Sunday Morning Whats Happening:

Another hot and sultry Sunday. Bad news is the weather man says about another week of this unbearable heat, Good news is that God has seen fit to let us be alive another day. I now have 28 days left till surgery day. WhooooHoooo. If I didn't send you a picture of the jug of protein powder that we have all been talking about and would like to see what it looks like so you will know it when you see it send me your email address and I will send you a picture of it. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Lol. I applied seven dust to a lot of things yesterday ,hopefully that got rid of the few Japanese beetles that were in my flowers. It makes the flowers look awful for a while but if it kills those boogers it is worth it. Sky: did you get the picture I sent you of the protein powder? This one you would love the smell, especially of the Rocky Road it smell only of choc. The cookies and cream one smell just like cookies and cream ice cream. There is no Whey smell to them .It is fantastic it really is. I keep wondering how they make it taste so good when other powders I have tasted are so nasty. Glad you are still walking every day. Are you able to walk farther now than when you first started? Colette: Are you having to stay home from work with your hubby, or is he able to be by him self for that long at a time now? It really does sound like TIAs to me too, but Im not a doctor . Will they be able to tell with the MRI? I am praying that you get some answers soon. I know as a nurse that is a factor of needing to know what is causing this. If you know then you know how and what to do right? Great news about your daughters up coming surgery. So mother led the way in this one huh? Thanks for the prayers on upcoming surgeries. Barbara T: you have surgery on the 7th that is the day I come up for my pre-ops. If you think you might feel like it I will check on you before I go home that day. Then I can report on the board how you are doing when I get home. Would that be ok? Tressia: So you are a fellow gardener? There is nothing like fresh tomatoes is there? I confess I don't have much of a veg. Garden , most of my land is taken up with flowers. I do have several tomato plants and some squash on a fence ,so I don't do a lot. I cant wait for you and next year too. It will happen , just in Gods time . Brenda : thanks for sharing about the medic alert bracelet. Good info and might save some trouble down the road someday. Well I guess I was completely wrong about medicare surgeries being on Monday. Lol I guess I thought since mine was and Craigs that they might all be. Brenda I wish yours was at least on Wed. and then I could see you before I went home. I will leave on Wed and you will have yours on Thursday. Are you going up on Wed to spend the night before your surgery? Maybe if you get up there early enough you can come over to the hospital to see me before I leave. Would love to meet you. We are going to share two birthday months together. January is both of our birthdays,(physical) and August or re-birthday. Marcia: What are Paso Fino horses. I have never heard of them. Of course there are lots of things I havent heard of. Are they a special breed ? Do you show them ? I sure hope you find an insurance policy at your husbands work that will pay for the surgery for you. I was going to self pay if Medicare hadn't come up with the bill to pay for it for older people. I didn't know how or where I would get the money but I was going to do it. I even thought about going to Mexico if I had to self pay. There are some highly skilled and great doctors there too and the price is about half of what it is here. Plus in the price includes a week stay in a nice hotel on the beach lol. Well will get this posted. I woke up in the middle of the night again ,wide awake so decided to post on the board..I am getting sleepy again so will probably go back to bed soon and sleep another 2 hours. That is my normal night. No wonder I am so tired all the time. Jan no I didn't get your e-mail with a pic in it. And yep I'm still doing my walking. I am waiting for it to get light out now so I can take my walk. To many wild critters around to walk in the dark. And yes I am walking a lot further than I used to be able to; I didn't use to be able to walk to the mailbox with out having a hard time. Now I walk around two of our country blocks and then back up the hill to get the mail. LOL I can't believe how much better I feel. I haven't felt this good since before my car accident back in 1992. My DH says he's worried I am going to over do it. I was thinking about walking down to the lake and back but he thinks it's to soon. That would be about 3 to 4 miles in all and very much up and down hills. So I guess I will wait till fall maybe, at least then it won't be so dang hot. LOL I hope that 7 dust gets rid of those rock and roll guys out of your flowers. LOL Sorry just couldn't help that one. Colette I was so happy to hear your husband is home. You and him are both in my prayers. And so is everyone else on this board. Sorry guy and gals, I'm not as good as Jan I can't list everyone. Just know you are all in my thoughts and prayers, and I think each and everyone of you are very special. Good Sunday Morning to everyone...... I hope this fine everyone doing fine....I am up because my DH needed a shirt ironed for work....and now I can't go back to sleep...Nothing big on the agenda today, just going to work on some house cleaning and hopefully tear down some wallpaper in my kitchen.....we are trying to redo my kitchen...I can only work so long before the pain becomes unbearable.....I think the neurotin is helping a little more because in the last two days I have not taken any pain meds during the day....I have only taken them at night when getting ready for bed....I guess I am learning to tolerate it a little bit more during the day....If I keep myself distracted during the day I don't think about the pain...Well I hope everyone has a fine Sunday and may God bless each and everyone of you and also keep you under His arms.... Good Mooooooorrrrrrning OH Missouri!!!!! Hope everyone is having a blessed sunday morning. It's pretty nice out right now, just in from a lil walk and the humidity wasnt near as bad as it has been but its early yet. Like Jan said, the weather man said its gonna be stiffling today, thank the Lord for AC lol. Jan you silly gurl, dontcha know that self respecting chickens dont even get up as early as you were up this morning?? LOL Hopefully after your surgery your sleeping habits will change. FINALLY got my pic to work on here, now I gotta work on getting a better pic. Im gonna get a friend of mine to take a couple pics of me with his digital camera so I can have a good before pic. I agree Jan, that powder really is good tasting, it really surprised me, I was expecting a powdery taste and kinda yuck but it really ISSSS good!! Good Morning Okay I am up and out of bed. Trying to get my eyes to stay open. Had a late night last night. Went to the Drive Inn and watched Superman Returns & Click. Didnt get home until 2:am and was in bed by 3:am after unloading the car and getting everything put away. But it was fun glad I only do that maybe once a month. I am too old for these late nights all the time. lol Jan: I think that you should get ahold of the protein company and tell them as much advertiseing that you do for them. That you need to be getting paid for it. lol I am just glad to know everyone likes it as much as I do. Brenda: I really like what you have done to your profile!! Sky: Keep up the great work. Well, I guess I need to say, "Good Evening" LOL I had to take my teenager school clothes shopping in Memphis, TN yesterday, and GOOD GRIEF did it wear me out. I haven 't taken him to Memphis in over a year, and you wouldn't believe me if I told you....but: He's 15 Shoes size Men's 15 !! Wears XXXL Shirts 40x36 Jeans - try finding those He is a 4 sport kid....and the Missouri CHamp in weightlifting in his weight class, he's about 280-290 now, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find clothes big enough to fit him, in "name brands"...it's like going on a skavanger hunt We lucked out and hit the specialty stores he loves yesterday...... We left town at 7:00 a.m. and I am still exhausted from the trip! I came home, went in the pool last night, and was in bed by 8:00 p.m. Today, has pretty much been a BLUR! Didn't really hurt all day yesterday, but by the time I got a shower, every joint in my body and my whole back was screaming with pain..... But, he's worth it...so what's a mom to do? Went in the pool today, in my exhausted blur state....was too hot felt like "air" instead of water, ever felt like that in a pool? Well, I guess I am going to call it a night now, will be around tomorrow.... Peace and Love Sherr

Sherr it sounds like you had quite the time on the shopping spree, I remember when I was 15 and we lived in a tiny town in Arkansas and mom and I would go shopping in Little Rock, I lovvvvvved it. Every year mom would say " We're not doing this next year" cuz she was so tired afterwards lol You have a great night and get ya some rest. Stay outta that heat!! Andrew
