T T T THURSDAY....
Good morning everyone. So glad to see so many happy smiling faces this morning. Drink that coffee, and get ready for the day. It is going to be another hot one is what they say. Hello to all the new people that have been coming onto the board. Welcome, we love to see new people all the time. It means our family is growing. So come on in and get to know us and let us get to know you. We sometimes have lots of fun and you can get some of your questions answered. Everyone here is either post op or pre op so all know what you are going thru. Stay with us.
Boy did I feel rough yesterday. Don't know why I feel like that sometimes. I get so tired that it is almost impossible to even walk. Have been doing that for years but the older I get the worse it gets. Day before yesterday I felt great and then this morning for no reason it is like someone flips a switch. I got to feeling better about 9:30 pm and that usual too.
I am hoping that after surgery that will go away.
Melissa: wow on the 64 pounds lost. I think you will make the 100 pounds by 3 months. Keep it us sounds like you are doing ok. Yeah a 6 year old is a much trouble as a newborn really lol. They like to be entertained.
Wayne: I know how busy it can be with a couple of kids at home and our of school but do let us know how you are doing now and then.
Craig: glad to hear from you too. Glad you have the computer under control now, you think?
Colette: sounds like you have been busy as usual. Wow a whole hamburger. It didn't hurt you?
Can't believe you ate it.
Elizabeth: she is in surgery this morning. Hope everything goes ok for her and that she does fine afterwards.
Sherr: yeah that arthritis can be a booger can't it? Hope you are feeling better now.
Melanie: so good to hear from you and wish we could meet you. If you decide to come to Branson area email me and let me know I will try to meet you there somewhere. Hope you can have lunch with Colette one day while you are in Mo. She is a wonderful lady and you would enjoy meeting her im sure.
Good Morning all my Missouri Family:
Well it looks like it is gonna be mighty warm today. I am up and trying to get moving. I am stiff from the pool yesterday plus I was playing with my nephew and he loves to be thrown. Needless to say he crashed on my chair in my arms last night by 9:30. DH had to carry him back to his bed. lol
I am gonna be getting my house ready for my family. DH is going to go mow his fathers yard today. Before it gets too hot for him to be outside. So what is everyones plans for today?? I like the sounds of a get together I am all for it!!!
Everyone have a great day!!!
Love ya
Melissa
Hi Fellow Missourians,
I have been MIA on this board lately (I replied to a post a day or so ago but have not been here consistanly in awhile). Looks like things are moving quite a bit over here these days.
I was checking out the plans for a get together...SOUNDS LIKE FUN!
I'm sitting hear counting down my days til surgery...14 days left.... I'm really more excited then nervous. I'm ready to get over this hurdle (surgery) and move on to adjusting/learning to live my new life.
I'm more worried about how I will adjust to eating post-op. I'm ready to learn how but just trying to wrap my mind around what eating post-op will look like. I'm trying to stay as calm as possible about everything. I figure I don't need added stress before going into surgery.
Any who, guess I've rambled enough. Hope everyone here has a lovely day today. I will likely spend my day out getting groceries and doing lunch with my Mom and my kiddos.
Lovely day to all!
~~~Triple C.~~~
Good morning and hello to everyone.
Wow it's been 4 weeks today for me. I can't believe how great I feel. I have added another block to my morning walk. So now I am doing two blocks, which is about ¾ to 1 mile. I jumped on the scale this morning and nothing. I haven't lost a pound this last week. Well I hope it starts coming off again soon, but in the mean time I am feeling better than I have in ages.
I haven't been on here as much as my computer went toes up. I am on my husband's computer now. I have been using his to read everyone's posts. And a state get together sounds like a really fun time to me. So if I am around count me in.
Jan I hope you are feeling better. And I hope everyone else is doing ok. Shoot I hope you all are doing great.
Well you all take care and have a great day.
God Keep and Bless Each and Every One of You.
Sky
Good evening everyone,
As usual I am one of the last. Got called out to work today, was to have the day off. Jan maybe you are working too hard. Take time to rest some. I know that is like the pot calling the kettle black. LOL
A special hello and welcome to Triple C. Welcome aboard!!!
Craig - great poem and story. Keep it up. Did you read my post from yesterday?
Melanie - I will get back to you when we get back from Iowa. Golden Corral sounds good to me and they accept the Gastro Card. Eat for childs price.
Melissa - pool sounds great. Fun to spend time with kids too
Elizabeth - hope you are feeling much better by tomorrow. Those bones are no fun to mess with.
Sky - You are such an inspiration with your walking. Dont be so possessed about the weight loss or no loss. Body has to take time to re-adjust. I have 27 pounds to go. It is slow but I eat right.
Wayne - I dont buy your excuse of no time. I had 6 kids. LOL I guess maybe us women have to teach you how to multitask so you get 10 minutes to post. Remember how important it was for you before and after surgery.???? Now I am a preachers wife and I just gave you a sermon. LOL
Benny - counting the days and we are happy for you.
Sherr - hang in there. We all care.
If I forgot anyone - please forgive. I got to go now and water the plants and garden. Have a great evening. Colette
Ok I have heard of the Gastro Card but I don't have one. Where do you get one?
It sure would come in handy at times when friends and family want to go out and I think wow what a waste of money for me to go somewhere like Golden Corral.
So please inlighten me on the cards. LOL
Take care and God Bless you all
Sky
Hello everyone:
Wow you certainly have beautiful weather in this neck of the woods. I love it here. We live in London Ontario and always like to vacation here because we are assured of a warm summer. We like to spend Christmas here because we can almost be assured that we won't have to shovel snow or anything remotely like that. So you get to have the best of the 4 seasons. We love it here.
If we should happen to get to Branson I will e-mail you Jan. Can anyone tell me when the support group meetings are at Dr. Hornbostel's group is? I would like to attend.
Thank you all for the warm welcome and hopefully I will get to meet Colet when she comes home next week. Talk again soon.
Melanie
