Saturday Whats Happening.

Saturday once again. And the month is half over. It just started and now is half over. I hope we will really get some of the rain they are saying we will get this week end. Debbie love the poems you have been putting on the board. Wonderful reading. And excellent words of wisdom. My dh has been hurting all week end. He had his last epidural in his spine on the 6th and since the 12th he has been having horrible back pains. The way he describes them is like severe muscle spasms. And the muscle relaxants seem to help them so that sort of helps me think that. Don't know if he did something to cause it or it is being caused by the epidural. He goes to see his dr. on the 20th so if he can wait we will see. Andrew: the time will go by before you really know it. And if you stay busy and try to keep from thinking about it too much it will go by even faster. Schedule things for almost every day , things that take time to do. The moving will help you do that too. Im sure you will really enjoy the new place and that will keep you busy getting things put up and moved around too. Debbie: well if your elephant ears stay ok under straw that much farther north than I am , mine should be fine too then. I am going to do the elephant ears and the cannas in the bed just south of the house. I have one north of the house too. Is yours protected by anything other than the straw? Debbie that is the way I felt about my surgery. I think that was why I was so calm . I knew to me it was a win-win situation. No matter what I would win. So no need to worry. I left that to God. Im like you about moving . When we moved over here I said this is it. don't think we will move again. And now that I have my flower beds laid out and have such good dirt for flowers I am almost totally sure we wont move again. Janet: So glad you are finally posting with us. Tell Sherr we are all praying for her and love her and it doesn't matter what others say to her about the surgery . This is her decision not theirs. Hey if you can grow roses you are doing really well. They arent the easiest things in the world to grow. Mine didn't do worth a crap this year. It was so hot and dry. Even tho I watered them every week it was still so hard on them I hope you get your surgery date soon I know you have been waiting for quite awhile. Melissa: LOL you didn't confuse me , I stay that way on my own LOL Hope you enjoyed your day of painting on your light house. Have been praying for your friend in surgery hope she came thru just fine. Has anyone else on here had Dr. Dela Torre? My sister is in the process of getting her approval and that is the Doctor that she will have. She has given up on St. Johns ever getting their certification so she is going to St. Louis and that will be her doctor. She is hoping to get it done before the end of the year since she has already paid her deductable for this year. I am anxious for her to get it done . Good Morning Everyone Well here it is 2:08am and we just got home. DH & I and the neighbors all went to Waffle House to eat. Yes I ate 2 or 3 bites of a cheese omlet but that was all. We had a good time lol and talking. Were all going to get together first thing int he morning to go garage saleing. And then Saturday night were going to have a BBQ. Have I told any of you how happy I am that I have had this surgery?? I can remember a year ago I didnt venture that far from my house cause I could walk or breath. And now it is like I have a whole new life. I can actually get out and socialize with people and I had forgotten just how much I was missing out in. Okay I am headed off to bed for a short while. lol I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. And everyone enjoys this great weather that we have been having. I love you all Melissa

Good Morning, I thought I better stop in and post today. I am doing great!!! No excuse for not posting, just haven't taken the time. I am still not getting all my liquids in, somedays I don't get all my protein in. I just seem to get busy and forget. I have had a lot of allergy problems this last month, I am highly allergic to ragweed, in fact the ENT I see told me to avoid it like the plague! Now how am I going to do that and live in Missouri??? I don't know if I'm the only one that feels like this but, I know I have lost 31 pounds, according to my scales, but sometimes I feel like when I look at myself that I haven't lost anything that I look the same. I have had to give away all my clothes in size 28 and 26 and now I'm down to size 24 which is a great accomplishment. But it just seems like I can't see it. I guess I'm gonna have to lose alot more than just 31 pounds. Oh well enough ranting about me. Melissa you are doing so great, getting out and being the social butterfly. Craig, WOW you have lost alot of weight since July, keep it up!!!! Jan you seem to be doing great to. And everyone else whether post-op or pre-op hang in there and the weight will have to come off, and the pre-op's we will be making room on the loser's bench. Talk to you all later Brenda

Wow, Brenda, I wish I had known you were giving away clothes. I need a dress to wear to my God-daughter's wedding in Nov. and 26 or 28 would be about right. I really hate to buy one since I'll be in surgery less than 3 weeks after that. Maybe I will try the clothing exchange on this site. Welcome back! Huera

Glad everyone is ok. I went by Cedar Creek this morning on my way to Gainsville. I met a woman there who bought one of the puppies. I just have one left to sell now. To all you new post ops as long as you follow docs orders the weight will come off. It comes off faster if you exercise and get all your protien in. At the early stage I know it is not easy but getting your protien and water in is crucial. I way always eating or drinking something to get my protien in .. If you can have cottage cheese it goes down easy and has lots of protien in it. Peanut butter is good too if you are allowed it . Peanut butter has high protien and goes down well. I also ate a lot of scrambled eggs with cheese.

Hello everyone...Jan sorry to hear about Joe,, I will say a prayer for him...Glad you're doing well... Mellissa, Iam so happy for you..I too am venturing out more...I went to visitation for a friend tonight who passed away and Leta and I were standing outside talking to some friends..I glanced over and her and I both were standing up talking for the longest time...before Surgery I would have to sit down and relax my back...I could have stood all night long...I got into some smaller pants again tonight....I thought what am I going to wear for the funeral tomarrow...Well let me tell you..LOL I found a nice outfit and the shirt is one that Jeff had and its 1 x YAY .. no more 3X's lol....I also got an Xlg on that floored me it was a bit snug still but it fit ok... Brenda..Iam so glad to see you posting..I guess Ive missed your posts or something because i was asking around where you were...good to see you again.....
