What do you want to gain by losing?

I am in agreement with everyone, but I would like to add a few more: Go to any store and buy clothes off the rack. Buy clothes from a store that doesn't sell clothes with a higher size than a large. Walk down stairs without having to look down to make sure I actually step on a step so I don't fall. Wear shrink-to-fit, button down, 501 jeans. Pick up things from the floor without holding onto something. Pick up something from the floor without having to spread my legs like a giraffe. Not worry about whether I am showing my belly or not. Wear a tank top. Not have my feet swell when I sit for any length of time. I gotta go to bed now and see if I can finally go to sleep. Good Night Brenda

There are so many reasons. Some "small" things in addition to the obvious ones of being healthy, happy and comfortable through life are: I want to be able to run and play with my children. I want to quit have people asking if I am pregnant again. I want to wear underwear that do not look like a shirt when sitting in a pile of laundry. I want to be able to sit in the desks at night school or at work meetings and be able to put the tray down all the way. Those are just a few, but they will do for today. GREAT post!

Thank you Leah...I can relate to the "pregnant" remark. I was asked once when my baby was due and I wasn't even fat at the time or pg...geez, I wonder what she would ask me now? Maybe "did your stomach explode?"

OH MY!! What would I gain: How about pretty much most of what every one else above my response has written and maybe more. Self respect along with independence. Losing a recliner and gaining back my queen sized bed. Losing that usless person feeling and becoming a useful energetic exciting person again. Enjoy life health and the goal to make people I meet and my loved ones happy to know me. Thank you Deb. for asking: Tressia

I was thinking about this question again and started thinking....... We just got back from a vacation that would have been so much more fun and wonderful if I had been 100 lbs lighter, I could have walked longer, I could have done the fun things I craved to do such as white water rafting, going to Dollywood, riding the skylift, going up the spaceneedle, swimming in the hotel pools.......among many other things. I also want to be able to wear other colors than black or dark blue pants and feel comfortable in them. (It's all I wear). I would love to have a pair of pink scrub pants! (I work in a hospital). I would love to be able to go a whole day without my back, knees and ankles hurting. I would love to be able to see my ankles and legs at a normal size....without all the water weight. Ok, Ok.........I will keep on dreaming.......
