WEEKEND'S HERE WHATS HAPPENING

Another weekend and more heat. I don't know when this heat is going to end. It is really bad out. I am up early this morning to try and get the rest of my stuff fertilized. I only have the front yard left to do. The flowers out there are less stressed than the back yard because they get lots more shade . I have baby tadpoles in my pond out back. I guess the frogs that I told you about are really happy with the environment I created. They are starting to develop legs but still have their tails stage. Very weird to watch. My morning glories that I planted on the pagoda have reached the top and are going across the rafters now. Very pretty, I have all colors planted and it in the early morning they are just beautiful. The pinks and blues and whites and yellows all mixed together. Hope the heat doesn't ruin them too soon. I hope everyone has a great weekend and don't get too much sun Marcie: LOL that picture I caused you to see was really funny. I never noticed how I spelled the word Beetle. I don't know that I could or should use bug spray on Beatles . So the cats were the villains who messed up your computer huh? Those Darn Cats.!! Wasn't that a movie? It is always a good thing to laugh and if we can laugh at ourselves that is good too . Melissa: yes I can tell the difference in my eyes already. couldn't yesterday afternoon since they were dilated also but when that wore off I could tell the difference right away. The gray areas are all gone. Praise God for modern medicine. Eyes are important. No Brenda hasn't found a new protein Powder I sent her a sample of what we are using. The powder that Wayne gave you a sample of. I hear now folks that super wal-marts has the powder altho not as many flavors . So Sky , Craig anyone else look at super Wal-Mart's. Barbara T: You don't have long to wait now. You are two weeks after Craig and I am 3 weeks after Craig. Seems like everyone that is Medicare is being done on Mondays at Dr. H's Is that true you think? I bet you really are anxious to see your son. That is neat that he has had the surgery. He can help you. Barbara Studt: The reason most of us are going to the same Doctor is because we all have Medicare and it is the only place that is Medicare certified. But he is a great doctor too. Hang in there your day will come Im sure of it. Just may take some time but it will happen. Craig: Im excited for you. Almost as much as if it were me . Lol I am not really nervous about the surgery are you? I figure that if it is my time to go I will and if it isn't I wont. I don't mean to sound flip about it but I just mean that if God decides its time for me to come home that is ok with me. And if he leaves me here and lets me go thru the surgery fine then that is ok with me too. I will do Him proud. Satan loves to attack us , especially when we are having doubts and fears. So therefore I refuse to be fearful or doubtful. I know that God lead me to this place and to this surgery for what ever is his reasons I don't know but am willing to take what ever happens. Andrew: Well I see we finally have a picture of you to look at. Quite a handsome dude. Yeah I know that getting started can make you feel crazy sometimes about meetings and all. The notebook is a very good idea, just don't forget it and leave it at home like I did . Lol I think I remembered a couple of questions I wanted to ask but couldn't for the life of me remember the rest. I hope nothing much will hold me down after the surgery. I hope my arthritis gets so much better so I can walk and skip and run too. wouldn't that be great? Brenda: hope you have no problem finding the Protein powder. I got the psyche eval myself. And I ask them up front if they accepted Medicare. Some of them do and some of them don't. Do it on your own and you will get it done faster I think. You only have to see a psychologist don't have to see a psychiatrist. No Medicare doesn't pre approve but they don't refuse to pay them if it is medically necessary. You have to have high blood pressure, diabetes, or something like that .Dr. H said they hadn't had a case where Medicare wouldn't pay. I guess if they don't I will be paying for the rest of my life on it. Lol. I couldn't get the attachment for the picture of the puppies to open either. Hopefully he will put it on a program that our computers recognize. Did you get your bracelet on the OH site or where? What did you pay for it? Is Poplar Bluff the closest town to you all? You might have to go once a month into the Cape or somewhere and get the protein powder. But if you go to the meetings there you could get the powder then. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning Jan and everyone else. Well I just got back from my morning walk. I kind of slept in this morning. LOL It is already getting pretty hot out there. I hope everyone is doing good if not great even. And Jan I have checked out Wal-Mart and they don't carry it. But I have to go to Sedalia next week so guess I will check there. Right now I don't like any of the protein powder I have tried. I think a lot of it is the smell; I just can't get past the smell. And it's not like we can chug it down like I used to do with things I didn't like. LOL I am hoping and praying that I get to make it up to see Craig the day after his surgery. And I am keeping all of you in my prayers with maybe just a little extra for Benny. I am praying that Benny opens his heart and lets the lord talk to him and he listens and hears what God has planed for him. Cause I am sure it is something pretty awesome. Good morning everyone, Wow! this has been a very long