Sorry I have been gone so long
Some of you dont know me . It looks like most of you . Sorry i havent been around in a long time pixi e-mailed me and was wondering where i have gone . I had surgery in july of 2004 .It was the best thing i have ever did for me . I have had 0 complications and sucess w/ this although i struggle now w/ eating anything it is more mental and emotinal eating . If i could do this all over i would have this surgery in a heart beat . I would do lots of things diffrent . I would make myself excersice something i have never did . I would teach myself that eating healthy is something i have to do for life . not just because my pouch said no in the begining . And i would also like to have paid attention to eating because i am hungry and not stressed , bored etc. I still struggle w/ this one also drinking and eating at the same time i could always do this it is a big no no I have tried it both ways i stay full alot longer when i dont drink . All in all i am happy w/ me i would like to still hit 145 and get my plastics but wont do it till i hit 145 .. I do plan to get to curves when my 6 kiddo**** school in the next few days . W/ just the 1 kiddo home soon i will have more free time . Hope all is well w/ all of you and hoping everyone gets the help they are looking for . I will be glad to help anyone in anyway i can . e-mail me anytime .. God bless Sherri
Hi honey!!!
So glad to see you back in here... we are all in this together... thick or thin -- especially when the going gets tough as that is what support is about.
Don't fret over things that are difficult for you. Just take problems one at a time and address them. Figure out what it is that triggers you and work on resolving those issues ... one day at a time.
((HUGS))
Again... so so glad to see you again!

Hey Sherri I don't know you but I must say you are beautiful! And 6 kids! WOW!! I have more than enuogh to deal with at 2 kids!!
We all have those issues we deal with post-op and the emotional stuff is far more than most of us expected. I know that's true for me anyway. That's why support is soooooo important.
Nice to meet you and maybe we'll both be on here more! I've not been on much at all. I tended to hang out on other parts of OH more but I think I'll be here more now after having been absent from the OH site altogether for a few months now.

You're looking great. I think all of us have things we would do differently. But I'm happy with 174 lbs. gone. I would like to lose 30-50 more. I had come to a standstill around Jan. but then had hernia surgery in March and that started me going down again. I lost around 30 lbs since March. One thing I've been doing is eating a lot more fruits and vegetables. That really helps me not eat chips and empty calories that I can eat but don't need to. If I get hungry I just tell myself to eat an orange. That really stops my cravings. It also helps with the constipation which had been really difficult.
My two-year anniversary will be Sept. 27. I never imagined I'd be this far along in two years. I hoped, but didn't really imagine it would happen.
Oh, and I go to Curves. I really like it because it allows me to get in and out in 30 minutes and its on my way to or from home. I think it helps, maybe not so much with the weight loss but with the energy level and stamina.
I'll have to get someone to take a new pic of me and get it up. This one is kind of old.
Later.
Teresa
