Another Sunday morning. This month is about over with , I cant believe how fast that went. I just hope and pray that we don't have anymore triple digit temps. In just one day of nice temp and a good ground soaking watering most of my flowers are looking alive again. Some of them their leaves are a little scorched but they look like they might make it anyway. I hope so. I gave them plenty of water yesterday and at least it was standing in puddles around them not steaming up around them. Craig: Yippppppppeeeeeeeeee I guess you are up and at em this morning. Getting ready to drink your delicious drink later today. I never minded that stuff too much. I always get the lemon lime flavored one and get it good and cold and it isn't too bad. A little salty but not bad. Lol. I am as excited for you as if it were me I think. Good luck Buddy just know that all of us will be praying for you tomorrow morning. And I will call to see how you are doing and let everyone know. I know at the hands of Dr. H. you are going to be just fine, and life as you know it now is about to change. So hang on to your ,soon to be smaller, hiney and you know the support you will be needing is right here with all of us. Hugs and kisses from all of us. Andrew: good to see you . Yeah my sleep schedule , if you can call it a schedule , has always been a mess. I have had problems sleeping all my life , and I mean all my life. I remember my mom saying that I didn't sleep well even as a new born. didn't cry just didn't sleep. Tell your wife I feel sorry for her. I know myself that if I had gotten sleep like other people I might have accomplished a lot more in life. Lol Well I guess we will just have to do without rain , seems like it just passed us by completely. Oh well as long as I have my trusty water hose. Lol Sky: I am so proud of you about your walking. Did you ever in a million years think you would be walking that far this quick, You are an inspiration to us all that are getting ready to have surgery . I can see Craig in about 2 months walking 2 blocks and just smiling and saying I can do it , I can do it. Lol. Me too for that matter. I can do a lot of work that maybe a lot of others cant but I cant walk far at all . The pain in my hips and legs is just too much. About the most I can walk right now is about 50 feet and I am hurting , by the time I walk back that 50 feet I feel like my legs are going to collapse. I don't think anyone should take offense to the term "city people" in the context that you are using it in. It isn't meant as a mean term , just a word to describe the people who don't live in your area full time. And yes I know what you mean about them. The ones here , we call them weekenders , do things that I know they wouldn't do at their homes. Colette: we are all praying that Mel gets better and begins to get some pep back. Take care of yourself so you are able to take care of him. Glad you are able to take those walks now , that helps with your weight and also with the stress. Brenda: good morning girl. Well it wont be long for us now. Craig is starting us all off tomorrow morning and we will be going one after the other. I cant wait myself and I know you are anxious too. To be able to sleep and to move with out so much pain. Pain has become almost a way of life to us that we are going to feel so much better just from not hurting so much. Deanna: Have a safe trip back home, and get back on the board when you get home and let us know . Do you live with your mom? I assumed you did. Hope she is getting along well with her new knee. Im glad you and Cody had a nice visit with your brother. Now back to regular life huh. Barbara: that is too bad about your friend but thank God that she is ok physically. Cars can be replaced but not people. Yes the ones of us who have a good and sweet and loving spouse can always find something to thank God for cant we? Sherr: be safe on your trip today. I know you are excited to be starting on this part of your journey. Glad you will be taking your computer with you. Enjoy the day and trip as much as possible. After we lose weight maybe driving that far wont be too bad. Hugs to you and we will be thinking about you girl. Lovely Lana, cant wait for the curry recipe. It sounds good too. I love curry . Your doctor sounds like a great man. I sure am glad that they finally got you're a.c. in your office fixed .have a great day . Karen S. and Lucky D. glad to have you on the boards with us. Found out that David and Wayne are both ok. Melissa called them and Wayne is busy with his wife and family and David is just recouping from his surgeries. Hope both will say hi once in awhile when they get the time. As Melissa said to me now I know how all my chicks are doing. This Missouri Board is a rocking board and we have all become so close as if we have known each other for ever. Like family and in a sense we are. We are a chosen family , we chose to become one. So take care my family and keep us all informed of what is going on with you. If you are new to this board just jump right in and tell us your daily problems , not that we will be able to solve them but we can pray with you about them and listen when you need someone to talk to. . LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS. JAN

