Psyche eval?

Hello MO, I have been gone for awhile but now I'm back and getting my ducks lined up. I've hit a stumbling block with the psyche eval though. There is no place around here I can get it done in time. It seems they are all booked up with court-ordered counseling for drugs and alcohol. My appointment to see Dr. H is Aug. 23 and I really wanted to have everything ready to take with me. Has anyone else had problems with this? Marilyn

Marilyn something a letter written by your pcp will surfice stating that you are a sound thinking person and that you have the ability to follow the guide lines of the diet. Call and talk to Dena or email her she can tell you what to do. Jan

Marilyn, Is Springfield too far for you to travel?? If not try to get into the Burrell Center. They have one person that does phych evals for WLS. I forget her name but, I went to her, Pixielf also did and also a good friend of mine went to her. Wish I could think of her name....shoot...I'll think of it just as soon as I log off!! LOL I think her last nime is Hollaway...??? Anyway call and see if they can get you an appt. within the time frame you need. The main information number for Cox health is 417-269-6000 and then have them transfer you or give you the number. Why not try West Plains, Mo or Jonesboro, Ark. Or Harrison or Branson. If you try you can surely get in somewhere you just may have to drive. Nobody said this road was going to be easy it is not easy at all. Find somewhere to have the psy done dont let it be a stumbling block to you. DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO HAVE WLS.
