Friday once again. Seems like there is one every week any more. Lol . We worked all day yesterday on the cabinets in the guest cottage and about have them ready to put the hardware back on. They really are looking good. Cant decide what I want to do with the back splash area but will come up with something I know. Just a lot of work left to do in there. Not big stuff just a lot of little things to make it look nice. We have also decided to go ahead and take out the old bathtub, sink and toilet and put new ones in now, rather than wait until later. That way I can have them move stuff around before we put new flooring down. Well hang on kiddos they say we are going to have a cold front come thru. Lol. 85 will feel like a cold front after the heat we have had . I cant wait until it does .I have had enough of this stuff for awhile. I bought some wasp spray yesterday and Joe spayed and killed those red devils yesterday for me. I hope he got them all. That is the first time I have been stung in years and I guess I got careless around them. It is still red and swollen and itchy this morning but is better. I have a spot on my leg where they both stung me that is about 6 inches around that is raised red and hot. But that is mild to what it use to do. Sky: congratulations on the 60 pounds that is great. In less than 2 months you have lost that and the best thing about it is that it wont be back. Yea!! And on top of that you haven't even had all of the surgery yet. Lol You are doing great. I would think that when you go back in for your next check up they would go ahead and put you on the list for the rest of the surgery now. Be careful on those early morning walks. I cant wait until I can walk as far as you are doing now. You sound like you live in an area about like ours is. Small subdivision by the lake with some of the houses only occupied once in a while and a few living there year round. Cant wait to meet you. Brenda: Glad you got up and let that little one out for awhile. Lol Might not have like the results if you hadn't . Yes your surgery is coming up pretty fast now too. Mine is 3 weeks and 2 days now. Wow.23 days and I will be fixed . LOL that sounds like I'm broken , well in a way we are I guess. Sherr: So glad that you have your consult date. Be careful on your way up to Columbia, Hope you come away with a surgery date lined up. I love the show "So you think you can Dance too" I use to be a Ballroom dance instructor for Arthur Murray for quite awhile and was in Dance competitions . That was part of the job was to take part in these large comps. You talk about hard work , Dancing and doing it right is hard work. I never had a weight problem when I was doing that. I hope to get back to dancing once I get this weight off. Not to that extent but to at least for us to be able and go dancing. When Joe and I first starting dating I taught him how to dance and he is really good. Very graceful. Don't know that we will ever be up to the style we once were but will take what we can get. Lol But that is one thing we are both looking forward to being able to do again. Andrew: Yes when we come to go climbing on Elephant Rocks I will be sure and let you know too. Maybe we will just have a big get to gather of all of you on that side over there. That would be fun too. Elephant Rocks was always a favorite place of mine when I was growing up in Fredericktown. Teenagers it was always a neat place to go for a days outing. Pamela: No I hadn't heard anything about the storms going thru St. Louis until later in the morning yesterday. Sounds like you all got it pretty bad. I hope you weren't affected to badly where you were. I think they said there were two killed. And 80 mile an hour winds. Isn't that a tornado? I found on a wls site a 10 day plateau buster for when you get stuck on weight loss. It says do this for 10 days. 1. Drink 2 quarts of water daily 2.you must have at least 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/mineral supplements each day. Some suggest at least 60 and up to 80grams of protein. 3.You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods: 5 times a day Beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb, fish, eggs, lowfat cheese, cottage cheese , plain yogurt or artificially sweetened., peanut butter, beans /legumes. You may also have sugar free Popsicles, tea or coffee, sugar free Jell-O, broths crystal light drinks. If it is not on this list you cant have it for 10 days. Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise . I don't know if if will work but I am going to try it when I hit that plateau like that. Good luck Colette: Yeah we are going to keep you and Sky pretty busy coming to visit all of us in Sedalia soon. Starting with Craig on Monday. Hope the results of the MRI are what you are wanting . Your fresh veggies sound really good. I make a butternut squash soup with shrimp and curry and coconut milk that is so so good. Sounds a little freaky but it is one of the best soups I have ever eaten. And easy to do. You don't have to put the shrimp in it but it is great if you are a seafood freak like me. Melissa: You are probably feeling so emotional because of having to take baby boy back home and you are going to miss him and then on top of that you wanted to reach a certain number on the scale for your 3month goal you had set for yourself. Cut yourself some slack. You are doing fantastic. I know you and Terry one day soon will have your own family one way or the other. I can see you making a wonderful mother. You have so much love to give ,not only a child but everyone. We all love that pretty smiling face of yours. Marcie: We are so sorry about your rejection on wls from insurance. But don't give up there may be something just around the corner for you. I know I went thru several rejections and turn downs and road blocks before I found how to do it and a lot of people have had years of searching for a way. At least you are young enough that you have time to maybe find the way. We will all pray that somehow , someway it will happen for you. Craig: was good talking to you last night. Did your caretaker, Jeff get home all right? Well it is only 2 more days ARE YOU READY???? I am really beginning to worry about David and his not posting . I think I will call and see if I can find a phone number for them in Branson. Wayne: Brenda have you heard anything from him too? See how you all worry us when you don't post. Please if you are going to be gone for a few days or something please let one of us know ok. I just love all of you and get worried when I don't hear from you. Take care and is suppose to be a little better today. Hopefully we are waiting for tomorrow and those cold 85 degrees. Lol I put a picture of our back yard with snow all in it on my computer screensaver yesterday. Thought I might make me feel cooler lol PEACE AND JOY AND LOVE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning Jan and everyone Well it's a little cooler out there but it's still pretty sticky out. I just got back from my walk. I am thinking tomorrow's walk will be a lot cooler. LOL Jan I am glad those nasty wasp didn't do anymore damage to you than they did and I am glad you DH got them killed off for you. Melissa I think Jan is right you are depressed from the thought of your nephew going home. But I also agree that you will make a wonderful mommy and that one day you will find yourself being a mommy. I don't know if there is a medical reason you don't have one of your own yet or maybe can't have one of your own but you know there are other ways to get babies. There are a lot of children out there that need a good loving mom and dad. A friend of mine couldn't have kids so the Dr.'s told her and they adopted a 4-year-old little boy and about 6 months later she was pg. LOL Now they have one of the cutest families I have every seen. So don't get so depressed and keep your hopes up and keep praying and listen for God's answer. It may not always be the answer you want but he will answer you. "Craig" wow just a couple more days. I am going to try and come see you on Tuesday, as I think you will be more awake and feeling better then. I know on the day of my surgery I didn't know half of what was going on. LOL Just kind of out of it. Well I hope everyone is doing ok. I am sorry I can't post all of your names but that doesn't mean I don't think and pray for each and every one of you cause I do. I really think each and every one of you are a very special person. And May God Keep and Bless Each and Every One of You. Sky

