BIG QUESTION ABOUT PREOP APPOINTMENTS

Could someone tell me if anyone has been turned away from surgery due to preop tests like EKG's, Blood work etc etc? I know if lost some weight.....Ive been sticking to my diet great.......but, I was told that you can be turned away ...This is the only scarey part that Iam having about the whole WLS.....I know Ive turned it over to Jesus and its just the devil putting this questions to me....but I still cant help to be concerned...............Craig Lee

Craig.... The preop tests that are run are done as a final clearance to see if your body is fit to undergo the rigors of surgery. Yes there can be instances where findings on these tests will push back a surgery date. It has happened but it is pretty rare. Even if this were to happen to you ...it is better to know that there might be a potential problem then to forge ahead with surgery and run the risks of complications. Try not to let this bother you... which I know is easier said than done. I was a bundle of nerves myself leading up to my surgery. The morning OF my surgery I was calm and collected though. Not a bit ruffled or nervous. Just let things go and let God carry you through... he is always with you! Elizabeth~ (hugs)

I thought you had already left . How long of a drive is it to Sedalia for you? Did you get your car fixed? Good luck. We will just have to pray that everything is ok and that God knows what is best for us. Jan
