I cant believe that it is Thursday already. Yikes only four more days. Lol really I am sitting on dead ready. I am anxious to get the surgery over with so I can get started losing and feeling better. My knees wont take much more I don't think. I had to stop my arthritis meds Monday and I am now depending more on my pain pills. I don't like taking them that much but not a lot I can do about that now. Hopefully as I lose weight they will hurt less and less. I know it wont get rid of it but if it makes it to where it allows me to walk without thinking my knees are going to tear in to will be great. Marcie: Joe is staying at the Bunkhouse because there were no rooms anywhere in Sedalia because of the fair. We made it to there in 15 minutes the other day from the hospital so that isn't too bad. Im glad that you finally got your pets all lined up so you wont have to worry about them while you are gone. We are depending on a neighbor to feed and water our one dog for us while I am in the hospital. We have two big water dishes out for him but it gets so hot in the day time that we empty them at least 2 times a day for him. Melissa: Don't your own bed feel good when you have been away from home for a while? I know mine is going to feel so good when I get back home. Did you have a problem sleeping flat in your bed right after surgery? Your niece and nephews pictures are adorable. I love them. How many N&N do you have? I know you have more than these 3 right? I have 13 of them , of course mine are all grown and married and have kids of their own now. Boy does that make you feel old. Thanks for praying for me Melissa. I will be there Monday morning with bells on. Sky: How are you doing this morning? Did you say trap setting or trap shooting contest.? What kind of event was it? You need to watch it after surgery we will get dehydrated easier than most people because we aren't able to take in really enough water to stay well hydrated. I said that is the only really bad thing that worries me . I am such a water drinker now. Lol yeah I am glad we don't have to drink that gallon of stuff anymore either. Im glad he changed it because I wouldn't have gotten the gallon of stuff down I know. The magnesium citrate doesn't taste that bad and especially if it is real cold. I hope I get to see you when I have my surgery. Will be looking forward to it. I think I am looking forward to being able to walk so much. I hope that my knees will ease up so I can. Tressia: I know you are anxious for the hospital there to get their certification. I don't think it took nearly that long for the hospital in Sedalia to get their certification after they had their walk thru. I don't remember exactly tho. Just know that when it happened was on the day that Craig went in for his consult with Dr. Hornbostel . Wow that seems like such a short time ago . Keep on with what you are doing and hopefully it will be soon when you get surgery Colette: this heat is so hard on everyone, take it easy and stay inside. I have had to let my flowers go some since I have been sick and it has been so hot. I get out at daybreak and do some but even then is extremely hot. I wonder how much longer this is going to last. I am watering things really deep this week to hopefully keep them half way healthy till I get out of hospital. And even if I cant do it ,Joe can. I remember those state inspections ,when I worked as a nurse. They just about zapped you . Im glad that you can get Mel to stay inside while you are at work. He sure doesn't need to be outside in this heat. Glad he is a little better . Barbara: You have done so well thus far with your surgery. We will be here to cheer you on further. God will lead you thru it sweet lady. I had such a feeling of peace around you the other day. It was as if it radiated from you. Do take care of yourself and do as the orders say. Sip and walk sip and walk. Brenda : good luck on your pre-ops. They make it so pleasant that it really is a breeze. The hardest part will be the drive up and back. Andrew: how was your trip yesterday? Craig: thanks buddy don't know what I would do without you. Im so proud of you and all you are already accomplishing. I know that God has big plans for you . Tamara: congratulations on your surgery date. Holly: how are you doing on the liquid diet you started yesterday. Not long now is it.? I thought this week would probably just drag by but it isn't it is flying. I cant believe that in a few days I will be on my way to recovery. Shine up my spot on the losers bench and can I have a purple pillow to sit on? God bless each and everyone of you. You don't know how much you all mean to me. I want you to know how much I love and care for you. It really is like family. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Thursday Morning!!!! Okay, Dont fall over from fainting. Yes, it really is me at 6:30am. I know it isnt like me to be up this early. But I have down to my parents house and they are early risers. So it has worn on me. Plus I am getting back into the exercise program and protein thing. So my eyes popped open at 6:14 this morning. I got out of bed and DH asked me "Are you staying up at this time" lol Yes, dear I am right now my back isnt hurting so I am getting up beofre it does. I slept on the guest bed at my parents house and it is like a marshmellow. Very soft and comfy but I guess I am use to a hard bed. And I must of slipped a disk in my lower back. So needless to say my lower back has been giving me fits if I lay to long or longer then what my body thing I need to be laying. Jan: Sweetie your day is getting closer and closer. Hello ya'll.... Wow, what a day we had yesturday. It was so hot in Sedalia like it was in all of Missouri. We passed pass by a few bank signs reading 108 for a the temp outside, the official temp for Sedalia was 105, thats just to friggin hot. We ended up driving ourselves as Medicade messed up the ride service, darn them. But it was a good trip. Got in 30mins before my appt time as they asked so I could fill out all the paper work and as it turned out I already had done it all online lol silly girls lol. Got back to see Dr. H and it went real well. He explained in more detail of whats gonna happen before, during and after surgery, then 1 week and 1 month and 3 months and so on and what will have to happen the rest of my life and so on. It was a great meeting. Getting to talk to him one on one was fantastic. That just reassured me how much of a awesome Doctor he is. He explained the weight limit that the hospital has, Im 481, which is 4lbs down from 2 weeks ago, the hospital has the limit of 450 but if I can at least get down to 470 there shouldnt be a problem, but if i go back over 500 then it will have to be postponed, pppffftttt that wont happen lol. He answered all the questions i had wrote down and then some. The only downside to the appt was that when I asked him the dates of his next surgeries, he said he's booked until the 1st part of november what a bummer, oh well tho, I'll just be playing the waiting game like ya'll on here until the time comes, plus it'll give me some time to lose a lil bit of weight so im sure to be ready and have nothing stand in my way of getting the surgery. It was amazing he told me that he has patients coming from 8 different states, wowzers. Then he said to me that it's better to wait for a Doctor that does 4 or 5 of these surgeries a week then to find a quicker Doctor that only does a couple a month.....soooooooooo true there, im sooooooo happy to be going to Dr. H, he is for sure the Doctor that the Lord has sent me too. My wife and I stopped by to see Barbara after my appt and she had already gone home....thats ggggggggrrreeeaaaattt but sure would of loved to meet her. Well hopefully my path will cross with some of ya's as I continue my journey. You all just dont know how much your support and friendship means to me, thank you so much!!! Well I hope ya'll are staying out of the heat as much as possible. I gotta get some things done inside here, then kinda take it easy, it was such a long drive im still wore out from it. Have a great day. Thanks again ya'll!!! God BLess ya's Andrew

