protein help

Been having alot of trouble getting in enough protein.. Been eating same thing over and over and need ideas for new things that has worked for you thanks in advance.. Debi dr lopez 4/19/06 lost 24 lbs

Debi I posted tis acouple of weeks ago. I use it 2x's a day and think it is the best stuff I have ever tasted!!! Hope this works for you. The protein power is called ON 100% Whey Gold Standard. When I went to Food 4 Less in Springfield they had about 6 different flavors: Double Chocolate, Strawberry, Chocolate Mint, Rocky Road, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookies n Cream, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge or Mocha something like that. I am going to get another jug since I made a little money with the sale that way I can switch back and forth from one to the other. I wanna try the Vanilla Ice Cream. But I am sure if you live near a Food 4 Less they proabley have it there too. And you get anywhere from 72 to 80 servings for around 24.99. I was paying 3.50 a bottle for 40 grams of protein. Now all I do is mix it with 8oz of milk 2x's a day and I get 64 grams of protein. Best stuff I have EVER TASTED!!!! Love ya Melissa

Mel: You are sooo wise...I "froogled" (((you know, the Google for shoppers))) your ON Protein and I see there are several with 24 grams of protein...can you tell us goof balls, do you make it with water or milk....and to get to 64 grams of protein is that because you add milk? im not Melissa but she has a house ful of company so i dont know if she will get on here today or not. Anyway...the protein is 24 and the 8oz of milk is 8 that makes 32 grams and she drinks it twice a day with makes 64 grams of protein. You can drink it 3 times a day if you want and that would be 96 grams of protein if you are having trouble with eating food or if you are still on a full liquid diet. the "ON" protein is the best i have ever drank. no grit easy to mix. and no aftertaste. I have to use Soy Milk since i am lactose intolerant, big time but it taste great in that too . You can mix it in water but you only get the 24 grams of protein that way and it tastes sort of diluted and thin. But taste all right. Hope this helped and answered your questions. Jan

Jan, Mel & Linda: You guys are LOTS of help!!! Back in the day, (((skinny day)))) LOL, I used to drink MetRX Lite by the case, Tropical Assorted...most of these tasted like Creme Pies m-m-m-m....BUT...they have 17 grams of Carbs per shake and that won't fly right? There is 25 grams of Protein before milk and 3 sugars, but those darn carbs...LOL I live in a town of 12,000 and we only have a Super Wal-mart.... We have to drive 45 minutes just to go to a Sam's...so I knew my choices to shop in person would be limited. I think Linda has a great idea to buy her stuff before the surgery....SMART LADY! I am trying to make notes on all the important things you gals tell me...so it's not in vane I PROMISE! And FInally, MEL: I hope you and your family is having a GREAT HOLIDAY!! Debi, I haven't had my surgery yet, but I use the ON 100% Whey Gold Standard that Melissa is talking about, too. I have the Rocky Road, Cookies n Cream, and Double Dutch Chocolate. The first 2 I have been drinking since I got them in the mail. I haven't opened the Chocolate--chocolate is always good! I mix it with 8 ounces of 1% milk and shake. They are wonderful. However, 8 ounces seems like a lot to get down after surgery, so I have also purchased the Profect Protica tubes that are advertised on OH. They are great, too. They are 2.7 or 2.9 ounces each and taste like liquid jello. I figure it will be easier after surgery to get down 2-3 ounces than 8 ounces. The little tubes have 25 grams of protein each. I ordered my ON 100% Whey from www.supplementwarehouse.com. I wanted to make sure I liked it so I ordered the smaller sizes. The 2 pound jugs are $15.09 and the 1 pound jug is $8.29 each. We don't have a Food-4-Less in Sedalia anymore and we're 120 miles from Springfield. Hopes this helps...
