Saturday Whats Happening.
Good mornnnnnnnnnnning Missouri. Well we had some wonderful rain here in Cedar Creek yesterday. Almost 2 inches. It rained and rained. My garden is happy. Lol
I spent the whole day laying around and didn't do one constructive thing all day. Read a book or started it anyway. I kept falling asleep. Joe had gone down to Ark. To visit one of his brothers that just had surgery and I didn't go because of this kidney infection and my back hurting. I didn't think riding for 5 hours would be that great. So took the day to rest and drink water and cranberry juice and taking my antibiotics.
I will be glad when this is gone. My kidneys aren't hurting now at least. I guess I got them flushed out yesterday. I drank almost 200 ozs of stuff yesterday. Lol
Craig: You sound almost giddy in your post . And Im sure you are. To know that you made it thru the surgery and you are losing weight, and the pneumonia is about all gone. Too many good things at once. Lol Sway and waddle at the same time. Lol that must be a little hard to do isn't it? Keep up the good work. You are still in my prayers.
Colette: It is great that Mel doesn't have anything else. I know it made you happy and Mel too. That dumping over the salad doesn't sound like much fun. Yuck. Maybe there was too much sugar in the dressing or something. Or maybe the tummy just decided it didn't like salad right then. I know that couldn't be pleasant. Take care of yourself.
Dannielle: Yes Eureka Springs is really great. My daughter lives in Holiday Island just outside of Eureka Springs. And works in E.S. at a resort called Redbud Valley it is absolutely the most beautiful spot I have seen . Over a hundred acres all landscaped and lot of flowers planted everywhere. Looks like the Garden of Eden to me. Lol
Pam : what sort of surgery are you having next Wed? I hope you recover fast from it and the doc gives you the go ahead to try for that baby. That is a happy thought anyway isn't it. The baby and the trying too. Lol
Linda: wow you only have 9days left oh wow!!!! 16 for me double wow!!! You are down to single digits now.
LOL sounds like the doggie sitting didn't go to great but yeah I know what you mean about keeping the peace between you and the brother. Sometimes you have to not say what you want to , to keep the peace. I say my family have lots of faults but they are family and I love each and everyone of them. I just look over the silly things they do or say and still love them. After all when they are gone you wont have them anymore. I have already lost one brother and intend to love all my other siblings until I don't have them anymore.
Barbara: They say the passion play has grown so much from what it use to be. If it has been a long time since you went , you really need to go again. They have added so many things to it that makes it so much more real. How many of you have ever been to that. It is such an awesome experience.
LOL on the driving on the roads over there. I guess I am use to it. You should see where I live. It is about the same. To get to town from where I live is a 30 minute drive of hills and curves and like that all the way. A friend of mine came up and she said that she was scared to death getting to my house. Lol
Andrew: Did you get any of that rain yesterday. We had about 2 inches. Seems that is the way it goes this summer . Lots of rain and then nothing.
Glad you got your computer reformatted . I had to do that to mine a few months ago. Is a pain to save off all of your programs and everything but good to have it nice and clean and re done too.
I think we all like you just fine without hair, but I guess if you want to dream about hair go ahead. Lol
I think wls will fix a lot of things but don't think it will fix the top of your head too.
Melissa: sounds like you are trying to squeeze everything you can into this last weekend with your nephew.
I am feeling better after babying myself yesterday all day. I go back to my pcp on the 4th. I sure hope this is all gone by then. It is cutting it awfully close .
Did you get any rain yesterday? Or did you get to use your pool? I guess when it rains you don't get exercise in do you.?
Hey yeah I am looking forward to the Sept meeting too. don't know where we will go afterwards but looking forward to it never the less.
Debbie : how are you feeling after beating yourself on the head. Good grief girl!!!maybe you are a little lethal with tools. DON'T even think about using a skill saw or any thing powered by electric. Lol
Sounds like God led you to the house . We all need to pray for Debbie to not beat herself up any more.
Jai: good luck on getting your pcp to intercede for you with the insurance company. Keep asking him to do so. I have found that what they say about the squeaky wheel is true. It will happen for you soon I hope. Will keep you in my prayers.
Rachael: did you get the info I sent you about the protein? I couldn't get it to go thru to your work email. Says I don't have a digital signature. So I sent it to you at home , it was the same with trying to send it to your mom too. I guess that eliminates a lot of extra email coming in huh?
Hopefully the b-12 shots will eliminate all your pain. When will you get to start those?
I would think that they would want you to start the shots and see if you didn't feel better before they ran anymore tests.
Lana: Quit running the streets girl. Sounds like you have a busy week planned. So have you found us a place to go for coffee after the Sept meeting? I guess we can tell the people at the meeting that we are going to do this during the meeting and who ever wants to go can. So have no idea how many will be I would say not more than a dozen at least.
Enjoy your week this week sometimes it is nice to just have your own space for a little bit. No matter how much love you have for them.
Marcia: good luck on finding a place for your shop. So has your business grown that much since you opened that this one is too small now? That is something to be grateful about then.
Hang in there one of these days you will belong to the post op club too. I know it.
Sky, Brenda, David, Wayne. Nanna, where were you . Miss you when you don't post.
Hope everything is ok with all of our old friends and all the new ones that don't post every day.
Lucky: when is your surgery date? It must be soon. Let us know.]
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
LOL Jan...I know, oh how I know. I still have a headache and my neck hurts when I turn my head certain ways but I will be okay. Yes, I do believe God lead the way that day, there was no other way! When I got hit, it staggered me and took me a few seconds calculate what had happened and what I needed to do to get to a safe place. I immediately put it in God's hands because I knew I couldn't do it alone!
