Wonderful Sunday morning to you all. I just got up we didn't get home till around midnight last night and were pretty tired. We laughed and laughed all night. Was wonderful to see our friends. We could have stayed later but Joes back got to hurting him so badly that he just couldn't take sitting any more. He needed to take a pain pill and was afraid to take one and have to drive home and I cant drive at night right now, so we came on home . Hopefully after my eye appointment they can fix my eyes so I can drive at night again. I hate not being able to see really well. Well we are hoping to get started on the ceiling this next week. Want to get the one part that needs repaired done and then get it all painted. That will only leave putting in new flooring. I think we have decided to put down tile that looks like wood. Will have that old country house look . Melissa: How did you nephew like the drive in movie? I use to love them when I was a kid. Im like Colette I can remember no t.v.s either. When Daddy bought our first one we were the only people in our area that had one and neighbors use to come ever Sat. night and watch shows. Was amazing how many people could watch that little screen from across the room. Lol Did you find any good bargains at the garage sales yesterday? I love going to them but don't go to much anymore since my knees hurt so bad. Sort of takes the joy out of it. Maybe next summer . Colette: Better watch it or they will just keep working you 24/7. You know how nursing is. You give them an inch and they take 20 miles. I know they are glad that they can depend on you to fill in but they may not be in any big hurry to find a replacement . Are you done putting up corn now? That stuff is so good in the middle of winter isn't it? Craig: Ok we all understand now what you are talking about on the diet. You follow your pcps advice sounds really good to me. I emailed Dena the other day and ask her if there was a limit on size of who Dr. H. would operate on and she said no Dr. didn't have a limit but the hospital has a limit of 450 pounds. So I guess that explains the difference about some people they have told they have to lose such and such amount of weight before surgery. Like my friend in Ga. If she came up here to have surgery would have to lose at least 70 pounds before surgery even. Brenda: So sorry about your nephews loss. And I know it has to be hard on kids like that to lose their moms. One of my nieces lost her mom when she was only 8 ,she said it was really hard to grow up without her mama . I feel like you about some of these people that do such awful things in the name of Christ. That isn't the God I know . And then they hide behind the church . Maybe that would be a good place to put them is in Iraq. Yes I will add your son to my prayer list. I hope he will be safe and God will send a host of Angels to surround him at all times. Andrew: Your appointment is August 9th that is good that you are trying to lose some weight now because like I said earlier the hospital will only take up to 450 pounds. So that isn't too much for a guy to have to lose. You men have an easier time losing that we women do. don't know what that is. But it is true. That sounds like a good plan to only have one meal a day . And replace the other two with the protein. Did you buy the ON 100% Whey Protein? It has the black label. Some of the ON products are designed to make you gain weight , we don't need that one lol. We already know how to do that on our own. Sure wish you could get the picture on there. Down at the very bottom of the page on the board you will see a link for tech problems. Click there and write to them about it , they maybe can help you. Oh was going to tell you that we ate at the Hard Luck Diner last night in Branson. It was really a lot of fun. Some of those waiters and waitresses could really sing. Has anyone else been there? LOVE, JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS. JAN

A quick good morning, Yesterday was not a good day for me. It started out with my DH losing his balance and not being able to walk without wanting to fall. HE was not wanting to eat or drink much and of course as a nurse I know this is important. So I assisted him all day and said you are going to the hospital. Of course he refused, as he has had this in the past and they never can pinpoint anything. He has just never been up to full speed since his open heart a year ago. Everything is an effort. Well, to make a story short I called the ambulance and he is in the hospital. All his labs etc are normal, and they did a scan of his head last night and no signs of a stroke. We are dealing with a small hospital and I am going to talk to doc and see if they will transfer him to Kansas City. So if I am not on here, you know why. I plan on being at the hospital as much as possible to make sure he gets his meds etc. Please keep him in your prayers. Have a great day. Colette

