T.G.I.F. WHATS HAPPENING!!
Well yesterday was a bust as far as getting anything done to the truck. We had called them and they had said to come in today for them to look at it and then when we get there it is we would have to make an appointment to have it worked on , good grief. What did they think I had already done.
Anyway went on over and saw daughter and son in law and took them out to lunch in Eureka Springs.
Then stopped and saw my brother. The one that does all the native American drawings and paintings on gourds. They are beautiful . If you would like to see some of his work email me and I will give you the web site he has.
Craig: So happy to see you at home. Take your meds and sip sip and sip some more , try to get in what the outline says to do. I know it isn't easy but try buddy. Know that we are all still praying for you to heal up quick and get rid of that pneumonia. Cant wait till you report your first big weigh loss. Lol
Pam: how was the movie with your daughter? Hope you enjoyed it , you needed a distraction from all your problems. Are they being resolved now? Can be very frustrating when they all come at once.
Linda: can you believe it is almost here. I am starting to get butterflies in my stomach. Lol Not scared just excited I think. Long awaited gift that you don't know exactly what it is but you know it is going to be good. Sure hope I get out of surgery before you leave for home would love to meet you.
Im sure Craig will forgive you for not visiting. Our brains sometimes overload when we have to many things to think of all at the same time lol
Melissa: Hey I love the new pictures on your web site. How did you do that ? That is neat. Now you need a new one here on the message board too.
Yes I love that we have so many good Christians on here and they know how to get on their knees and plead our cases to Our Lord. Loved your post Just a Breath away. Beautiful.
No we never got any of the rain yesterday either. It was all north of us.
Barbara: let us know when the book gets published I would love to read it. I have always thought that my poor life with all the abuse and hateful things that happened to me would make a good book, wasn't a good life when I was living it but would sure be exciting to read about lol
I have written a gospel song that has been published and recorded. But was a one song wonder lol
I didn't write it either , God gave it to me . I woke up singing it and didn't realize until later that it wasn't a song that I had heard a lots of times. Lol God gives you answers in a form that you can understand doesn't he?
Marcie: wow sounds like that is a nice way to get the vacation . Not a bad trip either is it. I have heard of the pokemon game but never knew how to play it.
Is it a tournement that they go to Ca. to play?
Yes kids sure have a way of growing up and soon will be moving out. Two more ??? Whew too much for me. I like my peace and quite too much I guess, I love the little boggers but it certainly is hard work.
Collette: you didn't get back on yesterday after the docs appointment . What did the MRI show? We are all wondering how Mel is. Please let us know.
Seems like we have some people missing here lately. I hope they are off on vacations and such and no problems .
My sister should be posting on here soon one of these days. She finally got her computer upgraded to be able to do more. Some of you have met her .
Pixielf: hope today goes better for you at work. And there should be something in the way of jobs coming up for you soon. Do you get a Sunday paper where you live? Keeping you in prayers about this.
Hope your day goes great and stay hydrated and cool. Maybe some will be lucky and get rain.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Jan, the movie was cute...not something for little kids because it's kind of scary, and the plot is weak in some places, but it's a kids' movie, and I found it enjoyable. It was set on Halloween, and that's my favorite time of year.
Except for actually PAYING for everything, all our problems are pretty much taken care of. We got the taxed paid on the truck, but had to cash advance extra money from our credit card to do it. Took out yet another credit card (0% interest for 6 months) to finance the air/furnace/water heater replacement, and we have 12 months no interest on our washing machine. I figure that by January, all the EXTRA stuff will be paid for, and we can start working on the pre-existing debt after that.
As for my insides...I'm having surgery next Wednesday, but it should be okay...a simple outpatient, one day recovery procedure. Then I'll have to wait for the OK to try for that baby. Until then, I'm TRYING to remained focus on getting down to 199 (or less if possible). So far, that end of things isn't going too well. I need to get back to work (I work in a school) so that I can get back into my routine. SOOO much easier to eat healthy and exercise when there's a plan in place for the day.
Glad that Craig is home, hopefully those antibiotics will knock his infection right out of his body. Elizabeth's (Pixielf) situation makes me want to throttle someone, and Melissa's weight loss is really coming along. I guess there are good things and bad things each day, aren't there?
Okay, this was a long note, gotta stop now.

