Well what do you say about this weather but for the fact that I'm getting cabin fever from having to stay in so much. My yard is beginning to have a very unkempt look about it. The grass needs mowing but I wont let Joe get out there in this heat and mow and the flower beds are beginning to need weeks pulled. All I am about able to do is turn the water on and let it flood the flower beds early in the morning and hope they all survive this mess. I guess if not I will have to start all over again. Next year I will feel better and more able to deal with this heat I hope. And there looks like there is no end in sight. Craig: so very glad that you are finally pulling yourself up and out. Now we can all see the power of prayer first hand with him. He's a miracle waiting to happen now. Go Craig. Debbie: Yes I try to think of all the things I might want or need to make me comfortable for those couple of days. Yes I intend to take my pillows with me. And one other thing is a digital camera. don't know that I will use it but might want a picture of the doctor or someone. Lol Maybe some of the people that are going to come visit me. I don't wear a lot of makeup but I do like to look human and mascara and blush helps some lol. Colette: Glad to see you are back at your work routine. Is Mel doing ok now? How is your garden fairing? This heat will soon wipe it all out I know but I hate to see it go so early . I have noticed a lot of trees in the woods are turning yellow and losing leaves. I hope they don't die. Oh to answer you about how you put the angels in your post. When you post something put type and it will show up as and angel. Also. Like or or All of these are over to the side of your post an show you what to type. I hoped that helped. Your tomatoes and salad sounded yummy. Barbara: Glad you were impressed with Bothwell hospital. You mean the pre-ops only took about 2 hours total? Most people say it took almost all day. Maybe you had some of your stuff already done . Oh wow I had forgot about cherry limeades. I love those things. We will have to tell Sonic to make a s.f. one. Lol It is a comfort to know that we can count on all of our friends on here to be praying for us isn't it? Melissa: that angel food ministries is all over everywhere. And is for anyone. It really is a good deal. If anyone is interested the web site is www.angelfoodministries.com That will tell you all about it and also the menus and give you all the host sites by states. Where in Ark. Does your family live? I know you will have lots to do getting ready to go to Ark and visit family . You said you were leaving today ? When will you be back? Listen to old mother hen cackling again. Lol Deanna: lol had to laugh at you about the 5 days a week. Honey if you can go 3 days a week and do their rotations I would think that would work really well. Maybe you can work up to 5 days a week eventually. When you get to that stage you may want to add something else to your exercise routine. Like aerobics or something. Isn't that great to think that one day soon you might be able to do aerobics? I cant imagine it at this point . The swimming sounds great , especially in this heat. Marcie: You really watch going golfing in this heat. That could be devastating. Looks like your business should be booming . People wanting to get their babies clipped short for comfort. Don't work to hard in this heat and get sick. Benny: Everyone is wondering where in the heck you are.. I hope all is well with you. David: Enjoy those puppies that you have left. They will be gone soon. Here is praying for God to intervene with the doctors and get you to feeling better. Wayne; the summer must be really keeping you busy. Lana: Glad you like that soup. I think it is the best thing I have eaten in a long time . And is easy to make. The hardest thing about making it is peeling the butternut squash. The peel is very hard. Nana Linda; has anyone heard or seen her since she got back from her vacation in New Mexico? Debbie Murdock: asked on a post yesterday what we hoped to gain with the surgery. One thing that I want that no one mentioned is being able to sleep on my stomach again with out my back hurting. I love tummy sleeping. Tressia: did you hear whether the hospital in St. Louis passed their inspection or not? Hope so now if there are doctors there that will take Medicare. There is already one in St. Louis that is a center of excellence but there are no doctors there that will take Medicare so that one is wasted. They ought to yank their certification when that is so. Robin Nannette: glad you got to the seminar and liked Dr. H. I and most others think he is a God send. He has been there to help when no one else would or could. Be sure and post often and keep us informed of your journey. Holly Robinette: glad you now have your surgery date. Where are you having surgery. Post and keep us informed. Well new people coming onto the web site daily with good news, no news and hoped for news. We enjoy hearing from each and everyone of you. Please keep us informed about how your journey is going. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning All....thanx for the feedback on the post " gain after losing" There were some great comebacks! Jan: I didn't mean you shouldn't take makeup or that you wouldn't want it. Everyone that wears makeup should take it with them if they want, especially ME...lol Makeup usually makes us ladies feel better and like I said, I take all comforting things! You just reminded me of that time with my sis when you mentioned taking makeup. She thought she was gonna want to bother with makeup after she went into labor and that her makup would look good after giving birth to her daughter. I don't know what everyone else would look like but I for one would of looked like Alice Cooper or some other crazy rocker with wild hair and make up. Needless to say, labor hit her so hard she didn't bother with her makeup, she gave birth to her beautiful daughter and I thought my sis never looked better and she was "makeup free" I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, I wasn't trying too I will probably have my makeup with me when it's my turn for wls, I just don't know if I'll want to put it on...now one thing I do pray for is that if anyone comes to see me, I'll have my TEETH in ...LOL Thats all for now...EVERYONE, have a GREAT DAY!!

