been praying of course, so take good care of yourself because you are missed when you don't post, you know the gets mad when you are able to encourage people, so hang in there. Like everyone I enjoy you so much and sometimes I feel like I don't have anything worth saying so I just read and laugh. God bless and keep you is my prayer! Barb T. in KC

Dear Jan and all my wonderful Missouri OH brothers and sisters, Wasn't yesterday wonderful? The blessed rain, I loved it. My best friend for over 55 years and her hubby came down because I had two free tickets to Silver Dollar City that ran out yesterday. SOOOO we went in the rain and still had a blast. We are both kinda crazy so nothing stops us. I've also known her DH since I was 16 so we all go WAAAAY back. Also, my daughter and grandson are away from Detroit and called last night from Davenport, Iowa on the way. I am so excited. Her boyfriend took her cell phone when she moved out, it was in his name so I do understand, however, he's been calling everyone on her phone address book telling them she's stolen stuff from him and bad mouthing her. Her friends know better but it's sad. They will unload their furniture in Union Star, where I'm from and where they're moving, and then will come on down here tomorrow or Wednesday for a couple of days so don't expect to hear from me for a few days. I am crazy about that grandson so won't be doing much but enjoying seeing him for the first time since Easter. He's 12 now and growing up so fast. My six months are passing quite well. I have actually gotten so I enjoy the gym and yesterday walking those hills and hollers of Silver Dollar City I could reap the benefits of exercising. I still got out of breath but so did everyone else. I spoke to the insurance person today and she said after my six months is up and my PCP submits for authorization they will let me know in no longer than 30 days. I told her I thought that was awesome. I really don't think that's bad at all. After waiting six months another four weeks is a piece of cake, well not cake, how about apple!!! My DH is in Branson for a regional meeting for the organization he volunteers with, SCORE - Service Corps of Retired Executives, and he's spending the night tonight so Dog, Cat and I are on our own. Luckily I'm not a person who dislikes being alone so I'll fix some soup and enjoy my cozy time tonight and then he'll be home tomorrow. Much love and prayers to all of you. Lana

Jan, That might work. Like on the OH exchange whoever is getting them would pay the shipping. I know that would be helpful to me right now. Are we allowed to do something like that on here? How would we get the word out? Glad you guys got that rain. We only got about a quarter inch but last time we got more than you so it evens out. Huera
