I am moving forward...

I have all of my pre-op appointments scheduled. I will be completely done with all of my pre-op on August 28th...THAT IS ONLY 3 WEEKS AWAY!!! Woohoo My dietician and physiology are Friday 8-11. Then my psych eval is the 16th. Then my behavior class is 8-28!!!! My insurance has approved, but I have to meet my deductible AND I am out of network. I will end up paying about $8,000 to have the surgery...out of pocket. Whew that is a big chunk, but I have gotten through credit card bills that were more than that before. Please say a prayer for me that my pre-op schedule goes smoothly and that insurance approves me at 80% out of network instead of the 50% they want to do. I will make it work either way, but the 80% would be a HUGE help!!! Thanks for the

Leah, I'll certainly be praying that your insurance goes for 80%. That is a huge difference on a surgery that costs as much as this does. Is there no one in network you could go to? Just wondering, nosy me!! Lana

I like Dr. Hodges...but the real reason is because I never knew there were other doctors in MO that might be covered by my insurance until coming to this Missouri board. What doctors in Missouri (fairly close to springfield) are doing the LAP band?
