MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!

Well the start of another week , work for some others like me just another day to fill with time consuming things to help time pass. Today is an exciting day for Barbara. She goes for pre ops today. I now have 2 weeks to go till surgery. Hope everything goes well for you today Barbara. Don't know were everyone was yesterday . Must have been very busy for so few to post on the boards. But I forget that others have things to do sometimes. I think we are going into Springfield today to do some shopping. I want to stop by the store that Lana told me about and pick up some curry paste for some of my cooking. Hope all is well with everyone and you all aren't sick to death of my ramblings. Lol Craig: I hope the apple juice was good to you and you did dilute it . How are you feeling by now are you getting your strength back yet? Remember you had major surgery and you are going to feel weak and tired . Not a lot of people tell you about that part but you don't feel better instantly I don't think. Andrew: Yes I have heard of Angel Food Ministries. That is such a great thing. If anyone doesn't know about this you need to check it out. Anyone can buy this stuff and it is quite the savings. I keep meaning to do it but the closest one to us is quite far really. Glad someone else enjoys Sunday mornings quietness and awe as much as I do . It really seems different than any other day to me. May only be in my mind but ... Tressia: so good to hear from you and I know you have been enjoying those grandbabies . They are really something at those ages arent they. The youngest of my grandkids is 7 years old but we are starting to get Great Grands now. We have one g.g.son and are expecting a new one in March. That is such a strange concept to me to be a great grandmother. It is weird , you are delegated this status of being someone they want you to be that doesn't seem to quite fit. Or at least to me it doesn't. seem to yet. They don't ask you to baby sit because I think they think you are too old to do it .lol But they do want to take pictures of you with the baby especially lol and pictures of 4 generations .lol I guess I will adjust to that status after awhile and hope that I stay around to be a great great grandmother. Wow that could happen in another 20 years. Well I hope every one is ok and have been praying for you all that nothing is wrong. I know that Melissa is getting ready to go on a little trip to Arkansas. And Barbara is probably getting ready this morning to go to Sedalia. Well, Jan, I've got 9 days and 23 hours left. I started my 1000 calorie diet yesterday and so far am doing great. Tomorrow I go get my hair cut and a perm put in. The beautician said it would be better to do it before surgery because the anesthetic does something to the hair and it won't curl. Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. I go for my pre-ops. I can't believe how quickly it has gotten here. I really thought it was going slowly, but here it is time for surgery already. I've been having some pollen allergy problems in the past week. Guess I'll try some Claritin to see if that gets rid of the running sinuses. That continual drip makes a tickle in the back of my throat. I'm going into Inter-State Studios (they take school pictures) and apply for a job today. I figure by the time they start hiring their seasonal help I'll be up and OK after my surgery. But I sure want to get my name in the pot before a lot of other people do. After applying for work, I'm going to exercise and then it's home to do the laundry. It sure is a shame that Adam and Eve messed up and we all had to start wearing clothes. LOL Hope you have a great day in Springfield and be sure you drink lots of water. Hello Hello Ya'll What a weekend it was. Seems like the weekends are coming and going so fast that before ya know it Jan and Linda and all the others having surgery this month will be through it all and on the losers bench. A week from wednsday I go for my consult with Dr. Hornbostel, I so can't wait. Im so praying that soon after I"ll have a close surgery date. Yes Jan AngelFood Ministries is a wonderful way to buy food, esp if your watching your budget and the good thing is that anyone can buy it. The last couple months they've had some really good specials on meat paks and I been stocking up on beef steaks and stuff so that after surgery and when Im able to eat solid foods I can cook a steak and get protien that way, they come in small portions so all i should have to do is like cut the steak in half and it should be just right for a meal. I guess everyone is off doing last min stuff before school starts again. Havnt seen Deb or Marcia or Sherr and a few others in a few days, hope they come around soon or we might have to send the possy out to find em lol. Craig I sure hope you doing a bit better today. Cant wait to hear that your feeling better and running around with lots of energy Well I spose I'm gonna do a couple things quick before it gets to hot. Hey crew..... I was so wiped from that trip to Columbia last week, I can't remember if I told you guys they asked for additional bloodwork from their lab downstairs, and that guy must have been really mad at his wife that day.... Numerous sticks in each are, and 8 or 9 vials of blood later, My arms hurt so bad. I guess I just wasted my $125 for the bloodwork I had here. I had to then drive my huge vehicle home for 6 hours....my arms burned so badly, it was just a terrible experience. THEN......(((takes a deep breathe))))) I have gotten a Summer Flu...WHO DOES THAT? I have been sick as a dog for 2 days.... I have fever, chills, can't breathe...blek. Can't sleep....blek...I felt goof for a bout 5 mins today, and that wained....noting that will kill me...just annoying! My insurance submission is officially in "PENDING" as I called today to see... I know, I know....but I can't wait.... Love you guys... OH! If you "see" the others...tell em I am still alive and kickin' but..mostly delirious w/ flu :D Sh

