Emergency's

Okay I need EVERYONES feedback on this. And please dont take this as a pressure to do it by no means either. I consider this board as close a family. I talk to most of you as much as I do a memeber of my own family. When I read Davids post it really put some light on a subject I have been thinking about. I wanna know who all would be interested in shareing phone numbers?? Not to call and say "Well I didnt see you post today" But for instants like Davids situation. Who knew?? We could get the emails together and make a list of a number you wouldnt mind sharing with board members. In case we dont hear from someone for 3 or 4 days. We could always give you a ring to see if your okay or if there is anything we can do (pray, post, cards, words of encourgement, ect) Okay there it is. What do you all think?? Like I said it is totally up to you all just a suggestion. Let me know what you think. We did this kind of like on another board for Christmas (we did card exchange I got over 45 chirstmas cards from Oh.com members) it made my chirstmas. Melissa... I have been thinking about that too for the longest of times.... I know that we have had issues where there have been several of us that have had things occur in our lives that took us offline for awhile and I know that it worried me to noend when I saw folks go as noshows for a long time. David's situation is just one of many that have occured. I do not know how we could set it up or even IF we could under the auspices of OH since this site doesn't promote that type of "sharing". I might be wrong but again I AM interested in trying to keep better tabs on my fellow MO board members. I worry about you guys! Elizabeth~

me too or three. I would be more than willing to give someone my phone number. I would like for people to check on me if i dont get on here for a few days. and Davids situation is just one of many of things that can happen. Who would want to be in charge of it , Melissa, since you brought it up would you be willing to collect the phone numbers. and keep tabs on everyone. but then we would also have to have yours so in case something happened to you. Maybe the two of you both have the numbers and one or the other then could call people. No one would be ask to give their number if they were uncomfortable with it so i cant see why OH would mind. I think its a great idea, like ya'll said there's times when people cant get online and there are some that have had true emergencies and cant get online. I'll be willing to give ya my number, I know I dont know ya'll all that well yet but you've made me feel so comfortable talking about myself I feel at home. Andrew

Jan I wouldnt have a problem with keeping the numbers and checking on ppls. I have tollfree long distance so that would never be a problem. I am so glad to see you all agreeing with this. I think it is a very good way to show each the support were here for. I will post my email address for everyone to send me their number too on Monday morning. Love ya Melissa

My wife does not go on the computer much at all so if I am sick I have no communication. I would give my phone number out as my wife will answer the phone. It is crummy to feel powerfess in the hospital and just like a lump there.