I'm getting excited, too. I was talking to my husband at breakfast this morning and going over the things we need to do before I go to the hospital--boy, I don't know if I have enough time to get it all accomplished! I can't say I'm scared yet, but I understand that will come along soon. Right now, I'm just wanting it to be over so I can be a loser like Craig! If you're not out of surgery by the time I leave the hospital, Rick said he'd bring me back the next day after he gets off work. We'll meet some way before you go home! My doggy-sitting is about over! Thank goodness. My house is a total disaster! One of the dogs has managed to chew up 3 straw baskets--one of which my father-in-law made many, many years ago! I was sick. He died in 1991 and there are no others showing his work. This dog also has somehow gotten stuff off our kitchen table and chewed it to smithereens. He even managed to get a package of tuna off the cabinet and chewed it open and ate as much of it as he could get his tongue into and eat. He is really an onery little bugger! I was told he was house broken, too--NOT! I don't care how many times I take him outside, he comes back in and poops on my carpet! This is really getting old. Oh, well, like I said--it's almost over. Of course, I won't tell my brother any of this because he'll just feel bad and I don't want that to happen. I'll smile and say it all went well and there were no problems. That makes for happy brother-sister relationships! Gotta go run some errands. Just remember--we're almost losers!
Love, Linda
Good Morning to you Jan the Early Bird and Hi Eveyone!!
I was in bed by eleven thirty last night which is not usual for me, but I have another task today to do early so I can get back in here before the heat index is too much to bear. Jan about the book I think that is why it has been so hard to write because when I get to the hurting parts it's sort of like re-living them again and that causes tears, etc. So eventually it will get done hopefully before the end of this year, so when it happens yes I will let you know .
Glad Craig is home and resting, and Jan I went to the Passion Play in Eureka Springs Umteen years ago and loved it just couldn't take driving the up the mountain the car seemed to be on the edge of the road (scary). Linda it's close Wow where has the time gone just realizing it's gonna happen the WLS is sometimes overwhelming in a good way. To Everyone have a beautiful day and stay cool.
Got to get out of here so I can get back and out of the heat.

Gooooood Morning Ya'll
Looks like we might get some showers today, I hope so, we do need some more rain around here. With all those storms we hardly got much rain here. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I got my computer fixed lol I ended up reformatting it. The crazy thing just wouldnt boot up for me, I dunno why its never done that before. I called tech support and called and called until I finally got someone that halfway cared about helping me. After I explained to him what it was doing he suggested reformatting it, I really didnt want to do that cuz of losing alot of stuff so first he said try going into safe mode and bam, that worked so I was able to get in and back up things I didnt want to lose. I reformatted last night and worked on adding things back and downloading all the updates and drivers and wooohooo now im back online
Yay!!!! It's so great to see Craig is home!!!! Like everyone else I really been keeping him in our prayers.

Good Friday Morning Everyone

Were going to the Drive Inn again sometime this weekend. Sunday I am going to go back to church. Not really alot planned but trying to squeeze a few extra thing in before we take him home.

I hope you all have a great day!!!

Melissa
Hey all! First off...Hello CRAIG! CONGRATS on you being home, okay and done with the surgery part...still keeping you in my prayers as I do the rest of you!
I haven't been posting much but been trying to keep up with your alls postings! I got a doozy of a headache....was tamping in some extra T-posts (fence posts) to sturdy up my fence, trying to keep my dogs in and the fence post driver slipped or something and I caught it with the top of my head. Got a small bump the shape of a avocado (always gotta be food, don't it?) and it stings like the dickens. Thought I knocked myself out for a few seconds there but I got it together enough to get back to the house. Good thing I didn't hurt myself any worse, I was approximately 150 yards from the house and didn't have a phone, walkie or nothing. I walked back to the house and realized that I left my keys in the truck which was back out where I was working and I was locked out, had to walk back and get the keys and back to the house...called my son as soon as I got in and had him come over and stay with me until my hubby got home.
I didn't dare try to drive back, we have creeks and ponds all around my house....wasn't sure I was wasn't gonna pass out so I hoofed it, staring at the ground right in front of me the whole time and totally focused on getting myself into the house and by a phone, I made it..."footprints in the sand"
I may have a light concussion but I hear that there's nothing really that docs' can do. I just need to take it easy for a few days. I hate that because I have company coming in the weekend and I like my house being emaculate and it ain't there yet! Oh well, if they don't understand then they aren't the friends I think they are.
Hubby threathened to take away my post hole driver if I wasn't more careful...lol. Next week, I'm using the skill saw to trim some paneling, just kidding, I'd like to but I'm scared to death of it...besides hubby said he would do it for me. I think I worry him....lol Love & Prayers, Deb
These past few weeks have flown by.. We bought a new van.. well not new new.. its a 2003 ford windstar and only has 41,000 miles on it. Its great and the kids love it.
I am still working on getting my surgen to call and do a peer to peer.. it feels like everyone is tip toe around everything. I had a spell with my b/p last week but I am doing better now. Just have to keep taking my meds and keep it down.
It is good to see Craig is home.. Congrats on being a Loser!
