Hi! My name is Leah

My name is Leah, and I found you through Lana. She and I are both patient's of Dr. Cameron Hodges in Springfield Missouri...and she said you were the best group of people around. A little about me... I am on the road to having surgery in September or October. My insurance (Great West) has approved 50% pay and Mary Trampler is working hard to get me 80% pay. I have had my intial consultation, and my dietician and exercise appointments are 8/11. Then my behavioral class is 8/28 and my psych eval will be sometime in the next 3 weeks. Whew - I can't believe I am on the road to WLS. My BMI is 50.3 and my current weight is 267 and my goal weight will be 165. I know it can be done!

Glad you found us and hope to see you at support meetings in Springfield . wont see you for the one in August as that is my surgery date but will see you in Sept if you come. Please do. My sister may be at the August meeting and give an update on me and my surgery. Jan

Leah, WOOHOO, so glad you are up and posting. Keep us all posted on your progress with your appointments. When you have surgery I'll be your angel. I don't exactly know what an angel does but have volunteered to be one for a woman having surgery on 8/31 so by the time your date comes around I'll be broken in!!! I will try to visit you at St. John's when you have surgery. I'm up there at least two days a week anyway to excercise. Again, keep posting. We don't like for any of our MO folks to go missing. Hi Lana, An angel will be at the phone and computer on the day the person you are being an angel for is having their WLS. You will be in contact with a relative at the hospital and then when they know something to report on the surgery person you will talk to them and then report on the board so everyone will know what's happening with one of our buddies. You will need to get contact #'s such as cell phones or home phone #'s so you can call them on surgery day. I hope this helps. Love Brenda
