Good Morning all my OH friends....

I am up and that's saying a lot. Rick just got home from taking our son, Marty, to the airport in KC for a 7:40 a.m. flight back to California. I really enjoyed having him here to be with us, but hated to see him leave at 3:00 a.m. this morning. Of course, the next time he sees me I should be a lot lighter! I've had no regrets yet. Haven't had much pain either. Have already had my first dumping syndrome and have that overwith right up front. Don't want to do that again. I made the mistake of mixing all my medicines together and trying to take them all at once--NOT GOOD! Ate too fast and too much--major dumping! Ended up with dry and dusty heaves. Also learned that I can't lay too flat right now or I get sick at my stomach. I am feeling so good. The best thing of all is a shower--have had 2 now and they are wonderful. I hope Jan is doing well today. I'm going to try--and you notice I said try--to go see her tomorrow evening. I'm not sure I'll be able to get there but will try. Thank all of you so very much for the many prayers you sent to God on my behalf. I don't believe I would have come through this as well as I did if it hadn't been for your prayers. Praise God for all he has done for me. The lap is much better than the open! I'm kind of tired or maybe just weak, anyway I'll say good-bye for now and talk to you later. Linda, So glad you're feeling better. Medicines is one of my minor worries when I have surgery. It seems like I take so many and can't imagine how to get them all down. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Have been praying for Jan all morning. Hugs and love Lana

Hey Linda glad to see you posting....Glad you had a good time visiting your son...Yeah I cant lay down flat just yet either....Iam eating a little better but some things bother me so I have to weed out the those things and stick to the sootheing things to eat....God Bless...........your buddy Craig Lee

Linda So glad to see you posting again on the boards. I am sorry to hear that your son had to leave you so soon. But it sure was nice for him to come out for awhile. I am so happy to hear that your doing pretty good outside of the dumping thing. But I bet your glad you got that out of the way and no you dont have to worry about it anymore. lol Take care of yourself and tkae it easy. Love ya Melissa

Hi There Linda Glad to see you are doing well, sorry to hear about the dumping though Be careful, I'm being a big chicken and trying not to do the dumping thing, but at least you know what happened and what caused it. Linda I'm so glad you got to spend some good time with your son. I know that was a very special time for you. I hope you had a wonderful anniversary also. I'm so sorry I didn't get up there to see you, but you sounded so good on the phone I just had to thank God when we hung up.
