congrats to me!!!

First off, this is the first time I've posted a message - hope I'm doing it right! I got approval from my insurance today for the RNY surgery. I am so excited I'm about to burst and I have no one to share this excitement with - I can't even reach a real person at the doctor's office to schedule an appt with the surgeon. Still, I'm excited and a little nervous - I do like food but I would rather be healthy!

well congradulations Karen. way to go girl;.....it is normal to be nervous and excited. . People ask me if im going to miss all the good food and i said shucks no. Im ate just about everything there is to eat in my 65 years so now i need to get healthy. LOL Jan

Jan, thanks for the great words of encouragement. I know what you're saying - I'll get a glimpse of myself stuffing my face and it isn't a pretty sight and at that moment I'll think how wonderful it will be to NOT constantly be eating but instead be healthy! I'm ready!
