Hey Sheila, Your best bet is to just hang around and read the postings for a few days. You can pretty much learn whatever you need to know. After you do that for a while and if you still have questions you will know how to address them. Huera

I agree with Huera. There are a lot of post op and lots of pre ops on here too. I had surgery on the 14th of August and have had no major problems would do it again in a heartbeat. Jan

Sheila I have lost 31 pounds since my surgery. Lots of people lose more but i was what the surgeons call a light weight so my weight loss is going to be slower. Jan

Sheila, Take some time and sift through tons of profiles on here....WLS journals really helped me make my decision. Also, If you hang around and read posts...you will find a wealth of information. Happy surfing, Kelli

Hi Sheila! The best thing that helped me find out about what people did and how their surgery was is to read profiles. Mine is pretty long, but you might get some useful info from it. I live in Nixa, MO so I am not too far from you. There is a WLS support group in Springfield the second Monday of each month. Let me know if you are interested in going to it. It is for pre-op, post-op and friends and family of WLS patients. Good Luck! Lisa
