Help?
I need a little help guys! I have this little problem called "depression". I'm sure you have heard about it or had to deal with it sometime in your lives! I have had it for years. God and I keep it pretty much under control but once in a while it likes to get out and run around...(you know how the devil and his little demons like to play with something until they destroy it!)
I'm having a pretty rough time here and have been for a few days now! I ask that you all hold me up in your prayers! Sometimes, the closer we get with God, the harder the battles get! The devil wants control so bad he will do anything to try and get it! I know that God has this under His control but until I get a little more sturdy, I sure could use the prayers!
Thank you in advance....staying in His presence, Deb

I'm sure you've gone to the doctor in regard to this but if you haven't you should mention it to your primary care provider. I, too, am a Christian but sometimes depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Sometimes we need additional help in form of medication to combat it. There are some medications that are for low-key depression. The one I take is called Wellbutrin. I tried coming off of it and started feeling the general malaise. I don't think medication is always the answer but it is better than feeling depressed.
I've also been reading Dr. George Malkamus' book The Hallelujah Diet. this is the biblically-based Daniel diet, eating fruits, vegetables and grains. I had surgery 2 years ago so I don't do a total fruit and veggie diet but I have added lots more fruit and veggies into what I eat (I especially like salad with either mandarin oranges or strawberries and almonds) and it does make me feel better. More alert. Less blah. More energy. Pre-surgery I don't know if I could have done a full fruit and veggie diet either but you might try a modified version or even try doing all fruits for a day to get you going on it. The fruits and vegetables have the minerals and vitamins that we need to live. When we put too much of what we don't need in our system it really messes us up.
Good luck and I'll be praying for you.
