Surgery in 2 Days!!!!!
Hi Everyone! I've only posted on here one time, I think, but I wanted to say that my date of surgery is August 10 at 7:30 a.m.! I am SO excited! I have to admit that I had some reservations and some scared thoughts, which I'm sure is normal until this past weekend! I attended the Women of Faith Conference in St. Louis, and I now know that God is in control, and everything will be fine! This was my first conference and could the timing be any better?? Everything happens for a reason, and that's why God put the conference in my life at that time!
As I said, I don't really post....I'm just a lurker, I guess you'd say, but you all have helped me more than you, as I'm sure you have done for a LOT of other people! I know that everyone on here will be pulling for me, and I appreciate that in advance!
I have some last minute questions though....how long before you can resume normal activity? Like, I babysit my granddaughter who just turned 1 year old (my inspiration) and she needs to be picked up quite often....will there be restrictions there? I'm just wondering what the limits are after surgery! If anyone could help me on that, I would truly appreciate it!
I'm sorry this is so long! Thank you "regulars" for taking SO much time out of your daily lives to help people on this board....you are amazing! God Bless You All and have a GREAT day!!!
Karla first off congradulation on the surgery date. good luck will be praying for you. on the lifting you arent suppose to lift anything over 10 pounds for a good two weeks. but your doctor may want it to be longer for reasons we dont know. So be sure and ask your surgeon. Good luck and do all that you are told to do. Jan
Well, G/F...you HAVE to come back once you are strong enough...and be a "LOSER" and give us all your thoughts on your journey...
Come back and just tell us how you feel...
Okay?
I am more reserved with my religious stance, as that is my personal preference, and my own personal choice...but I will tell you that HE WALKS WITH YOU...through everything...
I always thought that was beautiful, and so meaningful and ABSOLUTELY True.
We love you! Hurry back.
