Hi, Debi:
Now I am no expert and don't claim to be. However, maybe you could talk the neurologist who told you that you were losing weight too quickly and ask him if he believes if you have the band "loosened" that it might help. If he thinks so, then talk to your surgeon. It might be worth having the band "loosened" for a month or so to see if it helps your light headedness. If I'm not mistaken, loosening the band would probably slow down your weight loss. What does your PCP have to say about all of this?
I hope you find a solution.
Take care,
Debbie D.
hey Debbie D. just let you know my surgeon thinks not drinks enough water and so am trying drink more water and the lightheadness is a little better... Hopefully this will help... He thanks i was getting dehydrated... We will see.. if this does not work will try loosing the band... I do not want to do this but if will help... I am game...

Hi Debi, I realize I am reading this a long time after your posting, but I had the same issue. I've had the light headedness for about a year now. I am almost 2 years post-op. My primary care doctor told me to increse the salf in my diet to help get my blood pressure up more, since I faint when it drops. Not sure if yours has recommended this or not, you might ask?
Good luck, it took the docs 1 entire year to figure this was why I was light headed! So frustrating! Your body will adjust within time though. Hopefully soon!
