2 year anniversary

Wow I can not believe it has been two years. 2 years under my belt and a whole lot less. I have lost 220 and I am no longer on Oxygen or in a wheel chair. I walk,ride a bike,do house work, and have started back to school. I have been given a second chance and I am taking it. I have got to thank God for the second chance. He is the one that put all the peices together. He could have just said poof you are healed but for some reason he used this path. I have met so many wonderful people and learned so much. Dr. Fabito at the New Start program did my surgery. on 8-4-04 I had RNY and a hysterectomy, and a hernia repair and an appendectomy. Dr. Fabito told my husband when he talked to him right after the surgery that I would have probably lived a couple more days. I guess that was not in Gods plan. Here I am. I just wanted to share some good news and let you all know I read your input and really enjoy it . You have helped me so much. I also want to toot the horn of my support group New Beginnings in Springfield Mo.. Claudette was the leader when I first had surgery and I have to credit her and the team for giving me the info and the support that I needed to survive this new life. You can read about it but if you talk to some one that has been through it makes more since to me. Thank you guys so much.I really could not have come this far with out you. Jean thanks for posting hope to meet you soon at one of the meetings in Springfield. I wont be at the one next monday becasue that is my surgery date but will be there in Sept unless something happens. Good to have you here with your 2 years post op you can give us some pointers. Thanks again Jan
