Pre-ops are complete...

Well, I have all my pre-ops finished and have a pretty new pink bracelet to wear until surgery day. My appointment was for 11:00 a.m. and I got there at about 10:15. They took me in at 10:35 and I didn't get finished until 1:20. Because I'm having an open RNY, they are going to put a tube into my spine to give me pain meds. The anesthesiology doctor told me it would do a better job of relieving the pain of the huge incision I'm going to have. I can also have other pain meds, too. I'll be so drunk all the time that I won't even know what pain is! LOL I told her that was OK just as long as I had NO PAIN! I've never had a spine shot before. It really sounds just as painful as the incision. Oh, well, she said they would have me sedated and also numb the back where they are going to stick in the needle. I was amazed at how smoothly everything went today. When one person finished with me, the next was there in just a few minutes and so on. It was great. Hope everyone is having a great day. I sure don't notice too much difference in the temps here. I guess it's the humidity. Love and God's blessings....Linda

Linda, It wont be long now. Time is going fast. It is really nice how they have the pre-op set us. Everyone comes to you. This time next week your surgery will be over. How long are you going to have to be in. That will depend on what day I come to see you. Let me know if you can. Colette

Hey Linda Well next week is the big week for us . It was amazing just how fast the Pre-ops went and how convenient they made everything for you. Well I just wanted to say God's blessings be upon you. To my wonderful God is going to take care of your pain You will be up and about before you know it. I am glad to hear that the Pre-Op appt went well, now I know what to look forward to as for mine is Aug 24.
