Wednesday Whats Happening

Wednesday. Can you believe that? I only have 19 more days to go till my surgery. Oh my gosh!! My kidney infection seems to be responding to the meds already. My back isn't hurting nearly as bad as it did. It feels like only 2 people back there stabbing me now instead of 7. Lol Everything seems to be clearing up tho so I am just thankful that God gave me the symptoms that I wouldn't ignore so I went to the doc. In time. My gosh our Mo. Board looks like one of the busiest ones around. That is so good. It has taken on a life of its own. That is great.. Im proud that all of you are posting and letting everyone know what your needs are and how you are feeling. I talked to Craig again this afternoon and he was feeling just fine. Said he was running a temp but they didn't seem too concerned with it. He said he wasn't hungry and felt like he was feeling really really good. It just makes me feel so confidant in Dr. H. and his surgical abilities. Wow look how long I slept last night. I went to bed at 10:30 and awoke at 5:00 am. That has to be a record for me . Rachael: How did the appointment with your doctor go. What did he say? Or will you have to come back to see him again? I have always wanted to have my picture done at Glamour Shots but just have never done it. They might even make this old woman look pretty. Exotic Animal Paradise is such a neat place . Did you know that had been sold and was going to be no more soon. I think that is such a shame. But I guess time moves on. Colette: Thanks so much for going to see Craig and All else that come thru Sedalia. Keeps you sort of busy doesn't it but you are like our official greeter of the OH Missouri Board. LOL. Well I guess I need to back up and clear something up . I think when Craig ask me to be his Angel he said and I will be yours if you want. But he nor I never said anything else about it and I ,being the old lady I am, had just forgotten he had said that. I will ask him today when I call him if he wants to be my Angel and Im sure he will say yes but if not I will let you or Sky know. Ok.? No harm no foul .You are such an awesome person with all you do , work, caring for you husband and visiting everyone on the boards and all I don't know where you get all of that energy. Sky: glad you got to meet Craig. Isn't he a sweetie? Did you get all your running around done? Days Craig said you were a really sweet lady and was so happy to meet you. Linda: Did you get to go by the hospital and meet Craig too? Your time is coming up really fast now. 15 days. When we were counting in months, days and hours now can be counted only in days .I feel so much more confidant now that Craig has had his surgery . I don't know why but it just seems like ok now it is soon my turn. Yea!! Andrew: so your Sponge Bob friend is fine and soon it will be you. I use to watch Sponge Bob too when I took care of my Great Niece all the time. That was her favorite cartoon and she still really likes him a lot Barbara T: You are next in line. Can I take your place ? Lol only 11 days to go . WOW We are going to have recruit a new bunch of pre-ops after August. But then we will have Andrew, and Benny Sherr, Honey, and others to be coming along and we will be the old post-ops lol Reporting all of our wow moments. Keep praying and soon you can run. Pixielf: I am so very sorry that you are having to go thru such times right now. It sounds like they are determined to make you so miserable that you will quit for some reason. Do they think you were just taking off to be off and not sick? Have your doctors to fax you the whole of your medical records and take it in and plop the thing down on their desk . With your proof you could probably get them for a lot of stuff , that just makes me angry that they would treat you like that. After all you have been thru. So sorry and I prayed long and hard for you last night in my prayers. We will just believe that something will happen for a new job soon. Look in some different places than you normally would. I know how it is to be caught in the trap of having to have the paycheck and hating the job. Thank God that I don't have to do that anymore. Melissa: Do you really think it is wise to put off seeing the doctor another month about your hernia? If it is hurting a lot it means it is getting strangled and you could wind up having emergency surgery any where but where you want to have it. Ask Elizabeth. We will just pray that all will work out for you bu****ch it and be on alert that if that starts hurting more you should see about it. Have fun on visiting your family in Ark. Hope the new born arrives while you are there. We will miss you while you are gone. Oh yeah when you call the next time and say it is Meme then I will think I am talking to myself. That is what my grandkids and a lot of others call me too is Meme. Only they spell it Mimi when they write it .One of my grandsons called me that when he was little and it has just stuck. Now a lot of people call me that too. Tressia: it wont be long until the hospital over there gets their certification now. And then you will be a go for surgery too. That will be great. You come back more often we miss people when they aren't here daily. Brenda: Oh my gosh I have tried several times to like yogurt. And for some reason I just cant seem to like it. I can get a small thing of it down if I have to but it just about does me in. I think every once in awhile that I will try it again to see if my taste buds have changed but no such luck. Maybe after surgery I will like it then. Now I like frozen Yogurt that is great but that is different. The regular stuff looks so good and it just doesn't want to taste good to me. Lol sort of like butter milk . Yuck Yes it is getting closer and closer for all of us . August is going to be a busy month for Collette, Sky and Linda that live in and around Sedalia. They will become regulars visiting at the hospital. Then I hope we will have more on the boards that will be later on. Lana: the recipe I sent you is a tried and true recipe. So I guess we can post the both of them for everyone when ever you want. I am going to try the one you sent me with curry powder and red pepper flakes to see how it turns out . I guess you made it all the time with the curry paste. I will get some the next time I am in Springfield. The coconut milk will be something that we can have after surgery so anything that is made with it will be fine as long as the other things in it or ok. I know you are very anxious for your daughter to get moved closer to you so that you can see her and grandson more often. Is your grandsons name Adam? I assume. How old is he and is he your only one? The meeting in September for anyone we will got to somewhere close there and have some coffee or what ever . I don't know what is close by so Lana maybe you could find