Good morning everyone. Isn't it a wonderful day that the Lord has made for us? Praise his name. I decided yesterday afternoon to call Dena and ask her about the infection and she said that Dr. Hornbostel said that as long as I didn't have fever he would do the surgery no problem. So Im a go on Monday. Whoo hoo. Now Im working my self to the bone to get everything done. Bought a bunch of meats yesterday for hubby and wrapped them all separate. Looks strange to do that. Lol Everyone remember to pray for Linda on Thursday . She has her surgery on that day. And hers is going to have to be and open procedure due to lots of abdominal surgeries before. I am doing protein drinks times 3 plus a small dinner at supper then Sun will be clear liquid only with the magnesium citrate about 2 pm. We should be at the motel by then so as soon as I get there. I told Joe that I would take a good air freshener We are having to stay at the Bunkhouse at Lincoln Sunday night and then Joe will drive back to and forth to the hospital for the days I am in the hospital. It isn't very far like about a 15 or 20 minute drive. Rachael: Wow with that many b-12 shots you should start feeling something soon. That is a lot of them. You must really be low .I hope that is what is wrong and will ease all your pains. Sky: wow it is great to have you back again. You sound like you have been so busy. I bet you couldn't have done all of that before could you? I am with you on spoiled bratty kids. Even tho I know it actually isn't their fault but the parents . Seems there are more and more of them now days too. I cant for the life of me figure out why parents think they are doing their child any good by allowing them to be that way. The world wont treat them like that and then what will the child do. Im sort of like Dr. Phil on this, that it is actually a form of child abuse to raise a spoiled brat. Well enough of my soap box. Lol I have told so many young parents that you know that the one job a parent has and that is to teach. And that doesn't mean just how to walk and talk. That is how to act, morals and values as well. Glad you are back with us and I really miss you when you are gone. You stay cool. Have you weighted lately ? How are you doing on your eating? Remember to drink all your water you need. Lana: I am excited for you that your daughter is getting to move so much closer to you. And that your grandson will be close enough for you to spoil. Lol That is really a good deal that the people are leaving so much stuff for her. Does her boyfriend not know that she is leaving? I will pray that she can get away and he wont want to follow her but let her go willingly . Panera Bread should be just fine. If they wont mind . I don't know how many would want to come but who ever wants will be a great . Can maybe get to know each other a little better. Maybe so many of us will have had surgery by spring time that we can plan on a picnic or something. When it is cooler too. Melissa: wow you sound like you have a great time with your family. I know the babies love having their Aunt Meme there with them. You poor mother that procedure sounds like it was painful but I am glad to know that she able to breath better now. That has to be a big relief to her as well. You will have to post your pictures sometime for all to see. Webshots is a good place to put them and then you can put the link on your profile .the link will show up under your name on messages then too. Just glad you are home . Miss you when you are gone. Andrew: So glad you are feeling better. Hope your trip to Dr. Hornbostel goes well. He will answer any questions you might have about before or after the surgery. He is a good guy. I know you wont get a date today but you are one step closer to getting that date. Should know something in about a week and no more than 2 weeks. Then comes the really hard part of waiting. Sherr: congratulations on getting insurance approval. That is a big step and so once you have all your appointments done you will be good to go. I am anxious for you to get that step out of the way for you. We will be here to cheer you on every step of the way. So you go girl. Craig: you are doing so great. We are so proud of you. That is great about the walking and how much you can do. Did Dr.Hornbostel have any idea about when you could maybe see someone about getting the trach out? That will be so great when you can do that. Love you buddy and thanks for being my angel. Linda: know that we will all be praying for you tomorrow and that God is with you. We will be waiting for reports on you. And I will probably be calling you myself later in the day. Well it is now 5 days left for me. That is about all I can think about right now. It seems that everything is revolving around the 14th like I am having surgery to release the new child in me. Lol or like giving birth. I guess in a way it is our new birth. That will make three for me the day I was actually born, the day I accepted Christ as my Savior and the day I became all that God intended for me to be. I know that there are going to be lots of changes in lots of ways , not only in my eating and size but in my mental thoughts and the way I feel about myself. We have quite a journey ahead of us im sure. Everyone have a great day and remember that God loves you and so do I. