Another blessed Sunday. Today we have to go to Springfield for the evening service at my son and his wife's church. Their youngest child , my youngest granddaughter is being baptized. Amen She is almost 8 and if you talk to her you would swear she is 15. Lol. Very loving child. I hate to keep sounding like a whiner but not only have the uti but my right leg is really hurting. Just keeps getting worse. I had to go to a walker this morning. I cant put any weight on it at all. But at least that wont stop me from getting surgery. If we get back from Sedalia in time tomorrow I am calling this girl that does massage but she does therapeutic massage. She is really good and I have never went to her yet that I didn't leave without the pain that I went in with. She is expensive but worth it. So hopefully I can get in to see her Tuesday. Or at least Wednesday. This week is loaded with appointments for all sorts of things that will keep me busy. Lol I am drinking so much water and cranberry juice that I haven't had too much time or room to eat anything this week so what ever the amount of calories it will just have to be. I ate 3 pieces of bacon this morning . Yesterday I ate a piece of low fat turkey and a string cheese stick and a salad. With cut up turkey and some grated cheese on it. Oh yeah and a cucumber. So I know that wasn't anywhere near 1000 cal. Hope it is enough to shrink my liver some. don't know that it is enlarged tho. I had my pcp to see if she could feel it and she said no so it must not be enlarged. Lets hope so . I certainly appreciate all the prayers that are being said for me for the infection. Thank you so very much . I am trusting that God will heal me . Rachael: we will pray that the b-12 shots will work for you. You should notice a difference after one shot really . Take care of yourself. Sherr: Happy belated birthday to you. 38!wow I cant even remember that birthday. Lol Wonderful about you getting all of your stuff booked and set up all at the same time. Be careful on the drive up. I will be under the knife that day. So think of me if you will. Andrew: wonder why the protein drinks make your blood sugar lower. That is good that it does that but need to watch how much insulin you take or you will have other problems. That is neat about the ride service and for it to only cost 3.00 that is so great. We know for sure it would cost a whole lot more than that to go to Sedalia. Hope you get a surgery date soon. Lucky: there you are I was wondering where you went. I remember you said you didn't feel good . Seems like everyone is sick with something. I think it is all of this heat . That is wonderful that you have your letter in hand approving your surgery. Wonderful Yes I don't know if I have the chap stick on my list of things I am taking or not but I do have one in my bag already. I have everything packed except for the things I use daily. The only thing I bought new was a new pair of house shoes. Pam: sounds like loads of fun. Yes I know about packing campers. I use to help my mom pack hers up when she and daddy were going on a trip Hope the medicine helps you lose weight. I am like Sherr I have never slept well either. My mother said the same thing about me when I was a baby that I never slept like most little ones do. And by the time I was 9 months old I didn't take naps in the daytime anymore either. She said not that you could tell much difference. She said my naps were always like 15 or 20 minutes. Barbara: if you get on here one last time before you leave for Sedalia have a safe trip and I will see you tomorrow afternoon. Good luck and we all will be praying for you and for Dr. Hornbostel to come thru the surgery just fine. May the Lord bless you . Debbie: We aren't short we are height challenged. Lol That is like saying we aren't fat we are fluffy. I will be so happy when you get your surgery too. And then we can be petite again lol Sheila: thanks for the prayers. Colette: I will be waiting for the uplifting feeling . Right now I have this infection, a headache, an upset stomach from the antibiotics and my leg hurts. Sounds like I aint worth keeping. Lol Yea! I see you figured out how to do the cute little signs in your email. Yes I am drinking about 150 ozs a day of water and at least 16 oz of cranberry juice. Even tho I'm not real crazy about it. Yes the pcp did a culture and it showed that cipro was the drug of choice. She showed me the read out for it. Wi**** would have showed something else this stuff is making me sick and I've never had it to do me that way before. Lana: glad you are feeling so much better. Seems like everyone is getting down. I am sure that a lot of it is all of this heat. It is forcing people to stay or be inside instead of out in the fresh air. Anytime you have people staying inside either because of the heat or the cold you get too many germs floating around . I know you are going to be so happy having your daughter back closer to you. Where do her in laws live. How old is your grandson now? I bet you will enjoy being closer to him too. Will keep your friend in mind and tell him we would love to have him post on here. Can always use a new friend. Craig: how are you doing buddy. I know you said you ate some mashed potatoes. Were they just about the best thing you ever ate? How big of a helping did you eat? One ounce is what it is suppose to be. Do you have some ounce measuring cups. I went to the drugstore and got some of them from the pharmacy.not a lot of food but probably all you can eat right now anyway. Melissa will be home tomorrow sometime. There are some people who are missing from the board and for the life of me I cant remember the names of those. If you all know who is missing and have their email address drop them a line and tell them we miss them. Ok. And wish they would come back to the board. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good morning all! Although it's still night for me, as I haven't gone to bed yet -- I think sleep issues may go along with fluffiness. I've been trying to make myself go to bed at decent hour, but tonight I've just been wide awake. I volunteer in church office the first Sunday morning of every month -- I'll be wishing that I'd gotten some sleep when I get up in a few hours. On Tuesday, twelve members of my family (i.e. wheelchair-bound mother, sister and family, brother, husband, son, his buddy) are bound for Disneyworld. My family has somewhat twisted since of humor, but reason for trip stems from the death of my dad in April -- the genesis comes from an old joke: Little boy comes up to grandfather and says "Grandpa, will you croak like a frog for me?" The grandpa says "Well, okay, but how come?" Little boy replies "Because my mom says when you croak we're all going to Disneyworld!" This has been longstanding plan in my family (of which my dad was well aware) - at any rate, grandpa has croaked so we're all going to Disneyworld. My mom is in an assisted living facility, having suffered several mild strokes, and is sooo looking forward to the trip, although she forgets from one minute to the next that my dad has passed. This will be good for all of us -- my family is very close. Although my dad had been ill, his death was unexpected -- he passed away on the morning of my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. He is in a much better place, and this trip is really a celebration of that passage.... Have a great Sunday all, and stay cool!

lucky, I enjoyed your post and please have a wonderful time in Disneyworld. I have never been there. Truly that is a celebration when one passes on to be with the Lord. Colette

Lucky D, I think that celebration is wonderful! Sounds like something my family would do. The day my mother died and everyone gathered at my house we sent for fried chicken from her favorite restuarant and my aunt baked her favorite banana cake. We sat around eating and laughing and crying and telling our favorite "Freda" stories. It was very cathartic and was exactly what she would have done if she had been here. It was a celebration of her life! Enjoy your trip! Marilyn

Jan, just a quick hello this morning. Have been out in the garden pulling weeds and hoeing. decided it was time to come eat breakfast(or I should say drink bfk) and take a shower and get ready for church. Going to stick chicken in the oven to cook while we are gone. Jan, I am worried about your leg. Could you have a stress fracture? Sounds like mine acted. they will do an ultra sound and can determine cause - will be concern of blood clot. Please be careful. Praying that everything will turn out right for you. Colette
