Saturday Whats Happening.

Well the last summer holiday is here. Somehow this always signals the end of a lot of things doesn't it. Even if we have some hot weather after this weekend . The weather forecast sure doesn't show any for the next week anyway tho. This weather has been as about perfect as it can get. The only thing that might make if better is if it rained about every 2 days or so. Lol I worried so much with getting the pool in and up right and now I still haven't been in it. The water is still too cold. Lol. Oh well I am walking further and further each morning. This low humidity is making my knees and hips not hurt quite as much. I am getting half a block in now. Hopefully by the end of next week I will be getting a whole block in. Craig : Oh so sorry you are in pain and yes we will all pray for you. If you do have to have the gall bladder surgery don't fret . Dr. H. will take good care of you and will do it lap. Like he did your wls. God will be watching over you. We love you . I just hate that you are having this trouble and the pain. Debbie sounds like you had a wild few days. Lol Im glad that you had fun at the concert. That is wonderful that you are selling your puppies. What kind of puppies do you have? I forgot . Isn't it amazing how God blesses us sometimes when we least expect it? Pamela: Hope your surgery went ok yesterday. The baby plans will be fun , trying and getting lol. Melissa: your life doesn't sound boring just normal .lol. Im glad your pool is warm enough to swim in cause mine sure isn't lol I take it that you finally got the leak fixed huh I told Joe I need to throw a heater into mine. Im glad that you will get some resolve to your hernia problem on the 6th. Hopefully that will go great and get that repaired soon. Oh I have heard that Diamond Rio song and yes it is a very pretty pretty song. Love it. Brenda: let me know if you get an answer about the carbs. Dr. Hornbostel didn't tell me anything about only 20 grams of carbs when I was in there. But a lot of the stuff we are allowed to eat now has carbs in it too. Which Im not getting any of it in most days anyway. Im lucky if I get 3 protein shakes in a day. I just cant find the room to do it. If I don't get up early and get in a protein shake before I go for a walk I have a hard time getting even two in a day. Joe said boy it feels really weird to eat by my self all the time. I told him one of these days I will be able to eat something again. Lol Lana : Have a great and safe trip. Will be praying for your safe return on the 11th. Barbara: so glad you are feeling well and doing so good. I have been working in the yard and pulling weeds .lol sounds exciting doesn't it? Well they have gotten a little out of hand since it was so hot and then my surgery and all. Glad you will be going back to Church this Sunday I know that will make you feel even better. Andrew: Well there you are. I guess I can start looking for someone else now. Lol Glad your FILs test all came out good. And there was nothing serious going on. At least you know there are no problems there now. Take it easy and see you later. Deanna: how great to finally hear from you. That is wonderful that you are being so busy. And glad to hear that you are keeping up with your exercises. Wow 138 pounds that is a lot of weight you have lost, especially in only 5 months. How far are you from goal now? Keep in touch with us more often girl. Hope your computer is fixed good now and you have no more problems with it. Looks like today will be another great day according to the weather man. It is 64 right now. don't know exactly what I am going to do today I need to get the curtains up in the bedroom of the guest house and also the new shower curtain up in the bathroom over there. My husband said he needs to paint the ceiling in the bath before I put the shower curtain up but I guess I will have to start it to get him moving. Lol He is a sweetheart but sometimes I have to nudge in the right direction. Lol. I am wide awake right now so I think I will go ahead and drink my protein shake now to get a head start. I have golden retrievers Jan...well I did!...lol Yes these last few days have been wild to say the least.....at least I'm out of my funk (depressed). I don't have time...lol The concert was fun. I just don't remember the teenie bopper girls screaming soo loud! That was the only bad thing....on a couple of the bands the kids went wild for them when I felt that their attention should of been on the Lord! Maybe I'm just old fashion...lol I do feel that it's better for them to scream and holler for Christian Bands then the bands I went to see as a teenager/young adult and even more some of the other bands that are our there right now! Lord Help Us! The funny thing was that with these bands the kids loved, they were soooo loud, I couldn't understand them...well I couldn't even hear the words over the music and the screaming! To give you an idea on how loud they were, they made my lungs vibrate and the bottoms of my jeans vibrate as well! I thought I was the only one until we got back on the bus and Francie, my friend and our driver had the same problem! I told her that maybe we're just too old!.....NOT!...lol The kids had a good laugh when I told them that I would just hit my inhaler and be back tomorrow (today). Gotta get ready for the concert! lol......that still sounds sooo funny! Love & Prayers, Deb

