MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!

Hey there ! Another start to a week that is sure to be all messed up in everyones head about what day is this? Lol There are too many holidays in one week. I think all the state offices are closed today too as well as tomorrow. So wont get any mail until Wednesday. Last night we went down to the lake and watched some fireworks being shot off by locals and some from across the lake by a house on the hill that always shoots off some great big ones. I just don't know where people get that sort of money to blow up so much .I said I wish I just had the money today that has been spent on fireworks this past week. Wouldn't have to ever worry again you know. Well I am down to 41 days till surgery. I actually have been afraid to get too excited about it. I afraid that medicare will find another loophole for me to climb thru , the hospital will call and cancel, the doctor get sick or quit . I wonder if he gets bored with doing the same ole surgery over and over? Wonder what he says when he goes into surgery? "Well here goes another fatty" Am I silly for wondering and thinking all of this? Yeah probably. Melissa: So glad you enjoyed your company. Did your f-I-l come over for dinner last night? Don't get too hot laying out by the pool. Jump in real often and cool off. Yeah im like you , sure am glad to see people coming out and posting but am really missing some that were posting a lot . Not going to try and name all of them because I might miss someone and then they would think I didn't miss them when I do. They know who they are. Deanna: so good to see you back on the boards. The new picture is very easy to do. Go to the main message board and there will be on the left hand side a place that says your name and under it says user settings. Click on that and it will take you to an area that says to replace pic. Browse an put it in spot click and you are done. Brenda: I know what you mean about things being too far, we would sure wish we could meet up with you but maybe some of us could come more toward your place and meet with you some day. Hope you are feeling better. Sherr: So glad you are getting to come to the seminar this Saturday. That is a weird day to have them I though they were during the week sometime for some reason. Your little ole men puppies is funny to me. I have a big dog that is scared to death of all of the fireworks and stuff. Good morning and hello to everyone Sorry I haven't been posting much the last couple of days. I have been popping in a few times and reading. Like I said my comp went tails up and I am using my DH's comp right now. It's a nice comp and all but I just miss mine. LOL but no way we can get me another on till fall anyway. Right now I am just trying to get everything ready for our trip to MD. I guess we are going to leave at dark thirty on Wednesday. At least that is what my DH said. Last time he said we were going to leave at that time it ended up being about 3am. So I am going to the store and bank today and then I guess pack the close up Tuesday and sleep for a few hours then get up and leave in the middle of the night Tuesday night early Wednesday morning. He said he doesn't want to drive in St. Louis rush hour. LOL Well anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July. And I wish you all the best for the week ahead, or is it the week we are in already? LOL OH well you all just take care of yourselves and have a great one. Good Morning!!!! I am awake, I am awake!! Woke up at 6:30am to my phone ringing. That will get the ol ticker thumping real good. It was my mother sitten out on her porch wondering if I was doing the same thing. My mother doesnt know the word sleeping in. lol So needless to say I have been up since 6;30 this morning. Everyone else is still asleep but not for long. ha ha ha Going to get the morning started. Of course I kind of like it when I get the morning to myself for awhile. Sernity Now!!! Jan: No my F-I-L didnt make it over yesterday. He is going to come over today for lunch. I didnt even make it out to the pool yesterday. I was so tired from this weekend that we just hung out inside. But I will be out there this afternoon. I feel so guilty for not exerciseing yesterday (head hung in ashame) Sky: I hope you have a safe trip. I understand about traveling when it isnt so busy. Hi there, I'm new to the forum and thought i'd surf through and see whats up. I been going thru the motions of getting things done for WLS since January 2006. I have medicare and in late february things were put on hold, I was with Dr. Scott in Columbia, MO and was on the verge of a surgery date. I just found out the other day that the hospital Dr. Hornbostel in Sedalia uses is now COE with Medicare, woohoo so tomorrow I'm heading up to Sedalia for the information seminar, ugh I hate to start over but I NEED this surgery. Anyway I just wanted to say "Hi". and Happy Fourth. Andrew!

Andrew, Better check on the seminar date. Dont think it will be on July 4th. I have not been to it since they changed the date to Tuesday from Wed. and the location from the church to the hospital. But I think it is next Tuesday at 600 pm and at the hospital. Any of you other Sedalia people, please let Andrew know for sure. I dont think you will find anyone there on the 4th. Colette

Hi ya Colette, I thought the same thing you did, last week and confirmed that they really are having the seminar on the 4th, I called again this morning and told the person that called I'm driving 4 hours are you positive they'll be there and she said absolutly so they BETTER be there lol She said its usually the 1st tuesday of the month and that the Dr. had no other time open or something so it was still on.

Hi everyone! Been MIA for awhile but will try to catch things up. Yesterday was my five monthaversary and I've officially lost 74lbs. I started out as sort of a lightweight, so I'm very happywith my progress. Starting to fit well into size 16s I still want to lose 66 lbs, but am giving myself permission to take all the time I need to do it. I'm finally out of plus sizes for the most part, and feeling so much healthier, so the rest is gravy. Just got back from a weeklong book tour in Florida and had to suffer on the beach--for the love of the art, you know.... Will be heading to Denver at the end of this week. Summers are travel busy for a writer! well, that's all about me. Hope the rest of you are doing well. I check in once a day, just so you know. Tracey Bateman
