Hello to all my Missouri OH friends
HOT! HOT! HOT! The air conditioner in my office is still not working well. It is already 80 in here. They say another month to get the part. Hope the predicted cool air gets here soon!!! I had my psych evaluation yesterday and it went well. She said I am a good candidate for surgery, motivated and compliant. YooHoo!!! It seems a long way off until the first part of next year but time really flies by. I'm so excited for all of you having surgery soon. If I could go to Dr. Hornbostel I'd be tempted. It sounds as if he is a great guy and all the hospital rooms are private. However, if all goes well we're not in the hospital long enough for it to make a difference whether we're alone or with a roommate. And Springfield is so close for DH and friends. I have the best news. My DD's father just bought her a house and 25 acres in North Missouri, where we're from. She's been living in Detroit area for about 4 years and needs to get away from boyfriend problems. Her Dad has lots of $$$ so he's helping her out and in the process she'll be 7 hours closer to me. Hallelujah. I have to say this is an answer to prayers that I've been sending up for a couple of years. She's had a rough life so it's good that something wonderful is going to happen to her. She's so excited she can hardly stand it. And of course I am too. We lived together for quite awhile after her Dad left and since she's my only little chickie I really am close to her. We don't have any plans for the weekend. It's been too hot to do anything outside and with gas now at $2.77 here, going for a ride is sort of out of the question too. This heat makes us so worn out. I can hardly do my workout at the gym after work, even though it is very cool there. You know I have to do the exercise for my insurance company so skipping it is not an option. I don't want to give my Ins any slight excuse to deny me. I'm slightly paranoid about getting denied. My friend from Branson got denied because her BMI was 39.4 and the bariatric person at my insurance said they don't approve anyone with a BMI under 40 no matter what the co-morbidities. Seems short-sighted to me. I know I'll have to have a knee replacement if I can't get the weight off it. Oh well, I'm just plugging along and praying for the best and hopeful that God thinks the best for me is bariatric surgery. Keep smiling and keep your *****s) up. God loves you and so do I.