Good Morning Everyone Craig I am so sorry you are hurting so bad. Of course you are in our prayers. Please don't let the devil put that fear in you. You even said Jesus is there with you. Look at what all he went through just for us. You tell Jesus to help you get that old devil away from you and give you the strength and courage you need to get through this. He is there for you and his angels are sounding you watching over you. Debbie sounds like you had a really good time. I love that kind of music, I listen to Christian rock a lot. Of course I help with a teen youth bible study group. My youngest DD just turned 16 on the 31st of last month. She wanted to go bowling for her birthday and they just opened a new bowling ally not far from here so I took her and her sister and they had a blast. Good Morning Everyone: Wow havent these last few days been great??? I love finally haveing the air conditioning off and all the windows open. It makes me feel like I am not so closed up and it air out my house. Yes, I like htis weather temp wise. BUT I wi**** would warm up for a few day so it can warm up my pool. I got into it again yesterday and about froze to death. The temp in the pool was around 68 degrees. Too cold to just jump right in I had to work my way down into it. But anyway I did get in and did my exercises for over an hour and then I was right back out. Brrrrrrrrrr cold!!!!! DH & his friend are going to finish the neighbors house today. I am going to do laundry, make out bills, go pay, and go to the store while DH is gone. Try and hit a few more garage sales also. Well time for me to get up and motivated. Jan: I agree I wish I had a heater for my pool. I am freezeing in mine. I was thinking of adding ho****er from my water heater a couple of time to see if that would help. lol Craig: Your in my thougths and prayers buddy!!!!! Sherr: Thanks for the tid bit on the beans. MEL MEL & Crew: Happy Saturday....It's 71 degrees here right now and the puppies think I am trying to freeze them out..... They just had puppie hair dos and cut really short...as I type this, they are both under a vellux blanket here on the sofa! Wimpy French Poodles! LOL They are old, they will be (8) on Sept. 26th....they have been thru a lot with me....and many days are my only conversations....(((yes, I realize they can't talk back, but they listen really well!))) I love this weather, last night I slept on a sheet, covered with my deep purple vellux (((not the puppy one LOL)))) and it was divine...just enough, ya know. Well, the count down has begun...but I won't really start readying myself until I get the go-ahead after the second sleep test on the 10th. Wild to think I might be a loser this time next month!!! Funniest thing, I typed that sentence and looked at it, and it said, "lover" LOL....I freaked out and corrected it, and then had a big laugh!!! Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! Hello everyone!! Jan I'm so happy to see that your surgery went well!! I've had PC problems for the past 3 weeks but, my PC guy finally got rid of the nasty virus. I've been MIA for the past 3 weeks. I'm just now reading past posts....and trying to play catch up. I regret to report that the Friday before last months Springfield support group meeting I was served via a certified letter that I can no longer attend the meetings. I think it all stems from the fact that I chose not to attend a support group meeting for post ops that were 1 year or more out. I have a 45 minute drive and it was just too much to drive it 2 times a month. There was also the fact that my husband was not welcome at the meetings...or anyone that wasn't post-op. I respected that rule and I did attend for the 1st 3 or 4 meetings...I even brought a friend to one of the meetings. All of this just digusts me and, I wonder now about the direction of the group in general. I want to make this known right here and now. However, I did enjoy meeting people from the MO board and, have to admit was part of the reason I attended. I very rarely felt comfortable enough to speak....there was a lot things going on with the group that I didn't understand or comprehend. **ROB YOU ARE AWESOME AND I THINK YOU BRING SO MUCH TO THE MEETINGS!!! I THINK YOU KNOW THAT MYSELF, TAMI AND GLENNA ALL THINK YOU ARE GREAT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY PEOPLE. Kelli, you don't know me yet but I'm pre-op & waiting for a surgery date. My problem is going to be finding a support group meeting that I can attend. I've been reading a little about dissension in the Springfield support group and wondering if I should even bother. Do you know of any other groups meeting in SW MO or NW AR. I wouldn't be able to make it every month but will try to make it when I can. Also my husband will want to go as he wouldn't want me driving that far after dark. Besides, he's is my biggest supporter & my best friend. Huera

Huera, Please don't be discouraged about the NEW BEGINNINGS SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS IN SPRINGFIELD LOCATED INSIDE THE ST. JOHNS SURGERY CENTER. Everyone that was issued certified letters not to attend were 2 years post op or more. You are safe and Rob that speaks at the meetings is great and, please go to get all the information that you can. Tamera B. is also in the planning stages of a new support group in the Spfld area and I think that more details will be posted to this board later on. I know that it will be on the last Friday of each month....at a restraunt perhaps and not intertwined with any surgeons or their staff. So, keep watching for more details or contact Tami.