Hey Andrew!!! (((waves back)))) Yes, I am here...what did I EVER do w/o my computer. LOL I made it in exactly 5 hours But if I'd driven the limit, it would have taken a (lot) longer.... I am so proud of Craig, and I KNOW we will hear from here pretty soon. I know what ya mean, I was just at the seminar, what on 7-8? But, I know I could go into the consult and be required to have numerous additional testings, so we'll just have to see. Andrew, I share your misery about Breakfast. Since moving back to my childhood hometown, and buying a home 9 from my parents, Sunday mornings were beginning to be a ritual. About 6:00 a.m. mom would start breakfast and I'd go over and set with my dad and drink coffee and read the paper...then she'd fix eggs, turkey bacon, biscuits and gravy, sometimes pancakes too....I love biscuits and gravy!! I have really tried to cut out sugar the last 3 years, and totally cut it out when I decided to take this journey, but a LONG time ago, I discovered a SF Maple Syrup that is soooooooooooooooooooo good, it makes ya wanna slap somebody!!! Joseph's brand products are the BOMB...he has these little tea cookies that about about the size of quarters...and the syrup tastes exactly like MAPLE syrup..the "REAL" maple from vermont! AND ZERO AFTER TASTE... GOSH, what have I done??? I WANT PANCAKES NOW.... IT's allllll your fault Andrew... Just kidding....well, back to eating my plain ole salad.... LOL I hope to be home rather late tomorrow night...so I will post when I get there OR if it's really late, on Tuesday... Come onnnnnnnnn Surgery Date XOXO ALL Sherr

Sherr... MmmmmmmmmMmmmmMmMm I gotta find some of that syrup....I loveeeee pancakes. The breakfast you'd go eat at ya moms sounds like what my grandmother used to fix me when I'd spend the night with her as a kid.....oh man i'd live for weekends to spend at grandma's!!!! lol No wonder I need surgery now LOL. Have a great day tomorrow, tell that Dr to give ya a close surgery date lol Lucky sooooon oh so soon you wont be able to say "I'm the fat one" lol. You go girl!!! Andrew

Good morning -- the weather is great here in KC this morning -- it's nice to go outside and not feel like you're having the breath sucked out of you! It turns out that Sherr and I are both going to be at Missouri Bariatrics Monday -- her for her first doctor's visit, me for pre-op seminar. We are going to keep our eyes out for each other -- I told her I'd be the fat one....! I hope everyone has a nice day and that everything "comes out" okay for Craig! :haha:

Lucky Hey g/f! I am here.... I drove to the Doctor's office earlier today I am actually staying pretty close. I just went to Fazzoli's and got a salad to go and tea.... It is a small looking complex, so I bet we will run into each other. Hope to see you tomorrow! Sherr

Jan, I just love your morning "what's happening". You are such a neat lady. I really appreciate that you take the time to let everyone peek into your life and make us feel so welcome. It is such a bright spot in my day to read your posts. Thanks for being a constant positive light on this board. I really enjoyed meeting you in Springfield and am so happy about your upcoming surgery. You are in my prayers. Dannielle

Hello, Jan, you lovely lady, Ism't the weather glorious. We are lovin it. Exercised at local gym today as my one at St. John's isn't open on Sunday. After that charred some hot dogs for lunch. We're having stir fry for dinner tonight. Yummy!! I put some stuff, jewelry, up on eBay but haven't had much action yet. Time will tell. Melissa: I'm missing your pretty face on the board. I hope I got my picture up on my signature page today. Hubby helped me. It's a blonde one. I prefer myself as a red head but this is the picture I have already on the computer. Soon will be time for all of us, except Jan, to be together in Springfield at the meeting. Know you are still losing and getting tinier by the minute. Is this the weekend your little buddy goes home? One of these days we're going to be having a baby shower for you. There are lots of ways to get babies, even if you cannot have one yourself. We'll be praying for that miracle for you. You'll be such an awesome Mommy. Benny: Where are you? To all the rest of you, have a blessed rest of the day and I'll keep you close in my heart and hold you up in prayer. Lana

Hello everyone, Well, it is evening and I am late posting. Been busy today, went to church and then went to walmart and grocery store and that sorta took care of the afternoon. Been thinking of Craig, and all. Hope all goes well. Jan that drink is not just a bottle you buy at store. You get this gallon jug from pharmacy and fill it with water half way and get it cold and drink that. Is that what you meant. Yes it is salty but it does the trick. I am so happy his day is tomorrow and soon all the rest will follow. David please take care, we want to see you get well. All of the people posting, please keep it up as we like to know how you are all doing. God Bless each and everyone of you! Colette
