Surgery yesterday went fine

OK - I had my surgery yesterday at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. I was home at my house by 5 p.m. Everything went great. Dr. Pitt even fixed my hiatal hernia that I had had for 30 years! I had the Lap Band surgry. Today I went to work for 3 hours and out to eat with a group of friends tonite. My tummy just feels that I have done 100 situps (which I hope to God I'll never have to do!) They gave me some liquid pain meds to have at home but I haven't needed pain meds. Today I got to add some more things to my starvation pre-op diet. I have pudding, cereal, tomato juice and any kind of soup that is blended first. What a treat! I go back to the nutritionist in 2 weeks and they will add more food. Does anyone know what comes next - food wise fo rthe Lap Band? I have no restriction right now and won't have it for 6 weeks. Just glad it's all over! Hula Girl

Congrats on your surgery...out the same day huh? I am having the Lap Band too...just don't know when yet! I pray that mine goes that smoothly! I have God in my heart so I'm sure it will...just gotta get through all the hoops first! I'm very happy that everything went so well for you and I pray that you have continued success!! How much weight have you lost so far or is it still too early with it being Lap Band? Deb M.