Hello everyone This has been a good day that the Lord has given us. Nice thunderstorms with some rain here and there. And it is keeping the temps down some, so that is great too. I was so glad to hear Linda is doing good and didn't have to have her WLS open. I know that was worrying her some. Dr. H is a true Godsend. Jan I guess this means you are next huh? I am so excited for you, I know how you feel. On one hand it can't come soon enough and on the other time is going so fast. Melissa such cuties you are truly blessed. And I bet Aunt Melissa is going to spoil them rotten. LOL Barbara T it was so great to get to meet you. You are one awesome lady. I'm so happy you are doing well. Keep on keeping on and you will do great things. Craig you are one awesome man. I did the chocolate malt-o-meal and it didn't hurt me any. I really don't think you can hold enough to hurt you. I use the artificial sugar on it and it tasted pretty good. Jan it was a trap setting contest. The NTA stands for the National Trappers Association. They are not the traps like you see on cartoons with the teeth in them and such. They are steel food hold traps. I know a lot of people don't agree with trapping but there is a call for it and a reason behind it, but I won't go into a big long spew here about it. Anyway if I left anyone out I am sorry. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God keep each and every one of you in his loving embrace. And my he Bless Each and Every One of You. Sky

Oh, Sky, I love you but I wish you wouldn't trap with foot hold traps. They aren't humane. Sorry, but that's my 2 cents worth. I'm a die hard animal lover. But, we can still be friends and I promise to love you no matter what we disagree on. Lana

Lana I love you too, but you are wrong about the traps. They are not inhumane. They were even used to help catch otter to reintroduce them to MO. Please before you judge me to harshly check my page out. http://www.angelfire.com/mo2/trappers/3.html And there is not a trap that I use that I have not gotten myself caught in. I also go to schools and give talks and show the kids the traps do not hurt just restrain. I put my hand in a trap and set it off to show the kids this fact. I am also an animal lover but I understand a lot about nature and how man has gotten ride of most of the predators that used to take care of population control and I will stop there as this is not the place for this debate. Take care and God Bless You. Sky
