Well now I know what was causing me to be so sick. I have a bad Kidney infection. Dr. wanted to put me in the hospital for 24 hours and push iv antibiotics to get this started clearing up. She said that if we don't get it cleared then the surgery will be put off. Sure don't want that so I need everyone out there to pray as hard as you can that I get over this quick. And then deal with the yeast infections I will have from the antibiotics lol. Im just thankful to God that I realized that I was sick this far out from surgery. Another praise to Our Lord about Craig yesterday. I think I was holding my breath and had told myself somewhere along the line that if Craig pulled thru this then I could too. If he had not of done fine I don't think I would have had the surgery really I don't. You know Brenda was talking about not having a Angel. I don't have one either. Anyone want to volunteer? I hate to ask anyone to do it for me as I never want to put any one out of their way for me. I think the days are going to fly by now that Craig has had his surgery. You know I think my back is already feeling lots better so that must mean that the kidney infection is starting to go away. Today we are going to get the cabinet doors back on the cabinets in the guest cottage and Joe is going to get the faucet on the kit sink. I found a cute little round table to put in there with a couple of wooden chairs. They don't match but that is ok. I am going to paint it all because it has quite a few nicks and scratches on them and I think it will look really cute too , going to put some paintings on the corners too. Pixelf: So very sorry that your first day back was so bad at work. Please really look for another place to be during the day as that sort of environment is nothing short of toxic to your mind and well being. Know that we all will be thinking and praying for you to find new work. Collette : I feel sorry for you and the jug of (go lightly) I remember those days and telling people they were going to have to drink that much of that horrible stuff. I really do think the Mag. Citrate taste pretty good. I don't have a problem getting it down and it does do the job. Especially if you have a clear liquid diet all the day before too. Quite a discussion on here about this stuff wasn't there. Lol Tell Craig Hi for all of us when you see him today. Give him a gentle hug too. Sky: sounds like you had a tummy full of that stuff too lol one good thing about the mag citrate it is cheap and you can get it at the dollar store for 1.00 so works good and cheap too. Cant beat that. Sky tell Craig hello for us too. Im glad that you will be able to go see him too. Wish I could . Linda : Im glad that Dr. H. changed his mind about the Go lightly cause I don't think I could have gotten it down , In fact I know I couldn't have. I have tried it before and haven't been able to do it. I have always just used mag. Citrate before surgeries and they never knew the difference . Lol Linda wont be long now till your day a little over 2 weeks. So when do you go from your pre ops? I cant wait for all of us in August to get thru with all of this Lovely Lana: I didn't recognize you for a minute with your blonde hair. It looks cute . You are such a pretty lady anyway, inside and out. That it wouldn't matter if your were bald you would still look cute. Yes the coffee after a meeting sounds like a great thing. Maybe in Sept. would be nice. What does everyone that goes to the Springfield support meeting think? It would be fun to have coffee or water afterwards and get to know each other a little better. Thanks for the new recipe .It sounds wonderful. Did you ever try it with just curry powder and red pepper? Sherr: so sorry you didn't meet up with Becky at your surgeons office. That would have been nice. How is your hand doing. Funny how we can do stuff to ourselves and not really know how it was done isn't it. Are you putting ice on it? That will help the swelling and pain some. Hope you had a safe trip home. Andrew: that was neat that your pcp sent you a copy of the letter they sent to Dr. H isn't it? I assume that my pcp sent one to Dena. I have ask Dena if she has everything she needs in my chart and she said yes it is complete. I didn't even have to ask my pcp to write one , Dena and the girls in the office did all of that for me too. They really take care of you there. Brenda: LOL that story about your husband and the go lightly and the septic tank was so funny. I can just imagine a guy doing all of that .Especially a Mr. Fix-It type. Melissa: thank you so very much for calling me yesterday. I was feeling pretty badly when you called because of this infection ,so if I sounded rough or gruff it wasn't at you believe me sweetie. I was really glad to hear from you. It threw me for a loop for a minute I had to figure in my mind which Melissa. We have 3 Melissa's in our family and I have You and another friend named Melissa. Lol so had to go thru all of them before I put your name and voice together. Lol. Yes you be sure and post when you leave is it tomorrow that you will be gone so everyone will not worry about you. I hope your Dr sets you up for a date to repair the hernia you have soon as that can really be painful. Glad you had some pain pills to make you loopy and help with the pain. Lol Barbara T: yes I know what you mean about the closer it gets the more you see that needs to be done. But I have learned one thing in life it is to take it easy . It will be there later. No rush. Lol Retirement agrees with me 100% Love it. Yeah I had thought that it could possible be nerves causing me to be sick even tho I have never been that type of person, it can always happen to anyone. But when the back continued to get more and more painful Sunday I knew it had to be a Kidney infection really before I even went .But needed the antibiotics prescription. Lol. Looking forward to meeting you too in a couple of weeks. Becky: aka Lucky so nice for you to finally come out of hiding. Lol and I promise no lawyer jokes , cant promise that from everyone but if they are offensive to you Im sure they will try to remember that. Some really good friends of mine have a Sheltie. She is beautiful and a very loving dog too. Im sorry you didn't get to meet up with Sherr. She sounds like a hoot. Was nice that you looked to see if she was there when you got a break. Yes that is the way Dr. Hornbostel does the pre ops at the hospital in Sedalia too. I think that is so neat that we don't have to run all over creation doing all of those different meetings and that they have them all set up for us. Oh yeah when is your surgery? Is it next week on the 31st? Will someone let us know how you are doing after surgery? We get antsy when people we know have their surgery and we don't know how they are for several days. I hope all will go well with yours. Deanna: glad you made it back home ok. And I know your mom is more than glad that you are back. I bet she was lonesome for you while you were gone. Sweet honey: glad you are joining us on the Mo. Board . So you are another one of our August babies too huh? On the 31st of August is that right. Im glad you have your angel now. And she doesn't live too far from you . I know we are all so very glad that Craig is ok and doing well . I hope that both Colette and Sky get to go see him today and can tell him Hi from all of us. Be sure and let him know that we are all stiff praying for him to have a speedy recovery and get out of the hospital on time. I am so happy for him that he came thru this. He said the other day that when he lost weight and got the trach out he was going to get a makeover. Lol He is quite a guy . Cant wait for him to get started on his losing weight and being able to move better . Today is going to be a sort of quiet day for me now . Im drinking lots of water and my cranberry juice too and taking my antibiotics so I will hopefully get better quick , Just pray for me that I will get this out of my system soon. And it wont interfere with my surgery. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS; JAN