Jan, Sonic has a diet Cherry Limeade on their menu. They use diet Sprite instead of the regular Sprite. I like it soooooo much better because I don't think it's as sweet as the regular. They are absolutely yummy! I may just have to stop by and get me one after I exercise this morning! Thanks for reminding me. Linda

Goood Morning Ya'll, Wow its hot already outside, this heat is unreal. Even the east coast where its never this hot is hotter then its ever been. Hope you all stay inside where its cool, there's so many people getting sick from the heat. Jan I can just imagine your flowers and all are drying up and getting wilted from the heat, just think tho next year you'll be more able to take care of them and want to be out more. Hope you stay inside where it's cool, sure cant ya have sick from the heat this close to your surgery date. When is your preop again?? I know I so can't wait for a week from today, I go for my consult. Glad you ordered angel food again, we've ordered those same packages for august, it really helps to be stocked up like that esp for after surgery. I really think all that will last us more then a month since we will hardly be able to eat. Melissa, thats awesome you buy and take it up to your parents place, do you all buy for yourselves too?? I usually go with the crew to pick up each month for our church, its such a blessing to do it, I get so tired that day but wouldnt change it for nothing, just to hear the testimonies of people that count on the discounted food cuz they cant afford much and to see the blessed look on their faces is worth it all. One more thing Melissa.............SPONGE BOB RULEZ GURL SPONGE BOB RULEZ Brenda thank you so much for all the emails you send out, they are always such a blessing. Well Im gonna run to the post office and store before it gets to hot. Ya'll stay cool and have a great day!!! God Bless Ya's Andrew

I very happy about that Jan. The last thing I would want is to upset anyone from in here. We all are or will be going through so much, we don't need stress added! I'm sorry about your flowers! @}}~>~>~~ The weather is sooooooo hot and humid! They say we (here by KC) will have thunderstorms tonight and cooler tomorrow! I'm afraid it will, in the long run only make it more humid though and being from CA, I do good in the heat but this humidity is what gets me! Gotta be ready! My daughter called last night to ask "how do you get a bean out of a kid's nose?" I said the only experience I have with that is when my friend's baby boy (whose grown now) shoved one up his nose. That I had to gently hold him down while his Dad used tweezers to pull it out and whenever it got close to the opening he would start squirming and Dad would lose he grip on the bean. We tried several times then finally I got a plan, when Dad got close to getting it out and the boy would start squirming I told the boy that if he would hold still just a little longer I would make him some hot cocoa (it was winter then) and it worked! I think what happened is with me talking to him it took his mind off what Dad was doing, long enough that Dad did what he had to do....the boy did want cocoa as soon as he was up though! I told my daughter: to be patient because it may take awhile and to be careful not to pu**** in farther up, to put light pressure on the nostril above the bean as it was coming out to try and keep it from going back up. I told her if all else fails take him to the doctor. It worked and the boy is fine....Thank God! Enough stories for now, I need to do housework! You all behave out there in this heat, be safe traveling and be nice to someone today even if there not! God will Love you for it!

Hi Jan and Missouri Board !! Just got back in the house, my DH had an early appointment at the doctor's today and then we plan later to go see a house, then come back and try to get this place in order my son and DIL will be here tomorrow sometime . Jan, it may have been longer but I didn't pay too much attention, my appointment was 11:00, I got there early because I needed to route how to get to the hospital (last time my SIL drove) however we were back in KC by 3:30 so I guess it was quite a long time (earth to Barbara) lol. Anyway I guess I'm still on cloud nine or something . They did tell me that I can't gain any weight, they weighed me and I am 318 now and have to be 318 on Monday or lower, but definitely not more so after I had my breakdown with the cherry limeade I'm sticking strictly to the diet, so none of those last time I'll eat this dinners for me lol. Melissa; Thanks for your prayers and enjoy that sweet little baby girl and your trip. Brenda: Thank you for humor in the morning I love your sense of humor Colette: Hi hope you have a great day and your DH is feeling better too. Linda: I may not be able to visit you so I'll try and leave a card or something for you before I leave for home, God bless you for a speedy recovery, you are an Craig: Glad to hear and see you are doing better and up and about, God's continued blessings. To everyone: if I didn't mention you by name please forgive me I'm not good like Jan and Melissa at all the names, but I am keeping you all in my prayers. I really can't say enough of how I feel about you guys and I don't want to get soupy or weepy so I'll just say you all. Have a blessed and day, Barb T. in KC

Jan and all my Missouri OH buddys, Good morning (afternoon) to all of you. It is so hot. I can't believe that we talk about this all the time but it is just so overwhelming. I am praying so hard for rain. The lawn is looking burned even though we have automatic sprinklers. I am anxious for DH to be home now. I miss him and I also hate watering everything twice a day. However, I don't want him to come home to dead plants after he's worked so hard to have a pretty garden so the hose and I are becoming close friends!!! Jan, I think you could blend the soup without the shrimp and it would still be wonderful. I think we might want to use lite coconut milk and fat free half and half, which I don't understand but have seen at the store. Should be a good source of protein too. Yummy. Had a long phone conversation today with a friend from thirty years ago. Saw where her mother had died up in North Missouri so I called her and left a message. My friend lives in Tucson now. She and her DH have both retired and are enjoying themselves greatly. I have a birthday this month and after that I have four years til retirement. I am anxious but do enjoy working too. Melissa, I am not sure how they are counting my program. I started with the PCP in May but didn't get signed up at the gym until 6/13 so it's been about eight weeks there and longer for my PCP. I don't expect much to happen before February. I can't even have an appointment with Dr. Hodges until I finish the six months per my Ins Co. She said why would you want to see him unless we've approved you and I guess that makes sense to them. They don't know Ms Relentless. I won't let them win!!! My weight is just about the same, I keep gaining and losing the same two pounds and my PCP says that is exactly what he wants to see. I am complying with his exercise program and keeping a food journal and that's what he wants from me. I just keep praying that this will happen. I can't worry about it, it is something that I can't control except for doing what I'm told to do. I believe worrying about things we can't change or control is a sin. That's why we put our trust in the Lord. By the way, you are doing so fantastic. You and Jan wear me out. I am excited by the thought that by this time next year I'll be a loser and not diabetic and able to do so much more than I can now. Hallelujah!!! I keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers and cannot wait for those surgery days to start coming. Hugs and love Lana