a place for us ok? And we can get everyone to say who will come . Will be fun. Marcie: Just keep coming on the board , something will open up for you some way . And beside we will miss you if you don't. And I would love for you to come visit me in the hospital . My surgery is the 14 so maybe if you want you could come see me. I would appreciate it very much. Make me feel loved for all of you to come check on me. Lucky: how did you sleep study go and when is your surgery . Let us hear from you. Sherr: glad you made it back home fine. That is a bit confusing what all happened wasn't it. Will they not let you get those test down where you live and send the results to them up there? That would save you lots of time and money. Did you tell them they need to schedule them all on the same day or something if you have to come back there .That is what I like about Dr. H. all of the testing he wants done is done the day of pre-ops don't have to run around every where doing flips for them. I sure appreciate everyones prayers for my Kidney infection. It really seems so much better this morning. My back is not near as painful and all other symptoms are almost cleared up. Will continue to drink lots of water and take all my pills . We are going tomorrow morning to have our truck checked out . And get the front end lined up and all. I think we need new shocks on it too it has been riding sort of rough lately. Told hubby that I don't think I want to ride all the way back from Sedalia bouncing after surgery. Good morning everyone! Hearing the news about Craig is so uplifting -- it will be great to hear from him when he feels like getting back on the boards -- straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak -- although probably a better analogy will soon be straight from the pony's mouth! My sleep study went fine, but for the fact that I think I was more tired after it was over than when I went in -- so many d#@% things stuck to me it felt like I didn't get any sleep at all -- study that! The sleep study was the last pre-op thing I had to do -- once my doctor faxes test results to MO Bariatrics I'm good to go. They don't schedule a surgery date for you until you have the results from all that stuff in. Because of some other stuff I have going on, right now it actually would suit me fine for my surgery to be at the beginning of October. However, once everything is in to Dr. Scott and if they call with something earlier, it will be very hard to resist.... Everyone have a great day, and pixieelf, hang tough! :ninja:

Yes, I got to see Craig yesterday evening. I guess I just missed Colette by about 45 minutes. After talking to Craig, I really feel much better about my surgery! I am getting so anxious. I start my 1000 calorie diet on Monday. Then on the 3rd of August I go for pre-ops and on the 8th I'm starting the liquid diet. I'm doing an extra day of liquid to make sure my colon is really clear and the mag. citrate won't have to work so hard! I don't know if I'll get back to the hospital to see you, Jan, after your surgery on the 14th. I am scheduled to leave the hospital on the 14th. If I'm getting around OK I'll try to get in there the evening of the 15th. My husband will bring me if I'm feeling OK. Go**** is sooooooooooo close! Better get busy. That means that's weight and inches that I'll never see again after August 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JAN... wooooohooooo that infection just doesn't stand a chance with all of the prayer warriors on this board! Be gone nasty bacteria ...and get the heck outta Dodge !!!! (ok just a figure of speech there... no slight intended comparing you to Dodge!) *g* So happy to know you are feeling better!!!!! I put in a previous post how I wish that I could just travel around the state and visit all the new postops as they are in the hospital. It would be so cool... make little baskets of goodies... things that are needed... jello's, soup's, lotions, chapstick, etc. Just little silly things that could be used or something to bring a smile to someone's face. Kind of like a Bariatric Pixielf~ Visiting and spreading good cheer...*g*... ok ok I have officially lost it eh? Everyone have a grand day! I am getting ready to gird my loins even stronger today... I don't know what to expect at work any longer. I'm sure that more S$%^ will come my way today no matter how hard I try... so I will be watchful and ever more so on my toes.... Good Morning Everyone: Wow its been awhile sine I have been up this early. And yes 7ish is early to someone that usually doesnt go to bed until around 1am. But I couldnt lay there any longer my back was begining to hurt. My plans changed once again. I wont be leaving to go to my parents house today. Some thing came up so we are going to postpone it until next week. Plus that a good thing for me. This give me another week with my nephew, He will get to go to an all day VBS, & we can take him to the Drive Inn again and see Cars & Pirates of the Carabain (sp). I already calle dmy mother and his G-ma and they were okay with it. I think my mother was disappointed but thats just the way she is. So needless to say your stuck with me the rest of this wee****il around the 3rd of Aug. I hope you all have a great day. Hi Jan and MO Board! It is a very good day today, just got back from an appointment with my heart doctor and had a good report, BP is still a little high but should be okay for surgery and he said my heart is really good for the surgery so I'm happy about that. You know little things keep popping up to try and make you worry whether it will keep you from having surgery and I sometimes find myself going "boing boing" and trying not to start weaving baskets lol. Jan I would gladly give you my day for sugery only if I could have surgery tomorrow but I'm trying so hard to last until the 7th myself. I'm going to pack my overnight bag for the hospital today to make sure I have the necessities ready, and stay out of the heat and work on my book may be one of these days I'll get it fininshed. Glad to hear that Craig is fine and up and about, please tell him hello for me and that I am still sending up timber for him. Everyone please have a blessed and gorgeous day! Just a quick note to let ya'll know that my computer decided to bite the dust last night, Im seeing about getting it repaired but it may be a day or two before that happens. Right now Im at the library up town but I cant stay on here long so I'll just make this brief, so no worries if ya dont see me for a day or so. I'll sure put craig on the prayer list at church tonight, that devil just isnt gonna give up trying on Craig, but our God is an awesome God and WILL come thru. Brenda I've tried that generic brand of Crystal Light that walmart sells, I truely cant tell the difference from Crystal Light itself, I keep stocked with that stuff.