Good Morning everyone, Yeh, it is storming and raining here so Praise the Lord. And especially since I dont have to go out and water today. There is nothing like rain! Talked to my daughter Jean in St. Louis last nite. Actually she live across the bridge in Collinsville, Illinois and they had 50 mile per hour winds but did not lose any electirc or tv or anything. However the story on the other side of st. louis where she works at St. Anthonys hospital was a different story. Much devastation, losing of power, water and trees with 80 mile per hour winds. she said at the hospital they were placed into a Disaster Code number 1. VA hospital got hit hard and other hospitals had to take in different patients. She had to get through the hard hit areas to get to work. It was not that she could stay home as she is Manager of the Pharmacy, and they would come and get her if she could not get there. She said if it had reached a Code #2 she would have had to stay there. Well, Craig. The Lord bless and keep you! I know he will. I will be there to see you Tuesday afternoon God willing. If things stay at home like they are now or if I can talk Mel into coming with me, I will be there. Agree with Sky, that Monday is not the day to visit you. Jan will let us know how you are doing. God will protect you and the surgeon and all and keep you safe. Jan, your trailer sounds in better shape than my house. Think I will have to hire you and bring you home with me. Ok???? Sky - great work. keep up the weight loss. dont forget the body takes rests and that happens. When have you ever lost 60 pounds in 2 months? I cant wait to see you. To everyone on here, have a good day. Trust in the Lord and he will give you the answers. If I hear results of MRI on Mel, I will post later. Colette

Jan and All, Praise the Lord for cooler days. It went from 83 in my office yesterday to 67 this AM. Don't know if they fixed the air conditioner or if the cooler night and morning just gave it the boost it needed. Whatever it was I am grateful. Nothing exciting going on. Just wanted to say Peace and Love to Craig and that I'll be praying for you on Monday. I know it must seem almost unreal that the time is almost here. And Jan, only 23 more days. WOOOHOOO!!! Please send me the Curried Squash soup recipe. I make a chicken, onion, potato and peas dish with curry and coconut milk that is out of this world so I know I'd love the soup. And, with shrimp. YES!!! Hope your weekend is great. I don't get on as much during the weekend but I'll for sure be back on Monday. It seems so recent that Craig was almost ready to give up and now he's having his big day. God is so good. Love you all, Lana

Good Day to you all, I would like to say it's very cool where I am only about 75 degrees and 30% humidity but I can't tell a lie, it's so hot I'm not even planning on going outside. I really do pray one of the side effects I have from wls is being cold all the time. Way back when I was in my 20's and 30's I was cold all the time, but look out when I was 39 I had to have a complete hysterectomy and then I went to a pain clinic for a while and had steroid shots in my back and I started gaining weight so fast that I was outgrowing my clothes so that I think I was in a new size about every 10 months or so. I couldn't understand how come athletes took the same steroids and they got muscle and all I got was fat, the difference I guess is I'm a woman, w-o-m-a-n! Oh well such is life I have always loved to eat and after losing all my hormones I just didn't burn it off like I used to. And that's my story and I'm sticking to it. You all need to check out the post I put on it's called "eye halve a spelling chequer" I thought it was appropriate seeing as how "some of us" think that little bug that looks like a miniature lady bug is called a "BEATLE" just kidding! But you need to read it because it is funny! 27 days left for me to become a big loser Brenda

Hi all. Man is it nice and cool here today. Woke up to terrible thunderstorms here at my brother's this morning but it is only 68* outside now so I say WOW! especially since Rob and Cody are going to the Royals game tonight. I just got off the phone with Mom back home and she says the thunderstorm we had here this morning has made its way to St. Louis. Not exactly what they need right now. Especially considering Mom just got the electricity back on LATE last night. She called me hysterical the other night. She had fallen asleep and didn't know the electricity went out. When she woke up it was pitch black in the house. Since she had a total knee replacement the same day Elizabeth did she was scared to go wondering around the house in the dark to try and find a flashlight. She was afraid she would fall. I ended up calling one of our neighbors and he went over with a flashlight to help her out. Thank God for neighbors. She ended up going up to my aunt's house until this morning. Well Craig, your day is almost here. You will definantly be in my prayers but I am sure the good Lord will be watching over you. Have a great day all and a fantastic weekend!!! Deanna