When that fence post driver bounced off that T- post and hit me, there was a great deal of force behind it. The T- post was stuck on something; tree root, rock, whatever, I didn't know that at the time and I had put everything I had into that driver, all 283lbs. of it and the one thing that I haven't lost is the upper body strength I have left over from being a Metro driver in KC (city bus driver) for 10 years.
I got up yesterday to find my little tweedy bird dead! My cotton candy colored parakeet was laying in the bottom of her cage, hence the name was Candy, her nickname was Ninja bird...she was always kickboxing her toys...she's a freebird now! I had never had a bird before so I didn't know how long they lived...she was only 3 years old....hubby says they don't live long and they can die easily; scared, heat, cold, teflon burning (I saw that one on Marc Marone's show on Sat & Sun mornings). I will miss her.
BTW Jan, I do watch "So you think you can dance" and I agree with you on Benji. All my favorites are still there, except Ivan, he's good just too much of a kid for me. I love watching Benji and his cousin Heidi dance! They amaze me!
Well, today is a new day and looks like it's going to be beautiful! Thank you Lord! I hope to get things done (inside and slowly). I hope and pray that you all have awesome days as well! PRAISE GOD!! Love & Prayers, Deb
Good morning Jan and Missouri Board!
Hope everyone is feeling good this beautiful day, I don't have any outside plans for today, my church is in Youth Explosion Week and there is a picnic today but it's going to be absolutely too hot to be sitting out in this heat so I'm not going. Jan I can't tell you how many years it's been since I saw the Passion Play and it was awesome then so I can imagine how stirring it is now with the additions, but after surgery and losing weight I will be able to do more than I've done in a loooonnnnggg time LOL. I'm going to finish getting my extra bedroom in order because my son and DIL will be here I believe on next Thursday . Well I guess I had better get busy, you all have a great weekend I'll let you know what happened at pre-op on Monday when I get back in town .
God's riches blessings to you to all!
Barb T. in KC
Hello Jan and Everybody,
Sorry I haven't posted but I have a ton of allergies and right now all the weeds are blooming and I have been getting up with a headache every morning and sneezing and sniffling My ENT doctor told me to avoid ragweed like the plague. Welllllllllllllll now you know if you live in Missouri that is impossible. I took allergy shots once a month for years but I still had outbreaks so I quit taking them. My ENT told me that the only way I was ever gonna be better would be to move to Arizonia or New Mexico. I have been to Arizonia , my son that is in the Air Force was stationed in Tucson and we went to see him. I didn't like it at all. Jan you talk about all your flowers, have you ever been to Arizona? Well they have no flowers in their yards they don't even have grass. They have chat and very small gravel that they rake around and call it landscaped, and maybe a cactus or two and palm trees. My son had a back yard that had grass, a patch maybe 20x20 and he said when they got stationed elsewhere ,that patch of grass would sale his house and it did!
I want to thank everyone for the prayers for my son, he got home from Irag thursday night, his job is classified and all we know is he is in intelligence and he's been over there twice now, but he said he shoudn't have to go back again. I thank the Lord for his safe return!
Craig I sure am glad you are feeling better.
Linda and Barbara T. it won't be long now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jan and I will be right behind you!
Just to let everybody know Melissa is my Angel I am so thankful to her.
Colette I pray your husband will get along just fine, and the TIA's will not mess with him to bad, and I know I do not want to experience that dumping syndrome!
I pray everyone else is doing great.
Brenda
Today I am 31. Ugh. Just one foot closer to the grave. I used to think adults were silly for not wanting their birthday to roll around when I couldn't wait for mine. Now we REALLY know who the silly one was!
Jan, I'm having a hysteroscopic myomectomy. They will remove a fibroid from the inside of my uterus by shaving it down and taking it out through my cervix. Luckily, I won't need any incisions or stitches, so recovery will be quite quick. On Monday, I have an ultrasound to make sure there is only one fibroid, and to see how big and deep into my uterine wall it is. Hopefully the news is good, and we can proceed with surgery as planned, rather than having to change it to a lap or open surgery.
Well, I have some cleaning to get done today. Have a great day!
Pamela
Happy Birthday July.....the only birthday I have had trouble with so far was the big 40 and that only lasted about an hour Now, I'm 48 and live every moment I can to the fullest! I have wasted too much of the time God has given me on this earth so I try to enjoy every minute of every hour now!
Hope you enjoy your day! God Bless you and yours, Deb
Jan,
You have to post the squash soup recipe. I made it today and it is soooooo good. I ate a bowl and have lots left to take for lunches next week. I went to the Indian Restaurant/store today and they didn't have the curry paste I usually get but I got some and it is OK. I ate there and that was a disaster. They had a buffet and it was awful. I ate some and left and before I got four blocks I knew I had to find a bathroom quick. Went to McDonalds by the Battlefield Mall. I thank God for McDonalds lots of times!!! I shopped for about 4 hours. Didn't buy all that much, got a new cell phone, my contract was up and my phone was acting funny. I just strolled around. Good exercise. I didn't do the gym today. On my way home last night I got rear-ended and was sore today. Thank the Lord it didn't do much damage to my car and the man was so nice. He called me later to be sure I was all right. I will go to the gym tomorrow. I had to water all DH's plants tonight. He loves his flowers, not as many as you, thank goodness. We didn't get any of your rain. It is so dry. Wish we could have a soaking rain. The hydrangeas wilt so fast I can't keep enough water on them.
Hugs and love to all the Missouri folks.
Lana
My business has grown somewhat, but the reason I want more space is 230 square feet isn't much room to spread out and that's what I have now. Also I'd like to be in a different area and I'd like to do my caging situation different. where dogs would have more like little "rooms" than cages and a play area too. But that's just a thought and it takes more room to do it, plus it would be AWESOME to have a washer and dryer there at my shop instead of hauling laundry home every night.