A quick good morning to all! Jan, I didnt know you did not have an angel. I thought way back Craig had volunteered for it. Well, I will be your angel and it would be my honor. Do you accept me? Sweet lady, please take it easy today and allow yourself the leisure of laying around and taking care of your body today. Please put all else on hold. I am glad you found out what it was, because I dont want your surgery to be postponed. I will post more later today after I return from the hospital this afternoon to see Craig. Colette

Good Morning Everyone Just got back from my morning walk. It is a lot nicer out there then when it was over 100 in the daytime. LOL I am going to get ready to go see Craig and get the oil changed in my truck. Jan I never had an angel so I don't know what they are supposed to do but I would be more than happy to try and fill the job for you. But you will have to tell me what my duties are and I will do my best to try and fill them for you. I hope everyone else is doing ok. And I would like to say hello and welcome to all the new ones on the board. Glad to see more new faces. Well I will more than likely post again after I get home, but I have a whole list of things I am supposed to get done today. So take care and God Bless you All. Sky

Jan, I sorta jumped the gun. I volunteered. Then I see Sky did too. If she is home all the time, it might be easier for her to call. Dont know if I work then or not. I plan on coming to see you anyway. You decide. We are all going to be praying and watching your progress anyway. Colette

Good morning, Jan, and all the MO board friends, My surgery is 15 days away! I go for my pre-ops on August 3. They told me to bring a snack because it was going to be quite a long stretch. I am really getting excited. I plan to stop by Bothwell this evening and check on Craig. I only live about 6 miles from the hospital. Hey, I don't have an angel either. Jan, I would be your angel, but I will be getting out of the hospital the day you are having surgery. I would be willing to try it if you'd like me to. Let me know and we can compare scars when we see each other! I already know that mine will be bigger than yours! LOL I can't believe it, I stepped on the scales this morning and I've lost 9 pounds and really don't know how. I have been drinking more protein and that way I don't snack. For some reason, it seems to fill me up and I don't really have any cravings. It's time for me to go exercise, so I'd better go. I'll let you know how Craig is after I see him this evening. Love to all and God's blessings, Linda

Good Morning Ya'll, My goodness everyone is getting an early start this morning. Looks like its gonna be a nice day but kinda on the warm side again. Jan you silly gurl you better take it easy and get that infection outta ya, it always seems that ole devil likes to throw a few last min things at us. Thanks so much for updating us on Craig, I know so many were sitting on edge praying for him, it was wonderful news when you told us all he was doing fine . Yes that was really cool of my PCP, like i said yesturday, he usually waits til the last min to do anything but then he is very anxious for me to have this surgery. I got a bit concerned about something I read in the letter, he listed the things that are wrong with me and one of them is Coronary Artery Diease, I never knew I had that. I've never had a heart attack or chest pains, I was hospitalized over night once with a bit to much fluid around my lungs and heart but went home in less then 24hrs after being givin lasix by injection. I hope that doesnt put up a red flag for surgery . Oh well, I know God is in control. Hahaha Sherr, yeah that was my chia pet hair doooo, after my shower yesturday it came out like that LOL or like Deb said my "Andy Afro" LOL I can only dream of having that much hair again lol. I started losing my hair at an early age, by time I was 25 nearing 30 my hair had receded quite far lol. Collete and Sky, please tell Craig his Sponge Bob buddy said "hi" and is still praying for him. I wish I lived closer so I could go see him but its so awesome a couple of ya get to go and check on him in person, Im sure he'll love that so much!!!! Sherr hang in there gurl, I guess some doctors require alot more then others. I've been to 3 different ones trying to find the right one that would take medicare and right now Dr. Hornbostel has been the easiest to get into. Im not sure what insurance you have and all but there are a few doctors in st. louis that do the surgery plus Dr. Scott in columbia has an office in St. Louis (Bridgeton area) and uses De Paul hospital which would be a couple hours closer to ya. Anyway, hang in there and dont ya dare give up!!! Deb lol you and your hubby pick on each other reminds me of my wife and her brother, they are both such jokesters, esp her brother, he is always pulling practical jokes lol I love it tho, no use having a dull boring life now is there? LoL Weeeeeeeell ya'll have great days, I cant wait to hear updates again on Craig after Sky and Collete get to see him. Bless Ya'll Andrew