week for me. It started last Saturday with my husband getting sick. So the week has been so busy I cant keep up so last nite I decided to just sit and relax. My hubby is home from the hospital with still no definite diagnosis. All of the tests including the liver scan is ok. They did say there were some abnormalities on brain scan but the neurologist on Thursday did not think what they saw is a problem. I told him I was concerned about the confusionhe had on Sat and the inability to stand up and walk the normal way. He said he could be having TIA's and they sometimes last 12 hours or so and then they are ok. So now we are going to have an MRI on Tuesday morning and see if that shows something. He is ok except he is very weak. I am not going to address each one on this board individually as I would forget someone. I am not as good as you Jan.LOL Just really happy that your surgery dates are coming fast with Craig leading the pack.I dont have to tell you that all of you are in my prayers. Got the news from my daughter in Ohio that she submitted her papers on thursday and she got a call that her surgery is already approved. and she goes in one week to the clinic in Michigan( a clinic where all they do is Bariatric). She will have her surgery in August. It got approved in one day(Hey, she works for GM) What more can I say. They have wonderful insurance. Her husband had it done 3 months ago and already lost 55 pounds. Needless to say I am very happy for them. Yes, I have seen the powder in Walmart in Warrensburg. But I did not see Gold (100percent Whey _____Standard. Does it say that across the label. It was 11.95. I am afraid to spend the money not knowing if I will like it. Let me know how it is marked. It looks like a 2 pound container. that sure beats the price at GNC. Well friends, have a great weekend. Good morning Jan and everyone! Not too much planned today except to stay out of the heat. yes it will be good to see my son it's been two years it was just before his surgery. Yes time is geting close and seems like I haven't done enough preparation, I think its just my nerves though LOL. Oh by the way I see many have gotten the WLS bracelet how and where can I get one? how long does it take to get them, etc.? Good Morning Jan Or shall I say afternoon. And to everyone else. I am having a good start this weekend. The tomatoes my future in-laws planted for me have several blooms, I told them when they put them in that they looked like cherry tomatoes they disagreed with me wait till they come back for a visit. Do I get to tell them Michigianians. LOL. I don't get to do much of my own gardening right now, but wait till next year. Can't wait. yipp eeeeeeeeee. Thank God for Surgeons and family and friends to help folks like me up a very hard and difficult road that's ahead. Anyway hope you and everyone else has a wonderful weekend and try to stay cool. Good afternoon everyone, Thanks Jan for the info on the psyche eval, I will start calling them Monday. For the bracelet I went on the OH site and clicked on the tab "Store" it's pink, It's up on top with the forums tab, OH Magazine tab, events tab and etc. it's all the way to the right. Then when the store opens up, on the left there is a column that says "Shop For" click on "MEDICAL ALERT" in that column it will take you to the bracelets. I purchased the sterling silver bracelet, I think it's very pretty it's looks like a very nice piece of jewely. The one I got was 39.95 plus tax and shipping it came to $43.90 it was already engraved. We live just about smack dad between Poplar Bluff and Farmington about 45 miles either way. They are comparable in size, I prefer to go to the Wal*Mart in Poplar Bluff cause it's bigger and they can say what they want about them all having the same prices, they don't, alot of stuff at the PB store are cheaper than they are in Farmington. I think it has to do with the average income of the area. I was born and raised in Farmington back when it was a small farming town the population at that time was 7000, most people would never guess it was that small just goes to show what a prison will do for an area. I said before I think that they are building a Walgreens at the Bluff and also there is a Walgreens in Cape. When is the support meetings at Cape and where will they be? I can't remember, I'll have to go back and try to find that post. Jan you where talking about Medicare surgeries on Mondays, mine is on Thursday, I wish mine was on Monday cause I'm afraid I might have to stay in the hospital thru Sunday and that wouldn't be a good thing because DH hates to have to get someone to fill in for him at church he would probably rather make a trip home and back on Monday. Brenda My surgery was on a Thursday too. I came home Sat. morning. Just make sure you get up and move around when they say you can and walk around out in the hall. I walked from one window to the other then back to my room to get a drink. LOL Anyway I was on my way home by noon that Saturday. Take care and God Bless. Sky

Brenda, I have Paso Fino horses, and my horse trainer lives in Farmington, she has one of my geldings right now trying to sell him for me. It costs me about 200.00 in gas to go to her house and back with a horse trailer YIKES! LOL I had a fairly un-eventful day, worked hard and made 6 dogs beautiful Then my daughter and I went to see "You, Me and Dupree" it was a good movie, it was really funny. I'm going to call the insurance lady at my husband's work next week sometime and if none of their policies pay I will find some way even if I have to self pay. I just HAVE to have this surgery!
