Back from Columbia

I just got back from Columbia a bit ago for pre-op seminar that MO Bariatrics does -- I don't know if other doctors do same thing, but this was essentially 5 hours packed full of info -- nutritionist/doctor/psychologist/nurse.... It actually turned out to be pretty interesting -- very practical info, plus a bag of samples to bring home. The only downside was that Sherr and I did not get to hook up -- I stuck my head in the waiting room when we had a break about half hour prior to her appointment, but no Sherr. And the next time we surfaced, a bit after noon, I checked with receptionist and Sherr was finished and on her way. Another time! Okay, my confession to all of you is that my name is Becky :secret: -- Lucky is my dog -- as I said from the outset, I've never been a messageboard user so I was wary of putting my name in -- think I'll continue the sign in as Lucky though -- she's a very smart (and beautiful) Sheltie, and she might have something she wants to say! The news about Craig is awesome -- it is going to be very encouraging to see all of you who are lined up in August go to "the other side." Jan -- I'm a lawyer for the federal government -- no lawyer jokes -- I can't imagine anyone has one I haven't heard! I go for sleep study tonight here at hospital in KC -- once that is over, I will have completed all of the pre-op diagnostic tests that Dr. Scott ordered.

Becky... Welcome to the board! I did not have my original surgery with your group BUT I did have my emergency surgery (kinked bowel/obstruction) with Drs. Del LaTorre and Dr. Johnson who ARE in that group. They rock! Hopefully you will get that coveted surgery date in the near future! Welcome to the Missouri board! E~
