THURSDAY WHATS HAPPENING

Good Morning everyone. Wow did I ever have a great day yesterday. Met the two ladies from the over 50 board in Mountain Home and did we ever have a good time. It was so much fun. We had lunch at a seafood place and then went back to the motel that the one girl had rented and went swimming in the motel pool and talked and talked and talked. We didn't leave until like 5 pm . We had planned on just staying about an hour or so but it seemed like meeting friends that you hadn't seen in a long ,long time. Funny how you can meet someone online and become that close to them. That was all I did yesterday. We got home just in time to watch So you think You can Dance and then we both went to bed. Melissa: I hope you are over you late night party going. No hangovers or nothing now? Lol Hope you are over your soreness too. Andrew: wow you have already gotten to the point to get your appointment with Dr. H.? That is amazing. Im glad you liked him. I do too. He is very nice but gave me the impression that he really knows what he is doing and that to me is more important than anything else. Bedside manner is good but nothing like having great knowledge of what he is doing. Wont be long now before you have all your ducks in a row and they are calling you to give you your surgery and pre-op date. Keep posting and if you have any questions I am sure there is someone on here that knows the answer and if not we will try to help you find the answer. Thanks for the tip about the ON Protein Powder. Hopefully everyone will be able to find it in their walmart. Sherr: Hi young one. You are younger than my youngest daughter. Well wish you a safe trip up on Friday. Sure wish you could stay over and go to our support meeting on Monday night. I would offer you my guest house if I had it all done . Should have it done soon and anytime anyone needs to come to this area to a meeting or anything they can stay there for free. I don't live in Springfield but only about 45 minutes away. And once you get to 65 highway it is fast going. There are lots of low cost shopping stores like you mentioned in Springfield. It is a pretty large town. I never can find my way around in it. I get lost all the time. That tells you how much of a country girl I am. Rachel: The pain in your muscles, have they ruled out fibro? That is the way it sort of feels. I have that and I hurt constantly with muscle and tissue pain. Hope they find out what is wrong soon for you. Some times just knowing what something is helps in being able to control the pain. Take care and be sure and keep us posted. Colette: That corn sounds so very good. Nothing like fresh corn. Have you met up with Melanie yet? I hope you all get to meet. Don't work to hard, at work or at home. Melanie: You are planning on coming to the meeting on the 10th here in Springfield? Wow that will be great. Would love to meet you. Can someone who knows how to get to the meeting from off of North 65 tell her how to get to the meeting on Seminole? Help anyone. I don't know how to get around in Springfield at all. I never drive there I leave that up to either my husband or my sister. I will drive to it and around it . I have never had a problem finding my way around anywhere but Springfield and I don't know why. I have driven in Dallas, Houston, Chicago ,Memphis and several other large cities but Springfield seems to me to change directions too much or something. My husband will be bringing me to the meeting on Monday night. Lol Wayne you live in Springfield don't you? Please give her instructions on how to get to the meeting please. Good Morning Everyone Looks likes it is going to be another beatiful day here in the 4 state area. I am up a little sore (back) think I laid wrong. Just got coffee on waiting for my F-I-L to supposely show up. But I know how that goes. lol No real big plans for today. Maybe run some errands, go to the libarary to drop off and pick up acouple of books they are holding for me. And got to the store for a few items. Then back home to exercise and spend some time in the pool. Yea!!! Exciting hun?? lol PLEASE: Everyone remember Paula in your prayers today. We need to lift her and her family up. I hope everyone has a good day. Cant wait to see some of ya at the meeting. For those of ya that live close enough come join us. We would love to have you and meet ya. Love ya Melissa

Morning Girls! I had to go out this morning, get a hair cut and pick up a couple items I needed in my toiletry bag for tomorrow.... I hate lugging around full size shampoos and stuff for an overnite Jan, you are so nice to offer the hospitality. I lucked out and found a room for $64.99. And I have stayed in this chain of hotels before, it's a 3 star hotel! Nice, New and QUIET and it's right by the Seminar...so I am set. I really dread the COlumbia trips, which is where I will have to go after this one time trip to Springfield. blek... Need to go water the day lilies....be back around later.... Sherr

I am doing much better thank you. I don't know why I'm up this early, I am not an early bird! I have 42 days until my surgery. I do pray after I lose my weight, which will be exactly 1/2 of myself, I will feel like doing something. All I seem to be able to do is lay in bed. It kills me to have to go buy groceries. I used to be what my husband called a marithon shopper, but no more can I do that. I know it will have to better than now, all I can do is go up cause I don't think I could go lower than I am now. Colette I will be looking foward to meeting you when I have my surgery! Everyone on here is great I wish I didn't live so far away so I could come to the meeting with everybody.

Howdy ya'll, Yeah Jan I couldnt believe I got an appoint so fast because Dena said at the meeting she thought Dr H was booked up til Sept but I was also praying and believing I got one soon. Im sure getting the stuff filled out for them online and faxing in my insurance info first thing helped. I so cant wait for Aug 9th I do have one question for those that see Dr. Hornbostel. After the Consult, is there another appointment before the Pre Op or do they give you a surgery date after the Consult? Im going to my PCP tomorrow and having all the blood work and stuff updated and will have him write a letter of recommendation. I will also have my psych. evaluation and all done by the time I see Dr. H on Aug. 9th. Im hoping by having all that done it will help speed things right along.