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Why is he staying at the Bunkhouse? That's a pain, it's quite a long drive back and forth. Is there no hotel rooms in Sedalia because of the fair? If we were going to be home and had a guest room he could stay here, I'm like 5 blocks from the hospital. Did he try the Bothwell hotel? It's right there downtown, and a big beautiful historic hotel. The rooms are cheaper than most of the other hotels around too. Well, I finally have the animals all figured out what I'm doing with them for the trip. A friend is keeping my whippet and havanese, and my standard poodle and golden retriever will stay home and I have a pet sitter coming to take care of those dogs, and my birds, cats and rabbit too. So I guess we are almost ready to go. I've been calling customers, everyone in my cards that look like just maybe their dog might need groomed soon so I can do them this week and have more money for the trip, plus not feel bad when they all call the week I'm going to be gone. I have my week booked almost solid, so that's good, especially by tuesday, I still have several more days this week to book. I may not get away in time to go play golf like I had been on Wednesdays, but we will see.

Good morning everyone I am doing great now that I am home and have my house back to myself. All in all I had a good time, but I did get overheated at one point. I was sitting outside for the trap-setting contest (I came in third in the women's division, not bad but I could have done better but I was getting very dehydrated.) I started to feel dizzy and sick and then they said the women's division was next. So I stayed and competed then went back into the air-conditioned building and drank as much water as I could hold. But it was great seeing friends from all over the U.S. and a few from other countries even. My weigh day is on Thursdays and I wasn't home last Thursday so I didn't get to weigh. I promised my DH that I would only weigh once a week and he promised he wouldn't throw the scales out side and stomp them into little pieces. LOL I was weighing myself everyday sometimes twice a day and he said that was way to much and I was getting obsessive and he was right. Anyway I don't think I have lost much in the last two weeks but I will find out tomorrow. I am so happy for you all having your surgery's so soon. You are all in my prayers and it was great going in to meet Barbara. Linda and I went to see her after our meeting last night. She sure looked and sounded like she was doing great. I was very happy for her. And Linda seemed a little nervous but more excited than anything. It was great seeing you again Linda and you will do great I am sure. You are in the hands of a very good Dr. and of course you have God and all his angels on your side. Same for you Jan on your big day. You all are so lucky you don't have to drink that whole gallon of yucky stuff. LOL And Craig I am so glad you are doing better. It was really great meeting you. The walking gets a lot easier and the next thing you know you will think wow I really walked that far at once? LOL And for those of you that just got your approval. Congratulations. I am so happy for you all. This surgery has been one of the best things that has every happened to me. It has really made a big difference on how I feel. I feel so much better than I have in years and I am off most all of my meds. I can hardly wait till it cools off some so I can add some more to my walk. I overslept some this morning but still took my walk but it sure was getting hot before I got home. And Colette I missed you at the meeting last night. Hope everything is ok with you and your DH. You and him have been in my prayers also. Really all of you on this board have been and will continue to be in my prayers. You are all such a great bunch of people. May God Keep and Bless Each and Every One of You. Sky

Good Early Afternoon: Jan I am happy and you sound so excited... I'll keep praying for you. I finally heard from the hospital about their inspection, although I didn't wait for them to contact me, I called them. The receptionest informed me that they wouldn't find out for sure till 30 days after their inspection which was Aug. 1, then it would take about 90 days from the date of the inspection to have their certificate in hand and they couldn't schedule any surgeries till they had the certificate. So it looks like I am not going to be able to celebrate a new birth till around the end of the holidays. OH WELL I SUPPOSE THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING, And I just have to keep waiting and trying to loose more weight so my liver can be smaller for the Doc. to handle too. God Bless you Jan. Tressia