I am still kicking just not very high. I go to the heart doc and the pacemaker rep Wednesday to see if they can adjust my pacemaker to make me feel better. I sure hope so one day I can feel pretty good and the next day I feel like a train ran over me. I am down to just six pups and maybe some will go this week. I am picky on who gets them as I want them all to have good homes with lots of love as I have them spoiled rotten. The biggest girl got to be a smart aleck last night she jumped up on the bed by herself she wanted to sleep with me. She slept but she decided it was time to get up about 5 am and I was not ready yet.

Heeeelllllllooooooo Just a quick post to say yes I am alive and well. Running around today getting some errands done. Going to have company over tonight for supper again. The neighbors came down last night and we got our Fire Pit going and cooked hotdogs and smores. No I didnt eat any hothogs I have tried a bite in the past and they just dont taste the same. But they sure do smell good tho. And I had 1 smore without any problems. They didnt leave until almost 1:45 this morning. Going to get my meatloaf together and let it marinate until around 5pm. And let me eggs cool down. That way I can get into the pool and exercise and layout for awhile. Before I need to come back in and get everything together. My baby (****er) Ms. Buttons is going to the beatiful shop today to get cut and dipped. That way she can go with us when I go to my parents house. She is our spoiled rotten baby. lol So how did everyones weekend turn out?? Did you all have fun and try to stay out of the heat?? I know it is kind of hard to do when the temp start soaring like they have been. Well I am going to get off of here. Gotta get my onion cut and my meat all seasoned. I hope you all have a great day. Hi Missouri Board Friends, I'm at work now but took some time off this AM. My boss is on vacation and there isn't much to do when she's not here. DH is in Las Vegas so I am the designated flower waterer so did that early this AM and will water again when I get home after work. It is so hot the plants really suffer. I am eating some of Jans wonderful squash/shrimp soup right now for my lunch. It is soooooo good. Of course, I really like the flavor of curry but never had it with squash. I cooked lots of stuff over the weekend so I won't have to make food when I get home at night and I'll have food to take for lunch this week. I spray painted some wicker drawers and put one of those window looking wall murals up in my bathroom yesterday. Looks awesome I think. I cannot believe it is only two more weeks until your surgery, Jan. It seems like it so far away and then, BAM, it's here. You'll do great, I know. Craig, can't wait for you to feel better and be back on the board. David, hope the Doctor can get you to feeling better soon. Glad the puppies are leaving although I'll bet it is hard to see them go. Hi Jan and Everyone!! Just got home from Sedalia and Pre-ops wasn't at all like I expected, they make everything so convenient for you and you don't have to run all over the hospital trying to find where everything is . I met two of Dr. H's patients that have already had surgery and they gave him such high praise and told me I'm in really good hands. So I'm ready for next week and still hoping that this is not just a dream I'm having . I was worn out from the heat yesterday and decided to just stay still after getting in out of it. Hope everyone is keeping cool Linda: It's here Lady, when is your Pre-op? Then Jan, and Brenda, I hope I haven't missed anyone, if I did please forgive me, you all are in my prayers, please keep me in yours. I'm going to take a late nap was up at 6:00 this morning to get ready and I drove there and back, my DH is not a highway driver, that's okay though my son will be here AND HE DRIVES LIKE HIS MOTHER, LOL. Hi all -- haven't posted for a couple of days as I have felt sick as a dog since Saturday -- went to the doctor today an turns out I have strep throat and a raging sinus infection -- he gave me drugs, but I turned out having reaction to antibiotic (cippro) -- felt like I was preparing for colonoscopy or WLS surgery. Now have different anitbiotic and I'm heading back to bed -- Craig, hope all is well. Take care all

I didn't have much going on over the weekend. I groomed 4 dogs Saturday, and took my daughter to a show afterwards, and on Sunday afternoon we went to Warrensburg to do some clothes shopping for the kids for our trip. Wow Jan 2 weeks from today it will finally be your turn to join the losing side. I'm excited for you!!! Wish I could visit you in the hospital, but I'll be praying for you and will be with you in spirit.
