MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!
Good Monday morning. Hope this finds everyone well this morning? I was so sick yesterday afternoon . Dizzy, sweating and nausea with finally vomiting. Then it was over as quick as it happened. Don't have any idea what caused it or anything. I never throw up. Have maybe done so 3 or 4 times in my whole life. Yesterday when I made my protein shake the soy milk seemed a little off but wasn't sure but I guess that is what it was. That is the only thing that it really could have been.
Well today is going to be a busy one. We have to go to Branson to the pain clinic this morning for another epidural injection of steroids in Joes back and then on to my brothers house in Shell Knob , our sister from Texas is up and we are all getting together . It is also my brother David and sister Kathys birthday, they are twins. I made a cake like my grandmother use to always make for us kids for birthdays yesterday . They are really good. Yellow cake with 7 minute icing ,3 layers, with icing and bananas in between each layer, then with cocoanut spread over the top of that. Lol Not but a few calories.
Sky: that is so good that you are feeling that well. I cant wait to join you in feeling good.
We are so proud of you about the weight you have lost. Keep up the good work. Wont be long before you are able to walk down to the lake and back with no problems.
Did you get the picture I sent you this time?
Rachele: How are you feeling today? I hope so much better. We are continuing to keep you in prayer. We all know that God can take care of all of that. Your kitchen will be so pretty when it is finished
Andrew: glad you finally got your picture up. They make it sound simple in the instructions but don't know why it isn't. It is awfully hot out now. Temp is 94 here so what ever that makes the heat index. It is miserable , I am staying inside most of the time.
Barbara T.: Will be looking forward to meeting you on the 7th. I know it might not be the best time in the world to meet someone but will check on you and report to the board when I get home that evening. I know how you feel about being nervous and excited. I am not scared just excited . It wont be long now.
Craig: ole buddy is getting ready to have his pre-ops done this morning. And it is his birthday.
Happy Birthday Craig. I know you are excited and a little nervous, We are all thinking of you and will say a little prayer for you.
Melissa: wow the drive in movie. I think we might come over to Aurora and go to that some time this summer. Is it open only on the week ends now or what. How late in the year do they stay open too. How did your nephew like that?
Hey that is an idea about the protein company maybe they would give me some free. Lol
Elizabeth: I hope you are starting to feel better now. Do you think all your parts have been replaced or repaired or removed enough now?
Man I bet that was one scary ride from Columbia wasn't it?
Brenda: I think they release you about noon. I hope I feel good and if so I wouldn't mind hanging around for a little while but if I don't feel good im sure I will be ready to try and get home. We will have to try and get together at least for a little bit . Maybe we could come to your motel room and meet you.
My birthday is January 30th.
Sherr: hey there everyone was wondering where you went. I'm sorry I didn't realize you had a teenage son. I use to live in Jonesboro at one time and use to go to Memphis quite a bit but always hated the trip. Only went because a real good friend lived there. Good to have you back
Rest up.
Marcia: how interesting about the horses. I have never heard of that type. They sound beautiful , would love to see them someday. My brother is a trainer and breeder of Halter show horses. His name is Joe Darnell.he lives in Gainsville, Mo. And my sister who lives in Conroe texas shows registered quarter horses. Her name is Kathy Lee
Don't know if you would know them or since they are different types of horses. I bet you cant wait until your surgery so you can get back to riding. I know my sister when she has a big show coming up will go work out at the gym.She says it helps her sit right.
Carol Price: You havent had surgery yet have you? If I remember right you have medicare too right. Have you been to see Dr. Hornbostel yet?
He is the only one that is doing Medicare in the state right now as far as I know. But I did hear that Barnes hosp in St. Louis is suppose to be starting soon.
Debbie Murdock: we will all remember you in prayers . Hope you get to feeling better. The round you had with all your dogs ,if it wasn't so bad it would have been most funny. Loved it how they all lay down next to you , that shows that they think of you as the leader of their pack.
Really I read that in something. That is one of your goals when you are trying to train dogs is to make them know that you are the leader.Isnt that right Debbie?
Sounds like the walkie talkie thing is needed.
Well here it is a little before 5 and been up for an hour again. I sure hope when I have surgery that I will be able to sleep better. Anyone sleep habits changed since surgery?
i HAVE 4 WEEKS TO GO TILL SURGERY. YEA!!!!
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Good Morning, Jan & Company!
Jonesboro, that is funny..that is the town where we usually go "Saturday shopping" it is 45 minutes away from here.
Yeah, my boy is 6'5" and 15 years old, he just keeps growing....my ex-husband was really tall. That is a subject I don't ever talk about, so moving right along....
I don't expect the "Perfect Life" to occur after I have surgery, I'd just like to feel better ya know?
I'd consider it a success if my pain is less than it is today.
Hope everyone else checks in...
***Waves good morning at everyone****
Have a safe trip w/ Joe...and come back fast
Sherr

Yes Jan as the time gets closer we will definitely have to set up something so we can meet.
Our wedding anniversary is the 30th. I am going to go to Poplar Bluff today and start getting some food I will need after WLS. It seems that time is crawling to me right now as for as my surgery day getting here.

Jan.....
Sounds like the milk that you mixed your drink with was a bit blinky.... sorry that you were so under the weather yesterday afternoon but very glad that you are feeling better today. Sounds like you have a full slate of activities going on today for sure!
Rachael.... hope that things are going better for you too... what all are you doing to your kitchen?
Just sitting here and reading about the horses got me to thinking about my past when I was younger. I grew up in the Ava area which is the worldwide home to the Fox Trotters Association. I grew up on a farm so I was always on horses period, but I was also lucky enough to be close friends with girls whose parents were way up there in the horse association clubs. So I was able to get to ride some of these top notch horses... ahhhhhhhh those were the days.
To this day I get all giddy just nuzzling against those soft velvety horse noses... giving kissies and whinnying to them softly. I just love horses...anything to do with them! Paso finos are so beautiful to watch and their ride is excellent. I have also been able to watch the Royal Lippanzanner (sp) stallions and their gaits are phenomenol as well...
Horses horses horses....
Everyone have a great day! I am holding my own... thank goodness for pain meds!
Keep cool~~~~
Elizabeth
Good afternoon all! Things are good here but man are they HOT!!!!! I don't even have to go outside to know it's hot, all you have to do is look and listen to the AC pumping its heart out. I hope Craig is having a fantastic birthday (he shares the day with my brother). Let us know how the pre-op stuff went, ok? You know I was looking at the medicare website the other day and it appears that DePaul Health Center in St. Louis has there COE also. Looks like they might have gotten it before the one in Sedalia. Don't know for sure if they are doing the surgeries for Medicare people or not but for all those with Medicare in the area, it might be worth checking out. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Stay cool.
Deanna
Hey Jan and Everyone,
Good day to you all, it is terribly hot out there and I'm in for the rest of the evening, had to take my DH for his visit to the Doc today. Isn't it funny how things just crop up out of no where, my DH and I have been married for 27 years and this man has never been sick, and now he has a hernia, but he's not going to have surgery until after I'm up oin my feet after my WLS, so keep him in your prayers. He always thinks of me first, I wish he would think of himself once in a while, but I'm blessed to have him for a DH. You all have a great evening and try and stay COOOOOOL. Tell Craig happy birthday!
