unbelievable
I can not believe the hoops you have to jumb thru for Insurance. After being told I sent in too much information ( too much for the review doc to read) I was told to send in 1 simple paragraph from pcp stating I had at least 6 months supervised diet. in the last 3 years. I did that now am told by appeal doc (different then first review doc ) that the paragraph was too generic. I guess they are trying to get me to give up but they don't know me . I always have to have the last word. And I will be banded !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.
That's EXACTLY what your insurance is hoping you'll do. If you want something bad enough, you'll jump through the hoops. If you don't jump, then it must not be a priority. They are preying upon people's frustration, hoping that you'll nix the idea and not cost them money. DON'T let them be in control!

Get names of each person who tells you something. If they say to write a small paragraph, say, "What is your name, department and direct phone so if I have any problems with this I can tell them tocall you." I found when I did that, they got more serious about what they told me. Until then I was getting the run around. One would tell me one thing, another a totally different thing and they would actually say, "Whoever told you the other thing must not have known what they were talking about." I might have their first name, but I didn't have all the info or they would say, "We don't have anyone by that name." So, I started asking them questions and finally got to the bottom of some stuff. If you're not already doing that, try it and see if it helps!
They must take a course in how to give the client the run around. However, sometimes I thought they are just giving me an answer off the top of their head to get rid of me and they really don't know the right answer. But, if its the answer I want to hear then I'd just say Great, thanks alot. Then, I'd find out they were wrong!