Good Morning Family Well I am up at 6:30am this morning. My leg was borthering me and I couldnt lay there any longer. Got up too my vitamins, shots, and pill drank 20oz of water. And finished the book I was reading. I love the morning when noone is up and moving it is so peaceful out then. DH got up followed by my nephew. We went and got a Sunday paper and McDonalds. I ate 1/2 biscut with sauage. It was yummy but I am fulllllllllll. DH told me I was a cheap date. ha ha Getting ready to jump in the pool. It is sprinkleing here but not too bad. Were suppose to get rain off and on all day long so I better due it now. Gotta run to Walgreens later. The are having a sale on their South Beach Bars and since I get to start them I figured I would get a few. We were going to go to the movies last night but had unexpected company. But we still had fun. Thought maybe we would go see a movie at the walk in but will have to see. I hate paying the prices plus all the other stuff they try and temp you with before you get into the movies. Jan: I am so glad you had a good time last night. Andrew: Boy you sure are moving fast on getting into the Doctor I think that is wonderful!!! Benny: I cant wait to see you Monday. I am glad your rideing with me. Craig: I think alot of reason the hospital put a weight limit on people is cause some of their machie will only hold so much. And if you have any kind of problems they cant properly check you out if the machine wont hold the person. This is what the Dr in KC told me anyways. Which is kind of nice to know. Sherr: Did you get to meet Rose Ann at the meeting?? She is a card and I just love her to death. I am so glad she is persueing the surgery now. Colette: All that corns sounds so good to me. I went to the veggie stand and got some myself. David: Where are you at?? Wayne: Sorry you wont be at the meeting on Monday but I can totally understand why. Please tell April that she will be in our thoughts and prayers. Let us kow how she is doing. Nana Linda: Where are you sweet lady?? Brenda: Thank you so much for the email I posted it on the board. Lovely Lana: Are you going to be at the meeting on Monday?? How is the excerseing going?? Janet: So glad to hear that you made it to the meeting and that make you one step closer to your surgery. Will you be attending the meeting in Springfield on Monday?? I have room for one more if you need a ride. Elizabeth: Sorry you are haing so much trouble after your surgery. Your in my prayers. Kelly: Welcome I am so glad to see you posting. I know I am not a very open person about my private life either. But the friends and family here on the board know what I am going thro because they have experienced it themselfs. Thats what we are all here for to help one another. Patty: We will all be praying for a successful surgery outsome on your knee replacement. Becky: I had to do 6 month dieting before I could do anything also. But thankfully I having been dieting most of my life and made sure my PCP put it in his notes. Good luck you can do it!!! Alot of it is just a formality to show them that you have tried losing weight on your own. And you know what your getting yourself into. Rachael: How is your cousin doing?? I havent heard from you and have been thinking of you both. Barbara: Here is the support you need. I know when we go thro with the decision to have WLS some family memeber are not as supportive as we would like them to be. I think alot of it maybe the fear is not really understand the whole thing. But thats where we come in cause we do understand and we are going thro it also. Please feel free to post anytime. And let us know how you are doing. Marla: Girl is has been forever since I have heard from you. How are you doing?? Ardie: I think you feel off the face of the earth. I may have to send out a search party for you. Well I think I have about covered everyone. If I have missed anyone please forgive me. I am old and losing my memorie. lol I hope you all have a great day. And I will be seeing some of you on Monday. Love ya'll Melissa @}~~}~~

Sounds like you had a great time visiting with your friends. Mike, Betty & I have eaten at the Hard Luck and we have always enjoyed it immensely. The food is good, service is excellent and the entertainment is just an added bonus on the whole experience. Their singing abilities are phenomenal. We have always recommended it to anyone that tells us they are going to visit Branson. Another place that I would recommend would be B T Bones steakhouse. They have live music (singing) on the weekends and possibly throughout the weekend during tourist season, however I would call ahead and make sure of that. Their food is very good and the last time we were there we enjoyed it alot!... the gentleman that was performing was quite good and we stayed long after our meal was over just to listen to him perform. Sounds like everyone has a full slate of activities to keep them busy this weekend. I wish I could get done the things that I want to do but this knee is keeping me from them. All in good time I guess however it is really throwing a monkey wrench into alot of things. I am still battling "issues" with it... unfortunately on almost a daily basis. I knew that it was not going to be an easy fix nor one that would be painfree , however I did not bargain for the ride that I have been on since having it. Just seems like one thing after another. Arrgggggghhhh for sure. Like my dad always said... it will feel better once it quits hurting... *LOL* I will just keep telling myself that!.... Everyone have a great Sunday.... Elizabeth~

Jan and All, Sounds like everyone has had a busy weekend. I had my nails done Friday after work and then got up yesterday and went up to Springfield for the farmers market. Got corn, beets, turnips, flowers, tomatoes, zuchini, eggplant and bread. Yummy. We had a painter here all day but he finished our humongus living room and it looks great. He's coming next weekend to do the dining room and hall. He works up at Missouri State where I do and is an excellent painter - a perfectionist. So anyway I had a huge cabinet and a china cabinet to empty so they could be moved away from the wall and I just got some of that put back. I'm reading a really good book and I'm going to take a rest and read for awhile and then finish putting stuff back in the china cabinet. I'll be at the meeting at St. John's tomorrow night. It will be good to see all of you. Love and hugs Lana

Hello everyone.... Haven't been on in the last couple days I have been battling really bad with pain....my cousin is doing well...she is in a regular room, she has a little problem with her right eye but the surgeon said in due time after the swelling goes down it should be fine....they have not said when she would be released from the hospital but I just continue to pray complete healing.... I have not done much of anything the last couple days, did help my son get his room clean....I got tired of looking at it....I tell my little girl daily that when she gets older I hope that she keeps her room cleaner then her brother....It is like a war sometimes to get him to clean his room....sometimes I just walk to the door and look in and shut it...but now we have it clean it better stay that way....likely chance....hehe Tomorrow I have to be at work at 430 am to work for four hours and then it is off to Springfield for my daughters four month check up and shots and then back to Lebanon for my doctors appointment at 400pm....hopefully the doctor will have the results of my MRI, I can't deal with this stinkin' pain.....Bad thing is I have struggled this weekend because my doctor was not in the office on Friday and I could not get him to call me in any pain medicine....the new medicine that he wanted me to be taken is not covered by my insurance so I have to let him know he will need to try me on something different.....I had one pain pill and I had to break down and take it last night....Thank goodness my hubby was here because they knock me out..... Well that has been my weekend.....Sounds like everyone else had a full weekend.... Elizabeth, sorry that things are not going all that well with the knee, remember that you are in my prayers and I am praying for complete healing...When you go back to work you need to take it easy.... Melissa, sure wish I could come down there and go to the drive in, my son would have a blast..... God bless to everyone and take care of yourselves as well as your families..... Rachael
