Sunday Morning Whats Happening:

Something so special about Sunday mornings isn't there. Even if you don't go to Church every Sunday it has a calmness and quietness about it that makes it a most special day. We live so far from a church that we don't get to go very often so on Sunday mornings Joe and I have our own prayers and talks with God on the back porch . It always feels like He is there with us. Where two or more are joined together.... Well the heat is with us once more. Don't understand this weather this year. It is very weird. Maybe is the last days. A lot of signs are there I think. Lana ask me to post this Recipe so here goes. Butternut Squash Soup: Dice one onion, sauté in a small amount of oil. Add cubed peeled butternut squash after the onions have reached a clear appearance. Add 2 tsp of curry powder to start and garlic salt. Also some red pepper flakes. Add more to taste. After the squash has cooked add 1 can of coconut milk, plain, Pint of half and half milk And pint of reg milk. During the last 10 minutes of cooking put in two pounds of cooked shrimp, I cut mine in pieces. And serve. Is simple and easy and is great. The coconut milk doesn't have any sugars in it. So it should be ok for anyone to eat. Not sure about the half and half. What do you all think for post ops. Well did every one see that my sister Sugar had posted on the board. A lot of you have met her at the seminar in Sedalia and then at the last months support meeting in Springfield. Hope you keep coming on the board Sugar, Some great people on here. Debbie : so sorry about your poor little bird. That is sad . But yes they do die easily. I bird sat a friends little bird one time long ago and the little thing died while I was bird sitting. I felt so bad , though about going and buying her another one but didn't. She said that it could have been just the change in where his cage was that did it. Be careful with the type of work you do around the house, you don't keep to bang yourself up any more. Barbara: Hope you got the bedroom ready for son and dil . When are they arriving? 8 days wow that is all you have till surgery 7 not counting the day of. It has been several years since I have seen the passion play but they say that each year they add some new dimension to it. Maybe next year a group of us could go see it again. We might even get someone to pick you up in Springfield and drive you down since you are afraid of those roads. Lol Brenda: Praise God that your son came home safe and sound. That should make you feel a lot better. Sorry you have been having allergy problems. I use to have such allergy problems but this year has really been a good year for me so far. Not much problems. Pam: lol oh to be 31 again . To me you are just a child. That is how it seems when you go over the hill every one else is so young. Happy Birthday , hope you had a good day. He doesn't want you to sue him. Hope he had insurance to fix your car with. I posted the Squash recipe I don't have it in front of me and cant remember if I left something out or not. Don't think so. Yes the hydrangeas wilt very easy. I put about 3 inches of bark mulch around mine and out about a foot at least and they still wilt easily. And mine are planted in full shade but it has been so hot lately it has wilted a lot of plants and flowers this year. Marcie: That is so good that your business has grown so much that you are needing more space. Hope you find a spot that is perfect for you soon. I guess you and your kids are getting excited about your trip to Ca. wont be long now will it. I see Melissa is a new aunt again this time to a little girl. She will have fun with her . Good Morning Ya'll... Like Jan, this morning Im sitting here enjoying the peacefulness of a sunday morning. I with ya Jan, it really seems like sunday mornings are just so peaceful and quiet at times. I walked outside a few min ago and I could hear the birds chirpin a lil but it's just so peaceful, of course those birds were prolly saying, fly for covers its gonna be hot lol. This weather is so crazy. Once a month our church does what they call Angel Food Ministries where people in our area and church order $60 - $70 of food for only $25, well yesturday was that day and we have to go about 30 miles to pick it up from the truck at 5am, you'd think it would be sorta cool that time of morning but NOOOOOOOO it was so humid that it felt like it was raining almost, I could not believe it. Where is that fall weather?? Will it ever get here?? I guess it will when fall gets here lol. Jan we never did get any rain the other day like you all did, I so wish we would of. We did get some rain yesturday afternoon, some strong showers but they only lasted about 30 mins then the sun came out and made it so steamy out. I think I could of put some veggies in a pan outside and they'd a been steamed good enuff to eat lol. That recipe sounds yummy, Im gonna have to try that sometime soon. Melissa....congrats on being an aunt once again!!!!!!! Craig buddy, hang in therer, God didnt bring ya this far to drop ya now. You've had some major surgery silly, your gonna feel weak and tired for a couple weeks I'm sure. Im sure lifting ya up my prayers everyday, it wont be long you'll be up and running around. Craig we gotta do something about that Melissa, the other night she called me and asked me to pray for ya and then goes and says " Patrick Rulez" hahaha we're gonna have to show her *****ALLY rulez lol SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!!!!!!!! It's late again for me. But happy Sunday for everyone. I really do rise early but just don't seem to be able to head towards the computer early as I would like these days. Maybe soon. I am so glad to see that you are back home and doing much better. My prayers have been with you. Jan: I have been enjoying my family eminsly this beautiful Sunday. The 20 month old is so bad he is so cute at being so bad...... I just love it. He will look at you and laugh while he is being so so so bad........His blonde hair and hazel eyes. Then we have the 2 month old who just smiles all the time never cries unless he is hungry always so happy. But all in all the older one is challenging. just like all little boys should be.
