When I was going to Nutrisystem, {one of my many zillion times} they let us count Crystal Light and decaf tea with sweetner as water. I was looking at post on nutrition and they were talking about Crystal Light, but never said anything about counting it in place of water. So you know my question - can we count these drinks as water ? I am not a water drinker, and never have been so if I could spice up my water a little it would help me. Thanks for any advice. One more thing, how do you post something as a HOT topic ? Thanks a bunch! Brenda

Brenda... Yes you can count this as your water intake.... They don't like us to drink caffeinated drinks and they normally will NOT count those types of drinks towards our water intake as caffeine normally dehydrates you. But other types of drinks such as Crystal Light, Koolaide, etc. ARE counted... Hope that helps~ Pixielf~

I can't answer you question because I haven't gotten that far yet. I can say that thank God I love my water though. Crystal Light makes my kidneys hurt, slim fast does too...don't know why, just one of those weird quirks I guess. As for water Brenda, you can tell them what my hubby's stepdad use to tell his Drs when they told him he needed to drink more water. Tha****er will make ur pipes rust!!

Just to add a quick note...Walmart (the superstores have a better selection) carries a knock-off brand of Crystal Light that is WAYYYYYY cheaper. It's $1.77 for a tube of 5 mixes, or a box of 8 individual servings for water bottles. They taste just as good and are so much easier on the budget. Pamela
