Good Morning one and All : I want to thank you all for the lovely comments. I was so excited when I called the hospital yesterday I literaly shouted in the ladies ear then apologized for the possiblilty of busting her eardrums. OOPS!!! Then my heart went to racing with the long anticipated joy. Jan the hospital is Barnes Jewish in St. Louis, and my Dr. is Dr. Valerie Halpin. She is working with Dr. Eagon who has more than 10 years of this surgery under his belt. Dr. Halpin has been doing this surgery herself for little over 2 1/2 years with him. She has not lost any patients and of course there has been the trouble pt's that have had complications and she did offer me to have Dr. Eagon if I choose to. But after a lengthly consult with her and my daughter with me, I am very comfortable with her. I cannot say anything bad about the hospital either, they are ranked #35 of the country for the best hospitals. Not to mentions my past experiences there.
